A 23 year old girl of PWD Compound in Chief Munkanta‘s area in Kawambwa has given birth to triplets from her first pregnancy. Kawambwa district hospital In-Charge, Kasonde Chanda has confirmed the development.
Dr. Chanda said Josephine Bwalya safely gave birth to triplet boys on Monday this week through a caesarian section.
He said Bwalya is currently admitted to the hospital under observation for the wound to heal while the children are all doing fine. And speaking from her hospital bed, Bwalya is appealing to well-wishers for extra clothes and food for the babies.
Bwalya says the father to the triplets has no means of providing for the babies because he earns a living out of selling from the street.
