A fire ravaged through Imuba Village of Katongo Lower area in Mongu burning down 19 houses, leaving 74 people homeless and killed a two and a half year old boy on Sunday, October 18, 2015. The fire started when a young girl of 15 years was cooking on a brick mould stove around 11 hours in the morning.Details of how the fire spread are not clear.

Zambian villagers should learn something from Malawi villagers. There are no villages in Malawi now which are grass thatched.
Sad development, hope these people are assisted fully. The pictures show the structures in some of our villages who one blogger has refused them being called houses. This is a fact of the state of affairs in our peaceful and rich country, sad.
The Litunga looks rich enough to provide for these poor families. It is time to show that you care for your people Sir, do something now!
