Former United Bus of Zambia (UBZ) employees in Northern Province have promised to turn out in numbers for the declared national day of prayers to forgive government for delaying to pay them their terminal benefits.
Speaking on behalf of other employees to ZANIS today, Jameson Mponyela observed that it would be important for all former UBZ workers to put everything aside and join hands with Government in preaching the word of reconciliation.
Mr Mponyela said God answers people in so many ways, adding that this could also be the only time that God could use Government leaders to look into their plight after prayers.
He said the former UBZ workers understand that Government also faces many financial challenges, adding that it was difficult for it to respond to many problems at once.
Mr Mponyela further said it is against this back ground that they got delighted to note that President Edgar Lungu has decided to involve God in his leadership.
He also urged politicians not to politicize this important day of prayers as it was anchoring on Christian values.

Forgive govt for the delay??? how long has this delay lasted? But even so, I don’t see govt suddenly having a lot of money after national day of prayers!! Life will continue normally as it has been.

ahmmmmmm! UBZ and non payment of terminal benefits. who is supposed to pay these fellows? do they even exists. Chagwa may have his short comings but giving him this one too, would be unfair.
HH privatized UBZ and the mines and ended up pocketing all the monies himself. Go to him and may be he can give you 10% of that wealth he has.
