  2. This is a “fire fighting” feat and everyone knows that he has gone to apologise to the king of another country called Barotseland for the immediate past infringement between the mmd and the king and his tribesmen. How convenient! Two-day work visit, my foot!!

  3. good job banda, may you give litunga two brown envelops so that the barotse royal establishment can keep quite and support u. i will join you once i get back from Nigeria. meanwhile make sure

  4. If all people wake up and put Rupiah in pressure he will stop dozing and get down to work. Simasiku Namakando and your team you have worked, ahulu. Let all people demand accountability from government.

  5. totally funny. ballie skims he’s dealing with tuma dum dum kids. after a tantrum is thrown in western province and he knows he aint liked anymore, suddenly he wants to visit developmental projects that he doesnt even give a toss about in the first place. first thing he’s going to say wen he gets back to lusaka is “Damn! I cudnt stand that joint another second! The things we have to endure to get a bunch of lousy votes!”

  6. Solwezi seems to have woken up our president 4rm his johnnie walker induced slumber….looks like he’s now heeding peoples advice(namakando),the quicker he does this rather than listen to the likes of mabenga, the more likely(however slim) he has a chance of saving his presidency in 2011. I hear shikapwasha is saying the party is ready to iron out differences it has with mpombo…….hmmn! Isn’t it a bit too late, all those words spoken?

  11. @20, Jalasi Daun
Deputies??? I cant remember, what with recent reshuffles, I guess even RB himself doesn’t know them all!!

  12. Working visit ? Well well, coming after the Namakando and MMD strategy issues I wonder what next. A prominent Lozi for appointment.Possibly as Veep. MMD lost Solwezi and a “prominent” Kaonde(Teddt Mulonga) quickly appointed to try and make peace. This is really “water in a basket” as Aka said.

  13. #.15.sambman. Solwezi has not been entirely disastrous especially for VP Kunda. It has afforded him an opportunity to go and make some allowances in Trinidad instead of his boss. Nature has a way of reaching an equilibrium.

  14. Why is western province the least developed province in zambia?(true or false) is it lack of investors in this area or tribalism.

  15. The President and his entourage should have stayed in Western Province for more than 2 days. Visiting Kalabo and inspecting Developmental Projects is not enough. What about Lukulu, Senenga, Shesheke and Kaoma. This was the right time meet all stakeholders and come up with a common position on all burning issues. Western Province should be handled with care once it drifts that will be the end of MMD in terms of numbers. The Pact is busy salivating over Western Province just as the MMD is hoping for the PF-UPND Pact to crumble. The MMD stands more to lose in Western Province.

  16. Western province has put itself in that position. It’s the only province where investors first have to get permission from the traditional leaders even after been cleared by government. Shoprite had to fight it out before they could build there premises and they where only given a plot away from the main town centre. Those guys have remained behind because they don’t want to move with time. In the Kaunda era, they refused to accept companies like Zambian Breweries and instead relied on home brewed beers like kachasu and all that Lozi staff. Watch that province remain in the Jurassic era while other provinces move on.

  17. I THINK THE PRESIDO HAS NOW SEEN THE WRITNGS ON THE WALL….Kumunzi ni Kubotu…..# you are seriously crucking up my Ribs

  18. We salute the president for this bold move to galvanize the nation. Change for the sake of change? No ways. Zambians will not have short memories. Dangerously handing over power to a pact whose combined ideology is unknown! Currently these two entities are independent of each other trying hard to shake off the hard facts of thuggery, lawlessness and tribalism. On their side is a newspaper run by men who have failed to explain their own Zambia Airways, Magande & anti corruption crusade matrix. Zambia is not for sale.

  19. Someone is “protrudingly” conspicous in there absence lately! He is in the U.S. We told him before Kasama, as well as before Solwezi. We told him there could only be one winner in this stand-off with Western province…… We are now saying that MMD or Rather RB, will not be the president beyond 2011 unless he starts getting his priorities right, demonstrate leadership and competency, and treat us Zambians with the respect that we deserve. While you are at it, please keep your clothes on while in public.

  20. Very interesting this time campaingns will have to start right up now cause if he delays the PACT will engulf him.Now simple advise the President should just apoint the vice president from Western province the bikaling will go

  21. # Boys dont be deceived, RB will be in Copenhagen, Denmark next week for Climate Change Summit
just watch this space. He will then tell you I was in Monze, I went to Kalabo to inspect projects now I am entitled to travel abroad again, By the way Kaunda went everywhere and you never complained why do you complain about me?

