Minister of Health, Kapembwa Simbao has dismissed claims that opposition Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata’s granddaughter, Kayula, died because of government’s inertia.
Mr. Simbao was reacting to a news story in one of the daily newspapers that Mr. Sata was quoted as saying “My Granddaughter has died because of government inertia”.
The Ministry of Health has since sent a message of condolences on the untimely death of Mr. Sata’s granddaughter.
Mr. Simbao said the late Kayula was sent to South Africa for treatment and appropriate therapeutic attention was initiated over a year ago.
He also said the Ministry of Health shall always endeavour to ensure that there was equity of access to affordable, cost effective and quality services to all Zambians.
Meanwhile, Mr. Simbao expressed gratitude that most health workers in the country have called off their strike and returned.
But government has since maintained the deadline of midnight of the 29th of June as the day health workers who have not resumed work would consider themselves fired.
Mr. Simbao said health workers that did not resume work by last night should considered themselves dismissed.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Mr. Simbao has since appealed to persons qualified for employment as health workers and were registered with an appropriate authority to submit their application letters to the nearest Provincial Medical Officer, District Medical Officer, District Director of Health or the Hospital Executive Director.
ZANIS
The nonsense in Simbao will haunt him forever. How many nurses has he trained as a minister of health? You think those who retired or resigned sometime ago are still in Zambia? be realistic Kapembwa, its those very nurses who are all over the world and these are the ones you are banking on as retired nurses. why did they retire? they are old or have lost interest in being called zambian nurses. so stop dreaming that you have a pool of nurses to employ from. let the mass exodus begin, viva nurses aluta continua
who does that I.DIOT think he is? so what? how many people in low earning income households have lost their memebers? So what should we do?? hold a state funeral for him? he should learn to offer constructive views not those emotional poliitical games.yaba
Much as i would agree that our health system is poor(inertia) i would also state that Mr sata is not innovative. His claims were just political propaganda.
Can somebody update me; what is the situation like? Are nurses back for work or what
Ministers and their relatives go to private hospitals or Clinics thats why they were threating Nurses. This R B Goverment is the most useless i have ever seen in Zambia how can somebody think so low as to employee retired & nurses from Zimbabwe is that what R B was promising Robert when he went to Zimbabwe.
Iwe simbao just shut your gob! Why do you want to extort the nurses? If the few nurses we have in the country also quit for greener pastures abroad who do you think will provide health services in our hospitals?Just increase their salaries thats all.Mwilakosa imitima nge button lya pali overall..!
In Wusakile Township Kitwe a family which was not on good terms with their neighbour went to the Township office with a view of moving house. At the offices the Human Resource Officer in charge of housing asked them why they wanted to shift to another house, upon which the father of the family explained that they were having bad nights in that every time they woke up they would find that “somebody” had moved them from their beds to the floor. The officer told them: “That problem is very simple. What you do tonight is sleep on the floor and see if this somebody will put you in your beds.”
Too bad he has lost a grand daughter, but much as I know it is cheap politiKING Cobra as usual. There we have it, by virtue of her having been related to Mr Sata the person in question has had even an opportunity to be taken to South Africa when other poor people have not. Condolences, but I do not believe him.
Evidently Sata is a sick head i.d.i.o.t whose propaganda is only ideal for f.o.o.l.s.How do you lie about your granddaughter whose fate was sealed in South Africa a year ago.He has been spending all the donations on politics denying his responsibility to give the baby what he was told to do a year ago.No wonder he refused to go for scheduled medical check in 2006 for lost political campaign when he knows he has a rotten heart with metals in.This f.o.o.l is a serious liability to opposition politics. You mean he has no wife to help him see the need for a integrity? What does the family think of him with all these lies.No wonder he his irresponsibility costed his son Chilufya to drugs and death in the bedroom without family noticing for days.
#9 surely you are disgusting. Why dont you just make your point instead of being foul mouthed. These actions just demean your level of understandind and debating issues.
RB CONSOLES SATA
By Times Reporter
PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda on Sunday visited the funeral house of Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata’s granddaughter to console the opposition leader on the demise of the child.
Mr Banda visited the funeral house in the afternoon and held discussions with Mr Sata to console the bereaved family on the loss of the child.
When contacted for a comment, special assistant to the president for Press and public relations, Dickson Jere confirmed the visit by the president to the funeral house in Lusaka’s Kabulonga area but declined to give details.
“Yes I can confirm that the president visited the funeral house to console the family,” Mr Jere said.
The deceased Kayula was daughter of Mr Sata’s first born, Mulenga.
Deja Vu,
How do you want to describe a retard like him who lives on lies for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Do you see the unmatchable lunancy ever seen?
How does he look now that PRESIDENT Rupiah Banda on Sunday visited the funeral house of Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata’s granddaughter to console the opposition leader on the demise of the child.

