    • Thandie is scary in one of these pics., but good in the others. So mabe she is not photogenic. Dora looks more than confident for what come may……. Rest of pics ok.

    • Indeed nice pics. Imbwa sha ku West shilishibile na sitting position in the canoe, lest the master’swhole family capsize!, classic.

  1. First Picture is a classic. The man got to do what a man got to do to save his family, dogs included. very nice. Surely this govt calls those roads quality roads. I can see clearly there was no reinforcements on the road bed. Well, I guess they got a cut and have to protect shoddy work. First lady, well enough has been said about here. Looks like she is still where we began. Siliya looks happy and confident

    • Shoddy Road works by Zhing Zhong are an embarrassment. How do we expect to woe investors when our international route is poorly done and proves to be of the lowest standards in the SADC region? Ba Mutati, that Progressive Poultry project should have branches is all provinces not just your in Lusaka. Time Zambia to export poultry since we have failed with beef…. As for Kanyama that is an every year story. I wonder why Kanyama people make so much noise during election time.

  2. Best picture for me is the man in a canoe with is 2 dogs.I thought dogs could swim lol.
And LT please the less we see of this lady something in pictures the better. Can someone show her how Mrs Obama looks like in pictures? We know she is not photogenic but surely there must be a way.The Pres looks far much better now in his armani suits but she would pass for his maid! Zambia has very good local designers as well as make up artists who they can pay using ‘tax payer’s ‘money.Even Gordon Brown’s make up is better than hers.

    • I wont comment pantu LT will accuse me of ‘treason’ But anyway ba TB (Thandiwe Banda)sure even the buju behind looks cuter !

    • Yeah, they need to fire her wardrobe artist, or get her one if she does not have e instead of dressing her in those terrible looking chitenge outfits. Don’t get me wrong chitenge outfits are beautiful but they need to get her presentable ones.

    • Oke but thandiwe needs help. even vera was better in those chitenge suits. She needs help. please tu mar powder tulefwaikwa.

Image building would do on her.

  3. “PF cadre William Harrington leaves the Supreme Court after the Dora Siliya tribunal hearing”
PF Cadre really ?? I wonder who he would sue for that label now ?? hahahaha

    • Yes he is a cadre…a cadre is a person who is affiliated to a particular political party but does not hold any position…i other words a supporter and thats what Harrington is right now.

  4. good pics, our kids look health from sos.flooded homes are a disgrace to leaders esp lsk city council, every yr we have the same problems, shame on them.PF,yo mayor at lsk, what is doing about these floods in kanyama,MMD what’s yo Teta doing at local gov’t about these perennial ghostly floods???????????????? ,yr in yr out same issues, fokofu!!!!!

  5. Baby C,yu are right, our first lady requires an urgent personnel to advise on her wardrobe.she is quite pretty but the attire subtracts heavily on her appearances and adds a few more yrs to her real age.let her view some official pics of Rice in the states or even masebo locally or her her immediate past 1st lady maureen.

  6. Interesting pictures indeed. The first one reminded me of the first and last time I crossed the Zambezi river in Senanga just near to Senanga Safaris in about 1998. It was a scaring thing to move from the town side over water to the plains in a canoe.
Thank God I made it to and from the PLAINS safely alive. I must thus make mention that all those who use canoes as transport channels in their every day lives are brave. I hope the government will look into placing a bridge or something to help the people of Senanga to be moving nicely to and from the flood plains.

  7. LT, what is the latest on Mr Cardson Kabwe? I saw some news on MUVI TV indicating that the Munali Constituency MP confirmed that a Zambian Student studying in Russia was to undergo a heart operation on Thursday (yesterday) – the first positive serious comment or thing in the Mr C. Kabwe story from a government official.

    • Let LT help us with this data. I believe even President RB Banda’s GRZ is keen also to learn of the progress on Mr Cardson Kabwe’s condition.

  8. Thankyou bloggers for loving me, I am the one crossing the river with my child and three dogs. The third dog hid from the camera.

  9. My dog almost fainted when it saw a crocodile that resembled a certain political figure shortly after this short was taken. I saw it coming if you see what I mean. My dog when it comes to image and style. The next moment was a surprise for it. From nowhere, a croc that sure looks like this certain man appeared. My dog has never been scared of crocs, but that day!

