Interesting! MPs who were, not long ago boycotting the President’s national addresses today are wearing plastic smiles when shaking hands with him
Well, all is said and done, but more and more questions remain unanswered, there is need for regular press cons to attempt to answer these many questions Mr. President.
So dark in that Parliament.
Shocking enough, not even 1 single white person as MP.
I can’t see Edgar’s wife. Is report on SABC that their marriage is falling apart true, then?
These are coward of Opposition MPs who can not risk losing a months salary …they are in there to eat as well
@1.2 THAT WAS MY REACTION WHEN I SAW THE PICTURE. IT IS SO DARK AND THIS REFLECTS LACK OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS IN ZAMBIA.
Vonse nikukopela ati state of the nation address before it used to opening of parliament address manje kukopela America everything Lungu why sitinga kopeleko work ethics ya ku America?
Smiles on people’s faces…always good to see.UPND that’s the way to go…Zambia is ours
Let’s roll and move our nation forward. We only have one Zambia and It IS Greater Than Any Single One Of Us ~ B R Mumba, Sr.
Nothing to be excited about. This is a monologue and not a dialogue. MPs have no opportunity to quiz ECL on his address as it is done in South Africa.
That’s how run this country … just a few days ago, I mentioned that the main place for dialogue is parliament and only the people’s representatives should be involved.
Within a week we have dialogue in parliament and the President took time to individually meet with an elected MP from the opposition and the ruling party to dialogue.
The videos are there and so are the transcripts … send them the Gambari and his Commonwealth to show them we have dialogue our own way as a sovereign nation.
In fact make this a monthly theme and have MPs ready to ask the President any questions on any issue affecting the country … so, if you want dialogue with the President you have to be a representative of the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise.
Our Constitution is a winner take all and I am surprised the opposition has here recently been asking to amend it. Sata promised a people driven constitution and consultations took over 3 years.
Anything that needed to be addressed needed to be addressed then. Any changes needed to be made then and a referendum was to be voted on during last elections, the same opposition had a 3 year window to make changes and didn’t or did but did everything within their powers to block the referendum.
Today they want to cry foul and bring about constitutional changes. What kind of nonsense is that?
Where is Bonehead Mushota??? Have not heard from her in a while, maybe gone into hibernation!!!

HH might not be happy seeing ECL having light moments with his dogs.
surprise surprise they didnt walk out this time…and where is rabid mouth kambwili
No need for unnecessary antagonidm @Rizzo. Walk out for what? What they before was childish and unproductive. This how adults should even when they disagree on policy issues. It shouldn’t be taken too personally…..Zambia needs them all to behave and get things done for the people.
” ….with his dogs…”
You PF people must be very dull. There is a very good likelihood that you PF will start jumping from your boat after watching it capsize as you cheer on.These are not dogs baba first they are your fellow human beings, and please grow up
From the smiles, Cornelius Mweetwa will be the easiest to poach. Douglas Siyakalima, very uncompromising, they cant even try
Douglas Syakalima is actually very useless – not worth wasting time on.
The state of indebtedness ,the state of cholera and the state of national decay -that’s what Edwiga Wrungu is presiding over.
Lungu just photo shopping with the opposition nothing much to be excited about, its like his photographer is guided on what the subject wants depicted! I recall last time it was with “unlucky” Mukata the Chilanga UPND MP that Lungu chose to pose with a hand shake!
By the way I note too many close cropped hair cuts (bald heads) and not so smartly dressed law makers! All that tells a national story.
Mwiimbu is quite civil, maybe as a good lawyer, but look at that thing, chili monga chija cha ndembo ndembo, ati Gary Nkombo? Look at him trying very hard to look intelligent or even clever!
Cosmetic surgery, Oh sorry, cosmetic plastic smiles by UPND MPs in red shirts (arson and fire), Hanegativity Dept.
I have never seen such kind of adult lunacy. Look at those UPND scatter-heads clad in red ties and shirts. Total childish behavior defying natural order. And they call themselves parents and peoples’ representatives. Just wondering whom they were greeting since there is no president in Zambia and they get paid by the same government without a president. And they want to impeach a president who does not exist in their scattered brains.
Disaster!

@Rudemonk.. What are you ranting about? It’s politics, they greet each and chat in Parliament, they also argue, walkout or even physically exchange blows, but it’s the nitty gritty of what they stand for in reality that matters. The ideology and policies. All the shenanigans that happen in the meantime are part of the quest to get attention and make a case to claim power as rightfully theirs – opposition or ruling.
I agree with you!
why BLACK PEOPLE YOU ARE CRYING FOR LIGHT IN THE ROOM , DO U THINK U WILL BE LIGHTER ? BLACK BLACK BLACK ALWAYS BLACK JUST SMILE TO SHOW UR TEETH AS A SIGN THEIR IS A PERSON

It is good to see our MPs back in parliament. Am not sure I would wear a red shirt though to look like Julius Malema’s men but good sanity is slowly reigning in the land of Adolf and Fat Albert. This is fertile ground for dialogue time to set aside the last elections and set a framework guidelines and structure for the 2021 elections. For instance can we not have an independent vote tallying body that constitutes persons from the citizens but from all major parties? These should be a permanent body but only constitute when elections come. Could we also allow for campaign time ie from 6-18 hours as we do the polls after that everyone goes home? Lastly now that we are back in Parliament can we have answers on corruption?

There you have it … voila!!! ECL is living his dream and busking in his element. I love it when someone fully self-actualize. C’est la vie mon ami … vivre longtemps et prospérer ~ as the French would say!!!
