George Lwandamina made a roaring competitive start to his tenure as Young Africans coach this weekend.
Young African returned to league action after their two week mid season break with a 3-0 away win over strugglers Ruvu Stars on Saturday,.
New signing Zambia midfielder Justin Zulu did not make his debut.
The result saw Lwandamina take command of the summit for at least 24 hours before archrivals Simba reclaimed top spot on Sunday to restore their two-point lead over Yanga.
“I understand that today (Sunday) they (Simba) have won and they returned to the top but we are going to ensure to win our matches to put them under pressure which would be a benefit to us,” Lwandamina said.
Young Africans are chasing third straight league title and have 21 titles while Simba are close behind with 18 honours.
Way to go George and make your money honestly, 18,000 US$ per month!