    • SHE IS A NSENGA AND AS YOU WOULD GUESS WITH NSENGA WOMEN SHE INSULTED HIS LATE FATHER EVERYDAY AND THAT IS THE ONE THING BEMBAS CAN NOT STAND.SHE BROUGHT DOWN MONDO MUSIC TRYING TO RAISE MONEY FOR BORE HOLES IN HER CONSTITUENCY..

  10. Ba LT u r MMD ka.Coz if i try to post anything abt it u dnt post my comment. No wonder u wrote PF cadre on Wil.Harringtons pics.I wil stil say MMD is a F**ls party

  11. Kanyama Geological structure does not allow for human habitation. It lies in the recharge area of the Lusaka limestone aquifer and as such it cannot be drained using conventional methods of digging ditches or pumping. As a rule since thats where aquifer is exposed on ground, we are supposed to plant a protected forest there. Shame on our town planners

    • Its not only Kanyama mwana, Lusaka was not supposed to be allowed to grow into a big city that it has become because most parts of it is underlain by a weak dolomite rock. The foundation of findeco house is near the border of the strong granite and weak dolomite thats why its tilting. As for the flooding, if RB and his govt talk to me nicely, I can help to solve the Lusaka floods…..

  12. LSKTimes thanks for the first pic, it just goes to show a man’s best friend is a dog, the missing wife tells a lot .She probably refused to get on a cheap canoe .Cats are missing as well because kwahae cats are a necessity because of the koswe’s there that probably come from southern province

  13. Where’s the man’s wife in the first pic? just goes to show dogs are man’s best friend and show loyalty during hard times. His wife probably ran away from him because she did not want to be seen in such a canoe. Where are the cats ?

  14. Why is Thandiwe refered to as ‘LADY’ thandiwe? I don’t remember lady betty, lady vera or even lady maureen

    • SEE THE PICTURE AGAIN. THE TITLE IN THE PICTURE IS FIRST LADY. THE WORD “FIRST” IS ABOVE TO THE RIGHT. IT IS AN ALIGNMENT ERROR.

    • IMWE BA GUY RELAX. Check on the right corner edge of the pictures. Problem you are pre occupied with fault finding. Naimwe Ba Zeus don’t just agree right away – WHICH GOOD POINT and EYE?

  15. I just LOVE picture no.1.

    That’s my man. Thanks LT.

Damaged road, there was no road at all. Is that teh quality of our roads. Too thin. No wonder they dont last.

    • bushe guyz ninani who has stayed mu komboni before with a pitlatrine? that waters ku kanyama is a disaster,i have to prepare for paging from my uncle palya pa misisi.nimatenda ndiye kani chabe na mvula.

  16. If all men were as caring and loving as the man in pic nambala one, i guess it could have been a better world!

    • Thanks you ma sista for pointing that out…that man is so full of love that he even cares for his dogs too. He is smart enough to put the dogs in two different ends so they do not fight and capsize the banana boat.

  17. LT be a bit reasonable, you sound as if you have something against Harrington……… was it too much trouble for you to use the word Former Minister. Don’t be mad at him for leaving your sweet MMD. Improve on that please. Try by all means to sound neutral.

    • Chisha naiwe, be nice…chisha and dora were birds of the same fathers, they both were sleeping around…and found that very difficult to sort out since they were both victims and defendants at the same time.

  18. Mulongoti saw quality in such shoddy work. no wonder we are poor. surely mulongoti palya apelele ubufi sululu pa ka kanwa kakwe.

  19. Pic #8. These counterfeit products are all over Lusaka. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between a genuine product and an imitation. An interesting story I came across was that the makers of Coca Cola are planning to sue Trade Kings over their Havana Cola soft drink. I then bought myself a bottle of Havana Cola, and God didn’t I like it? It tastes like Coca Cola, probably tastier. It reminded me of the Coca Cola we used to drink in the 70s. Gives you a clue how old I am.

    • muli shimbi big man,at least you have maintained your current affiars, age is nothing but a state of mind.

KUDOS TO YOU FOR BEING CREATIVE,who would have known.

