Govt urges workers at UTH to develop positive attitude to patients

Share

Government urged health workers at the University Teaching Hospital, UTH, to develop a positive attitude towards patients despite the many challenges they face in carrying out their duties.

Minister of Health, Kapembwa Simbao, says the Ministry has acknowledged the problems the workers face but that it has financial constraints to address all the problems at once.

Mr. Simbao was speaking when he officiated at the Labour Day prize giving ceremony at UTH today.

And UTH Managing Director, Peter Mwaba, said management at the institution is trying to address the plight of workers so as to improve service delivery at the institution.

  1. Dont just acknowledge the workers’ problems, do something. You dont have financial constriants when it comes to increasing your own salaries!

  2. Thats right you cant solve all the problems at UTH at once.I just want to ask you of one thing, solve some of those most urgent problems-priorities ka

  3. It needs management intervention and managers can empower employees and motivate them. Workers are the most important asset of a workplace, therefore don’t just talk the talk you should walk it.

  4. how can workers develop positive attitude wen they are under paid and unhappy.its a 50-50 thing give em good money and respect then they’ll be happy workers and positive attitude towards patients will develop.
