Hands-on review of the Infinix Note 3

When I received a phone call from Infinix mobile saying they had a parcel for me, I couldn’t contain my excitement, I opened the box and booom! An Infinix Note 3, it was just everything I hoped for and more.

You know how we all love heavy phones, the first thing I noticed was that despite the size, the Infinix Note 3, can neither be described as heavy nor light but instead, it is perfect for handling whether in your hands, pocket or hand bag.

The Infinix Note 3 comes with a 6? screen size with an amazing screen resolution; 1080 x 1920 pixels with a density of 368 pi.  The Note 3 also runs on  XOS – an Infinix exclusive custom user interface that is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with pretty dope themes and wallpaper switches.

This device has been helpful in this load shading period we have in Zambia because Infinix changed the battery game in the phone business by introducing a non-removable 4,500 mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery, which is the highest battery capacity so far from any Infinix device and is also said to be able to go into full charge in just 99 minutes.

The Note 3 comes with a 2 GB RAM, a MT6753 Octa-core 1.3GHz processor and ARM MALI T720 MP3 450 MHz Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) which translate to the device running  pretty fast as against freezing even when several tabs and apps are open.

With a dual sim capacity, the Note 3 also helps to erase any unnecessary thoughts of having to buy another phone to accommodate my second; I have both Sims in one good device and can switch data networks with just a touch of a button.

The best part of the specs for me is the Fingerprint technology. The Infinix Note 3 allows you to unlock, take pictures and what’s not with a one touch fingerprint sensor. It also allows you to put in up to 5 fingerprint signatures.

Anyone that knows me knows that I love pictures, I mean who’s a blogger if you don’t have pictures, so after discovering the amazing specifications of the Note 3, only one thing was left for me to unravel was the camera.

The Infinix Note 3 comes with a 13MP back camera and 5 Mega Pixel front cameras. Being a fan of IPhone, I can testify that apple products don’t disappoint when it comes to that so I was hesitant in giving the note 3 a chance but hey I was in for a good surprise.

I took the camera for a spin and came up with pretty dope pictures.

  1. Most MT6xxx processors powered gadgets are prone to viruses, has this been spared? This is just another mediatek (chinese or korean as it is well known in Zambia) which has just been overrated.