  20. what are counterfiet drinks for god’s sake? fake drinks? WTF???
also i didn’t realize the extent of the damage to the lusaka-chirundu road

    • By counterfeit, they are referring to a product that is not genuine, an imitation of something superior. But in the above example, I wonder which is counterfeit. The ‘Cola Cola’ which tastes like the original 1970s product or the one we are being sold these days. I am a bit confused.

  21. Nice pictures LT. Pic # 1 like everyone has noted stands out. These are the kind of pictures which should continue featuring – common village life. Ba First Lady “baleumfwishya uluse” in her first picture. Amongst the other pictures i have noticed a “John White” in a suit – i have also seen this character in muppet show (one of “filya fibili ifiba kunuma” when the show is in progress). And yes, i have also seen Miss PIGGY in one of the pictures. Somebody in the week refuted claims that the roads gave in due to poor quality – the pictures here are self explanatory “mwebantu!”

  22. Red Lipstick , its as if somebody just took part in eating recently slaughtered raw meat and they forgot to wipe their mouth

  23. Those creatures possing as dogs in the first photo can not be dogs, there could be Human beings inside.Just look at the way they are sitted ,positions they took and where they are facing. In such situations a dog would not sit down

  24. Oh Lord my God I know complaits overshadows blessings from you,but the rain is just to much pa Zed.Please Lord do something for your children.Yesterday I was talking to my Mum and she told me “Terrence manawangu sure nvura kuno yanyanya so milisi ku farm yayamba kuola” So my God do something about these rains,Just have a look my God at the damage the same rains have caused to the roads.I pray through Christ our redeemer Amen.

  25. Pic #1 will make a very good cover for my dissertation “Focussing on Progress” The hounds’ position is just perfect! LT Editor, permission to use this talking picture?

  26. Great pictures I being from the east I loved my first trip to the Barotse plains. Kuomboka was touching for it reminded of the true greatness of our united Zambia. Ladies give Mrs Thandie Banda a break. I know she needs fashion remedies, she is beautiful but I think she has not realized she is first lady yet. Greetings to all bloggers helping keep our Gov. And opposition in check. Yes Harrington is a cadre like anyone belonging to any party. God’s blessings.

  27. Ba Willian Harrington with a suit with broken buttons, is the economy so bad???? Dora looks like first lady material he he he he.

  28. Picture 2 just makes me very angry. Angry not with government but with the so called civil engineers we have in Zambian public services. Who in the world would have designed and approved this as a highway? There is no substrata and nothing to prevent the road from being undermined! Please is this the quality of engineers UNZA is producing today? This is uncivil! Any engineers who participated in this project and the company that tarred this road should be shot!

  29. And then Kanyama! Every government including KK’s has failed to avert disaster here. What is right with Zambia? Floods in rain season and all the water goes to waste and then come the dry season, not a single drop of water anywhere! God help us! Lord send us a Joseph as vice president. One who will save a people by prudent management of resources.

  30. I hope Someone close to the first lady is taking notes and advising her on her dress code..I know that some of her stepchildren are bloggers on LT. It wouldn’t hurt for them to go to their stepmother and tell her that their wives who are most likely older than Thandiwe) look better than her and she should step up her game

  31. Pic #9. Our women ‘enjoy’ showing off what they are made of. Where in the West would you find women dancing like this? I am told Dora Siliya is good at gyrating her waist too – typical of Nsenga women. She doesn’t do it in public though.

  32. Hey people since when did we become so westernised dat we evn start to call our traditional dresssing a sham?? c’mon for once bantu cant u be happy with havin simpler things in life? her dressing is fine on the SOS picture she is not michell obama for christ sake she is mrs banda! if there is one thing i could agree on is than perhaps she needs a stylist to make her traditional dresses more attrative and different from the rest.

  33. PICTURE NUMBER ONE IS THE BEST. HERE, WHOEVER WAS THE PILOT OF THAT ‘SHIP’ WOULD HAVE WON A LOT OF MONEY. ITS A CLASSIC. SUCH ARE THE PICTURES MOST ZAMBIANS IN DIASPORA WOULD LIKE TO SEE, AND JUST THE COUNTRY-SIDE. LT, CONGRATULATIONS FOR #1 IMAGE. BUT, PAY THAT MAN SOME MONEY. HE’S A RESPONSIBLE CHARACTER.
