Chiluba’s Spokesperson urges Zambians to support RB

Share

Zambians have been urged to support President Rupiah Banda in his efforts to find solutions to the effects of the financial global crunch.

Second Republican President, Frederick Chiluba’s Spokesperson, Emmanuel Mwamba said this in Mazabuka when he featured on Mazabuka Community Radio’s LIVE WIRE PROGRAMME yesterday.

Mr. Mwamba said Zambians should give the President time to address economic issues confronting the nation and avoid being negative.

He said it is sad to note that since President Banda was elected into office, Zambians have not given him time to respond to the challenges facing the country except to frustrate him by negatively criticising his administration.

Mr. Mwamba said Zambians should count themselves luck to have a President with a degree in economics.[quote]

He said President Banda was among the first Africans to receive a degree in economics in the 1950s and can help revamp the economy once given the support.

Mr. Mwamba also said the support for President Banda by Dr Chiluba is purely on principle.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mwamba says Dr. Chiluba failed to attend the memorial service for the late President Levy Mwanawasa because he had travelled to Mazabuka to visit his sick sister who was admitted at Chikankata hospital in Mazabuka.

Mr. Mwamba said he personally represented Dr. Chiluba and adequately informed Republican President, Rupiah Banda and former First Lady, Maureen Mwanawasa whom he said accepted the apology.

The Spokesperson was forced to clarify Dr Chiluba’s absence following concerns raised by callers who accused the former President of having celebrated the death of the late President Levy Mwanawasa.

  1. Why should Chiluba now tell the Zambian people what to do? The best Chiluba can do is to shut up or lose the little respect that he has, if at all he has any.

  2. ba mwamba ikalenifye twapapata. Why shud we throw our support behind bwezani when things are not right in our country i.e court cases regarding chiluba’s aquittal?

  3. Has Emmanuel Mwamba already taken over the late Teta’s portifolio as Rupiah’s bootlicker? What time does he want Zambians to give Rupiah? Why not just shut up and concetrate on Kafupi? It seems all these scumbags waant to lecture Zambians, what a shame.

  4. Chiluba doesnt see anything wrong with RB;; but we can see alot of things wrong with him eg all croocks are back in gorvernment .. also money for development is being stollen just beneath his nose and he does nothing,, he calls good bad , and he calls bad good just imagine the pain we undergo as Zambians

  5. We do not need a leader with a degree in economics, we need a leader that can INCLUDE the vast wealth of knowledge and experience that we have as Zambians. We have Zambians that are on top of their field in almost every area you can think of eg economics, law, health, science etc but all are systematically excluded from contributing. Only party cadres and people that can shout the most have a say. As we sit here hungry and dying of curable diseases we have almost all the resources needed to solve our problems. One man or a single degree can not solve these problems, we need to come together as Zambians.

  6. Chi Mwamba chisushi. I am sure he has even gotten rich being Chiluba’s rotten mouthpiece. Will we ever have sons of Zambia who will stand and fight for the future of our country. I suggest all politicians should not be sworn using the bible but toilet paper.

  7. Shut tha …………….atleast when are you going to have guts and face the reality instead of the politricks you planning. We tired,we know which number you playing..

  8. We gave Chiluba time. Did he develop the nation? No! We gave LPM time. Did he develop the nation? No! With this precedence, why the hell should we give RB time? It is almost a year since he assumed office and we are yet to see the results. So, no time for you RB, get to work!

  9. What is this Mwamba thinking? Does he honestly believe that Zambians at this time in their lives are going to blindly follow RB? What did his client, Chiluba do for Zambia during his years of misrule? To date, RB has done absolutely nothing for the country, except travel the world on our dime. Please Mwamba, talk about something else.

  10. you don’t need to go out of your way justifying Chiluba’s absence at the memorial:

    1. its Levy’s family’s business not Chiluba’s, Chiluba did his part, he gave that guy a job, now chaps like Shaka can find a mouth to insult FTJ
    2. Chiluba is not the only person who was absent, I was too.
    3. it was time wasting….better go chilling with Regina than attend memorial for a chap who never appreciated you when he lived on earth…period!!!

  11. Emmanuel, just speak for Chiluba, period. As to whether we should support RB- just shut it. On that score, start prepare statements for when your boss is in Chimbokaila.

  12. Please let us talk about national issues. Leave this pensioner FTJ alone. He is probably the only pensioner with a pension in Zambia. We shall even build him a house when he has one. Let him surrender the other one( in Ndola) to the state.

  13. Actually it is what we xpect from FTJ, RB has saved him from all the shame that has been follwing him since. Its the triamph of the evils of corruption in zambia.

  14. Zambians are honourable citizens, why subject them to this sh***t. What do you basta**ds take Zambians for? *****s, You cannot tell Zambians what to do, you imbecile****s, FTJ and yous stink***ing spokesman.

  15. What support should Zambians give Rupiah. He has control of all that matters to make the country tick and he doesn’t listen to our concerns. He also says he is in charge and no one can tell him what to do. Is Mwamba aware of all this?

  16. It’s pure torture, equal to waterboarding or worse, listening to this Iturian bushman lecturing to tall upright (Burkinabe) people like us. Maybe the lord should have taken him first and them Teta could have followed today.

  17. I know we shall all die at some time, But I wish that for the good of my Zambia Mwamba and company must die quickly before this country becomes a circus.

  18. Foolish Mwamba,he is so blind that he thinks his Children are safe with RB in Government.Anyway, vipuwa nivambiri pa Zambia.

  19. why all of a sudden we hear chiluba’s spokeperson saying something to zambians on behalf of chiluba? My fellow Zambians, open your eyes and ears, soon chiluba will have a post in the Govt, watch the space. Its sad what is going on pa ZED.

  20. #4 You name remindz me of the nice bemba novelz, “Bamusho Lweko” by M.K. Chifwaila or iz it “Uwauma Nafyala” by Stephen A. Mpashi which had a Kwandagala charactor. Thoze boox available anywhere now?

  21. Ohhhh a degree in Economics .thats why they are calling for degree holders to contest presidency. We will fetch further only PHD holders like Clive Chirwa will be allowed to contest.Let your RB use his Economy degree to manage his Ziba Zako farm

  22. #11 splaka:a) Did Chiluba develop the nation during his rule? Probably not, but the structural adjustment which the Zambian economy badly needed for growth was carried out during his time. Much as I personally despise the Kafupi chap, I must give credit where it is due.

    b) Has RB developed the country during his time in office? Period is too short to tell, but certainly given the global economic crunch this economy could have been much worse for all of us living within Zambia. World Bank’s Kapil Kapoor thinks Zambia was not much affected like other African countries. That this was contained can only be attributed to the RB administration. Again give credit where it is due, otherwise you should have been eating masuku for dinner guys. Imagine life if we had elected Cobra!
