Copperbelt minister Bowman Lusambo says the provincial administration has developed a three year development strategic plan highlighting government’s transformation development agenda and empowerment schemes.

Mr. Lusambo says the development strategic plan to run from 2017 to 2020 also highlights the ongoing economic diversification programme.

He says in an interview with ZNBC news that the plan will be launched this week.

The Copperbelt minister says all stakeholders and PF leadership will be part of the launch because all programmes will have to be implemented in line with the provisions of the party manifesto.

Mr. Lusambo says Copperbelt will never be the same as soon as the programme is rolled out as it’s multifaceted and all inclusive.

He is hopeful that part of the finances to be secured from the World Bank under the International development Association – IDA- eighteen programme will go towards youth empowerment on the Copperbelt so that the diversification programme into agriculture and other sectors is expedited.|

The minister further says he is happy that the road project and Ndola International airport works are progressing well.

Mr. Lusambo says government expects that youths, women and local contractors will be given an opportunity to participate in all development programmes as a means of empowering them.

  3. Another talking shop….. Bowman Lusambo enjoys attention… Let us give him the time to express himself….. I love watching him….. Keep talking …..that is your Job, Mr Minister….. My duties is to wait …..

  4. Place the whole plan unto the public domain and let the people critique it. Were there any public consultations before it was finalised, or is it top down?

Anyway, fair enough, now lets hear from the other provinces. What are their 3-year plans and how do these fit into the National Dev plans?
