German company introduces energy-saving stove to Levy

Share

A German company, PT Climate Projects today introduced an energy saving cooker to President Levy Mwanawasa at State House.

After the demonstration of how the “Save 80” cooker works, Minister of Energy and
Water Development, Kenneth Konga, said the concept was encouraging as it was
environmentally friendly.

Mr. Konga said government, through line ministries, would consider allowing a pilot
project to be introduced before it was widely circulated around the country.

He said the project may help government make a lot of savings in terms of firewood
energy.

And PT Climate Project Chief Executive Officer, Klaus Trifellner said the “Save 80”
cooker technology was environmentally friendly as it emits minimal carbon gasses and
uses twigs to heat up the pots.

Mr. Trifellner said his company was contemplating introducing the “save 80” cooker
as a pilot project in the country.

  1. Where is TambaTamba of TDAU? Stop making versions of iminko, please think big, twasebena, aya ama projects ya so ma undergraduate ku German balemba, nomba ifwe lyonse ni pa arcades nangu pa chez temba, cibisana

  2. #2 Kuku,
TT aka TambaTamba just knows copy and paste, hahahaha so no worries. Since he copied the Ox-Cart, till today he is still using same technology.
When is he inventing a machine that can cook nshima? NO,ati NO Funds from Boma,he comes up with umwiko.
Because these german’s have made many things ie benz, bmw, audi etc but ifwe ni tech ya ubushiku yabuloshi ifye na tech ya mutoto from Eastern Province to give Elina a good run for the Money. Nothing else, life starts with beer, sex and food and ends in the same order.
No wonder everything BAD is associated to be BLACK,ok black magic, blackmail, blacksheep etc. Just read that the most deadly and serious malaria and HIV is in Sub-Sahara region. nivundu
We have abundant water yet we still have the most dried taps in the world.
Abundant land space, yet we have squeezed and shatty compounds.
Bushe, is Africa’s wealth it’s curse?
Ok,with Nigeria it is,because they have oil yet they queue and have shortages of oil by-products.

  3. This habit of having presentations to the president involving “technological advancements” must stop. Let us use our presidents time for more important things or if his advisors insist, for indigenous Zambian innovations. This is how KK was embarrased over the diesel from grass saga. You never hear of Bush/Blair/Mbeki/Merkel attending to such “funny innovative launches” by foreigners!!

  4. #4 Iwe mwaice walaba shani ati chuchu has assumed a Mr know it all? He is good at giving directives,so people slowly are begining to shy away from thinking. He is incharge of Esco grounds,GMOs,everything he doesnot believe on delegation. So nama stove kumutwalila ati moneni ba kateka, na eclipse inga yaisa, no one should come to see it until chuchu says so

  5. Guys lets be fair.We must learn to own up when we fail.Check those low and cheap clay chinese copy imbaula from TDAU UNZA.Try presenting one to Bakateka and see if he will contain the pollution.
The Germans have scored again.Guys we learnt in Physical chemistry about adiabatic reactions. How best can we conserve and maximise energy.Ok,you continue maximising beer drinking and criticising,i am buying one of those energy save 80 cooker. You have seen the wonders it does.Zambians we like criticising but offer no alternatives. If you can beat them they will beat you!

  6. Uwakwenshobushiku bamutasha ilyo bwacha! The save 80 stove may have come through the Levy, but will impact the poor wood based energy demanding lot. These form the majority that consume charcoal (85% in Lusaka alone). With power outages, you need that stove now more than ever!
For me, I could not wait to lay my hands on one. It is doing wonders at home. I do not even need the dirty charcoal in the corner of my diggo or indeed the boot of my car. Seriously speaking ; if this stove can help conserve forests, I would every Zambian that uses charcoal to switch to this stove first; and the German smart heads to begin producing the stoves here- After all we have the famous Steel Mill in Kafue!

  7. Wonderful goods from you, man. I have consider your stuff previous to and you’re just extremely magnificent.