This gov´t is worse than Somali govt
As much as everyone or most of you here dont like Simbads decision i feel this is what has been lacking in Zambia politics. We should not make decisions that are or because they popular in the short term.
On Sata sorry for your loss but do not bring your gran dauhters death into the political arena it just makes you look heartless
UPND goes communist as 4 vice presidents are appointed by HH.
THE extraordinary general assembly of the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) ended on Saturday evening with some its “major resolutions being an increase in the number of party vice-presidents from two to four”.
UPND spokesperson, Charles Kakoma said in an interview from Kapiri Mposhi yesterday that the four vice-presidents will be for administration, politics, economics and gender.
“At the end of our extraordinary general assembly, we amended the party constitution to expand the national management committee by increasing the number of vice-presidents from two to four,” he said.
Mr Kakoma said one vice-president will be in charge of administration, the other for politics while the other…
will be in charge of economics and gender respectively.
He said the party constitution was further amended to create new positions in various committees up to branch level.
Often timez, az government, it iz cheaper not to just “defend” themslves with regard to what poeple say.
big whats up to KAPOKO,THE BROKEN HILL & MY BEST enermy welai MMD ntwenu.Your government is not performing to the expections of the people
On “Minister of Health, Kapembwa Simbao has dismissed claims that opposition Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata’s granddaughter, Kayula, died because of government’s inertia“, I hope the Minister Simbao is serious.
As for “He also said the Ministry of Health shall always endeavour to ensure that there was equity of access to affordable, cost effective and quality services to all Zambians Let the MMD GRZ be serious with what and how they do things for I doubt the all Zambians as a few senior GRZ and opposition officials are sent to South Africa for specialist treatment – a thing that has to be stopped so that better equipment can be bought to motivate our Zambian health personal working at home.
Anyhow, have a blessed day.

Interesting development
i have not got the full story but it looks to me everyone whats to have a say. To have a vice president for economic, admin etc i dont see the sense in them being called vice president(s). If such positions are being created now in UPND what will the PF say are they also going to have 4 VPs. I see a sitution where there is confusion regarding party positions for the pact let me not say anymore

This move will give us confidence that the President RB Banda MMD GRZ is working on giving all qualified graduates employment.

20/1 Chapi and 26 C.I.A greetings. On C.I.A‘s “If such positions are being created now in UPND what will the PF say are they also going to have 4 VPs. I see a sitution where there is confusion regarding party positions for the pact let me not say anymore“, well the UPND may be about to give Inonge Wina a vice presidency position according to the data I heard some months ago.
I believe, the move by the mighty UPND is to make sure that pressure on the president is reduced and there is not power struggle on take over party leadership in an event where a sitting UPND president dies.
As for PF, they can do what is necessary for them.
Coming to the PACT issues, I will outline a best case model below.
Have a blessed day.

On the 20/1 Chapi‘s “UPND spokesperson, Charles Kakoma said in an interview from Kapiri Mposhi yesterday that the four vice-presidents will be for administration, politics, economics and gender. This move could also be to give honourable PF leader Micheal Chilufya Sata (Grade 2/6, unknown) one vice president position in the mighty UPND in an event that he disbands PF.
Coming to the best model for the UPND-PF PACT to choose its leadership to compete against the MMD in 2011 tripartite elections, I believe that both separate political parties have to hold their own conventions to elect the respective party (elected) leaders or not in the case of PF as they have been doing in the past.
Have a benign day.