  22. The people of western province should send him to his plane packing. I wonder how much Namakando was given. The man is now singing a new song, and blaming Mabenga. No scruples.

  23. Are the suits these dudes wear sown at Kamwala market? They look terrible.

  24. God 24 Ministers with some ministries have two deputies. 24++ Permanent Secretaries plus deputies, 9Provincial permanent secretaries with deputies. 9Provincial Minister. 73 district commissioners. Now they want to increase MPs . It is true laziness and lack of passion to serve and work is a cancerous disease that we need to address. Why having alot of posts for doing nothing. No wonder priorities for masses are not considered but personal gains.

  26. Going by the PF cadre centered constitution which UPND is now a subordinate member to, their dreamed PACT Government will have evenly shared cadre representation at all levels of Government, HH has already recruited 9 Vice Presidents he is bringing with him from each province while Sata has his own too.Under their communist utopia we are talking of two Presidents from each PACT party, 18 Vice Presidents evenly divided by the 2, 18 provincial ministers, 18 Provincial PS, 2 speakers, 2 deputies, 2 Chief Justices with each Defense and Security formation taking 2 Chiefs.Cabinet ministerial positions will be staffed by 2 ministers representative of each party.Theirs would be a Grand scale Government with every cadre employed. That is how communists work.

  27. I hear the Litunga Lubosi Lewanika has declined a request for an audiance with Banda on grounds that the Litunga does not talk to people who have been peeved on by a tailed primate called Kolwe. Till he leaves State House, Banda’s role has been reduced to fire extingusher. Next trip should be to Kafulafuta to apologise to Mpombo and Lambas for insulting Levy.

  28. #30 Livingstonian… I never new that Zambian Breweries wanted to construct a brewery in Western Province. By the way Shoprite in Mongu was one of the first rural outlets in Zambia. I didnt know that investments are not allowed in Western province. I thought most investors have been discouraged by the poor transport network. There are only two tarred roads in Western province i.e the Lusaka -Mongu road and the Livingstone-Sesheke road. 45 years after independence succesive Zambian govts have failed to build an all weather road from Mongu to Sesheke, Kaoma to Lukulu, and from Mongu to Kalabo. The lack opf infrastructure development is the major reason for lack of investments not the so called ‘tribalism’. This is just lazy and dishonest rubbish sprouted by bums like you.

  29. The truth will always trumph. Namakando stuck to the truth. Bull trickers and fratterers like Mulongonti are always changinging positions when it suit not them but their sponsors. No principal what so ever

  30. #52 u r so behind!! Please read your history. Yes there may be poor road network but devt projects fail to take off because of the so called ‘clearance from the litunga’..this started a long long time ago when these people thought they could be a country on their own and even wanted their own flag! Balishalila..and will continue to be if their mind sets dont change!

  31. #58 KK. The whole of Zambia including your province is backward. Osati kuzinama! 64% of Zambians are wallowing in poverty. That is 64% living on less than two dollars a day. Lozis only constitute 8% of Zambias population. And I wonder as to who constitutes the majority of the 64% who live in poverty. Ba KK this clearence from the Litunga is a figment of your barren imagination. ARC, BHP and the Oil exploration companies that are exploring for minerals in Western Province sort permission from the Ministry of Mines and not the Litunga. Please stop your hallucinations.

  32. The trueth is that people of western province are the poorest because when they leave the province they never go back not untill when they need votes. A friend of mine is Lozi, and can fundraise for Kuomboka but has never been to western province because he is scared of witches and wizards. People of this province have no priorities in life, how can a person fundraise for Kuomboka and leave people to suffer when there are floods in the province. I have never seen these people fundraising for flood victims but can for Kuomboka. Anyway those are Lozis with priorities, from that just conclude and understand why they are so poor.

  33. These people like living well but are so lazy by nature. They can be educated with phds even 20 of them but can never make use of what they learn in class. They move where it is warm because they are lazy, thats why Luvales, Lundas and Kaondes left them.

  34. We welcome you back our President RB. We just wish you more tours so that you continue with your good works. We are seeing a lot of developments through your good policies. The Kwacha has stabilized, more roads are being worked on. What else do we need!
