Good interfaith effort for a church but where were all those Asian business people to help in the clean up of Lusaka during the cholera crisis?
Beauty is in the eyes of the ……
Zambian Asian business people who can not entrust a black man to manage their jobs as they are all thieves in their eyes only a donkey to work to dead!!
Monga che ma cader banzake ayamba pitamo…the guy can only be praised for keeping up with appearance but kulibe ve amachita…also about that kabila issue im sure you read botswana gvt criticized such stunts
There may be bad things that are said about Edgar Lungu but I love the way he interacts and mingles with common citizens at times. This is the way it should be.One interesting thing about this fund-raising walk is that there were who were not supposed to donate but actually donated upon seeing the Head of state.
That’s very true ,power corrupts some people to feel they’re better than common folks. But not Lungu.
What happened to Synagogue of All Nations?
Amazing how Nairobi and Harare look like modern metropolis but our Lusaka still has an aura of a stunted backward town.Do something Lungu ,even Kigali is making Lusaka look shameful.
Koswe mu church
Anything for a good cause is good to commend; i only condemn PF violence; oppression of the opposition; and corruption;
black people and church, awe sure!
No floods in Kamwala??? This has been the worst rainfall season!
More churches With project need to invite president to help them fund raise. Especially those in the rule areas, soon you find out that God can be used for political gain.
Because they won’t show up.
This gesture is noble at face value, but does not wash away the spectre of ineptitude, maladministration and corruption lurking in the background. The President needs spring cleaning of the negative issues in the way he conducts his politics to improve his damaged image as a leader.
I dont think he even has a clue of what that means
The lazy man Edgar is not even ashamed to be in Kamwala where the only thing a black man there can be is a slave worker …I was ashamed to do my shopping there where a black person is mainly a chola boy even after working with their Asian shop owners for more than 10 years they are not trusted with the till; when they shop owner goes for lunch or restocking he closes the shop and everyone stays outside until he comes back.
Its not a pleasant sight …the Zambian Asians even employ their old senile mothers and aunties to seat on the till whilst the black man is the runner who does the calculating and collecting of groceries in the store for customers. Surely how is that creating employment with such selfish mentality and you call yourselves Zambians.
THANKS VERY MUCH BA LT. I ASKED (BITTERLY, THOUGH) YOU TO START NUMBERING YOUR IMAGES FOR EASY REFERENCING. I NOTE THAT YOU TOOK MY SUGGESTION WHICH IS VERY GOOD. IT’S ONLY COMMON SENSE THAT IMAGES MUST BE NUMBERED. THANKS AGAIN.
Fact edger is naturally loved what ever you say that will still stands insult him or not the man is loved
Naturally Loved by you off course we cant ague that.
Haters will never change the narrative that the President is liked by the majority of the people and that he is on course changing Zambia!
The dull animalia kingdom chief spokesman.
Not to be cynical, but is Lungu going to support every fundraising event for other faith groups? I re-iterate the position I make all the time. There is no need to force show some superficial nexus between the State and church. In practice and reality, they don’t mix. The more a State meddles or ‘sides’, the more problems you have. All these activities should, in the main, be private. No need for a Ministry of Religion and Guidance, either. It’s a waste of valuable resources. It was unnecessary to have a clause in a legal document, that says Zambia is a christian country.
‘True religion’ is in good deed or practice and care for other humanity. In that, Zambia largely fails. It has over the years been turned into a nation essentially of pagans and selfish hypocrites.
By the way, to some bloggers above, people always tend to want to shake the hand of a walk-about President, if allowed. Nothing to do with love on either side. More to do with satisfying urges of egoistic populism on the one hand and the natural human tendency of curiosity from the recipients.
Hazava na Hachikonko!
Don’t even know where the fundraising walks came from the Bible. Jesus walked distances to preach and not to collect money and later on buy drinks and eat with Cesar
is it safe for a head of state to be that exposed? good movement and portray of trust in the general public…
