Zambia next 2017 Africa Cup Group E opponents Guinea Bissau are feeling confident about securing their home game against Chipolopolo in June.
Guinea Bissau stealthy rose to the summit of Group E after 1-0 home and away victories over bottom placed Kenya to take a one point lead of the pool.
The Group E victories were coach Baciro Cande first in charge since taking over from Paulo Torres who left the job in February due to a four-match CAF ban that ruled him out of the qualifiers.
Torres was banned following a bust-up with a match official in their 0-0 away draw against Zambia last June.
Guinea Bissau next host Zambia on June 3 in a penultimate Group E fixture looking for a win that could end Chipolopolo’s interest in the qualifiers.
“We are now top of the group and with two matches remaining we can think about the dream,E Cande is qouted by Portuguese sports daily O Jogo.
“We want to build on this latest win as we head to the next game.”
Guinea Bissau have 7 points while second placed Congo and third positioned Zambia are separated on goal difference tied on 6 points.
Kenya are bottom with 1 point from four games played.
Very tricky indeed; and Zambia would have to be at their best if they have to come out of this one. Good luck!
Let’s wait for final game in September
Kalu would have corupted officials for zambia to win… poor Kamanga doest know what to do.
So where was Kalu when Zambia drew with Guinea Bissau at home in Ndola? Now that he is out, it’s when Zambia will remember him…really? What was the magic he used to perform? Indeed, it remains to be seen.
This is when you ll remember kalu s contributions to the coaching bench which included discipline of players no ichibeleshi players do anything bcoz names.
The fact is ginea/congo may go thru but lets try our our lucky.
If congo beat kenya and ginea then they go on, if ginea draw with zed and draw with congo, zed beat kenya and kenya lose to congo then 3 top teams will have 9 points each goal difference will separate them of which the ginea game shud be a win to push ginea out of the way.
Just learn to win all home matches like Guinea has done then you will avoid all this mumbo jumbo.
I told you right from the onset of the qualifications that Lwandamna will not take Zambia anywhere but you made noise about hiring a local coach.Where are you now?Nigeria,South Africa,Angola all with local coaches have kissed the AFCON tournament bye!
In the meantime the PE teacher’s team was the first to qualify for the finals. Already home and dry Renard’s team is waiting for us to finish doing calculations.

@Soccer analyst, Guinea just won 1 home match against Kenya, they lost the first one 2-4 to Congothe other win was away to Kenya and a draw away to Zambia. So they have just 1 home win please check you facts correctly.
Comment: people should be aware that only one team from each group will qualify to the finals
Waaaaaaaaah! PE teacher where are you? We are stuck here with Kamanga and Chicken George!