Matthew 6: 33 + KJV Bible
How can Sata take advatange of people dying in hospitals and outside for unethical cheap political mileage. Honestly how does a grandfather aspiring for National Presidency lie about the death of his own grand child for selfish reasons. We all kanow that the current situation is very very bad, but to lie about death taking advantage of this situation is worse than a mad man at chainama. Those who believe that Sata’s lie is justifiablecan be categorised like I have categorised Sata.

Continuing on Coming to the best model for the UPND-PF PACT to choose its leadership to compete against the MMD in 2011 tripartite elections, I believe that both separate political parties have to hold their own conventions to elect the respective party (elected) leaders or not in the case of PF as they have been doing in the past. This leadership election must take place in early 2011, say January before the end at one Convention for each party maybe in Lusaka or Kabwe as these places are in about the centre of Zambia.
Then, primary elections must be held for all Zambian Parliament 150 constituencies where PF and UPND members will compete for MP positions in the coming National elections.

Continuing on Then, primary elections must be held for all Zambian Parliament 150 constituencies where PF and UPND members will compete for MP positions in the coming National elections. At these each 1 constituency of the 150 country constituencies primary elections, the new presidents of the respective parties (PF and UPND) will have to outline their party manifestoes in campaigning to the equal numbered cadres from both PF and UPND political parties who will have to be there to vote for MP candidates for the National elections and explain how they plan to develop Zambia so that the gathered cadres will vote for a presidential candidate as well as an MP candidate. This move will end tribalism and regionalism.

Sata using late grand-daughter for political mileage – political prostitute of the highest calibre!
Am I the only one who find Maestro’s postings self-indulgent?
33 continued.
Continuing on This move will end tribalism and regionalism. I propose this mode because president HH (MBA,UK) was quoted as saying that the UPND-PF PACT is not for HH or Sata (Grade 2/6), but for the people as a revolution.
Thus, at the end of the voting in the 150 constituencies of Zambia for MP and Presidential candidates, the results will be tallied and a presidential candidate will be known. This is the only fair way all grassroot people will have a say on who they want to be MP and presidential candidate for the UPND-PF PACT. This will entail that, if the PF’s then president is presidential candidate, then s/he will have to use the PF manifesto to develop Zambia and if it fails the UPND wont be affected.
Have a pgood day.

Matthew 6: 33 + KJV Bible
36 continued.
Continuing on This will entail that, if the PF’s then president is presidential candidate, then s/he will have to use the PF manifesto to develop Zambia and if it fails the UPND wont be affected. The same should be done should a UPND president be the presidential candidate for the PACT.
This is the only way people will have a chance to vote nicely in 2016 elections because they will know whether PF or UPND individually as a party failed to deliver or not.
At this junction, it is imperative that I write: president HH for UPND, UPND-PF PACT and Zambia president while Maestro Hakucincha for Independent MP somewhere near kwa-Hapiku.
Take careful care you all and have a pleasant day.

Maestro, I just have one comment to make about your pact and party in particular. It is a pity that Zambians’ attention span and memory is proportional to an ant’s brain if you consider oolitical issues. Was it not your president who castigated the current size of cabinet saying it was was too big hence his view to have a lean one? If that is settled, how can he explain 4 veeps’ appointment? I bet if the pact pulls through in 2011 we will have two ministers for each ministry, 4 deputies, 2 permanent secretaries just to balance on power. Now, that is how we catch liers like HH. But as I have already said, Zambians will not remember a thing about it at that time and it will be all laissez faire.
38 Dongo Na Sundu comment ca va and thanks for calling on me. On your “Was it not your president who castigated the current size of cabinet saying it was was too big hence his view to have a lean one? If that is settled, how can he explain 4 veeps’ appointment? President HH is not my party president for I am not a UPND member, but rather a UPND sympathiser – check my INDEPENDENCENESS in posting 37 above. As for the 4 veeps and a would-be blotted cabinet, check my posting 37 above also – which indicates that a winning party president will have to run his GRZ Administration.
Personally, I hope a UPND president will be UPND-PF preesidential candidate so that s/he can send Sata (Grade 2/6) in foreing service to earn a degree, say in Taiwan.
