Opposition Patriotic Front (PF) in Solwezi district in Northwestern Province is saddened with the untimely death of Local Government and Housing Minister, Benny Tetamashimba.

This is contained in a press statement issued by Northwestern province PF political secretary, Friday Mulefwe in Solwezi today.

Mr. Mulefwe said the late Mr. Tetamashimba, who is also Solwezi Central Member of Parliament, would be missed for the radical decisions he made at Solwezi municipal council.

He said had it not been for the late Mr. Tetamashimba’s radical decisions, most of the projects could not have been undertaken in Solwezi.

Mr. Tetamashimba, 53, died after an illness at Lusaka’s University Teaching Hospital (UTH) on Saturday at around 19:30 hours.

Mr. Mulefwe has since conveyed his party’s heartfelt condolences to the ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) and Mr. Tetamashimba’s family.

  1. Please people, can we spare Teta. The man is dead. Let his family mourn in peace. I also never liked the guy but some comments are distasteful to say the least. The man commenting is in politics and he can’t be seen to be issuing negative statements about a dead man. It’s not in our culture to say bad things about a dead guy. What did you expect him to say? Can any of you go public with the comments you have been posting?

  2. MHSRIP.
I personally shudder to see people rejoice in the death of another. The Scripture says: “leave all judgement unto God”, so who are we to criticize the deceased?

  3. Teta made no effort to listen to listen to the inner still voice that God has given all his pipo. His conscious was completely seared with a hot iron and therefore complely unconscious and ultimately unconcerned about anyone except himself. He lived himself and himself alone.During the last presido by elctns he he even dared the easterners thus”if you dont vote for RB you will be beaten”….I HEAR HE EVEN PULLED BA MWATA’S LEGS TOO.And you want us to go into auto drive and start canonising such an ‘inchitatubi’.If he rises to soon I KNOW OF SOME FRIENDS WHO ARE READY TO STONE HIM TO DEATH ALL OVER AGAIN.

  4. The most sincere of all men. His sincerity was childlike and impulsive. Honest and non manipulative people had no cause to fear this man. To me he exemplified political innocence. Only his innocent words were stolen, sugarcoated and reexplained to suit thoughts of real political snakes. Perhaps humbly educated, patriotic nonetheless. A non calculating man that only loved to hear his own voice. Like all of us here.
    Goodbye cousin!
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PIECE

  5. Even on this pic , one can see that this man was a sick man… mwandu wa pakanwa kwati ni Shika… MYSRIP….

  6. who is going to miss him!! we are much better without him!!!! even my friend RB called me to say he is happy!!! so who is going to miss him?

  7. I came to know Teta back in 1975 we served together in national service as it were life was turf there well may his soul rest in peace

  8. Since we are all siners, I look forward to meeting Teta in hell where he is just now and tell him off on his misdeeds against the people of Zed.

  9. Hard working young man.you managed to control local govt projects.fruits were seen by us residents of solwezi and chingola.

    MYSRIP

  10. #16 Only God knows where Teta is headed (Hell or Heaven). As for you who is alive you have a chance to determine where you want to spend eternity. Therefore, confess your sins and recognise that Jesus Christ is and you shall be saved and thus avoid hell. It is that simple. Thereafter live according to His statutes as per His Word of truth, the Bible, and His guidance.

  11. I knew this man way back in Solwezi in 1994.!
May the good Lord Strength his bereaved family and friends.. Its sad to loss poeple at his tender age especially when the party wanted him most, his family wanted him most, his country wanted most to contribute to the development cause of our beloved Zambia…. We mourn with all those who are bereaved.! Bamwisho we will miss you…!!!

  12. They all rush to RSA to have their blood ‘purified’. A good lesson to learn from this death – IMPROVE LOCAL HEALTH FACILITIES!

  13. #13 . nshilimubemba is that your head or is it a borrowed one, last time you showed a picture I failed to identify if it was your body, or battocks. Now if you went to national service in 1975, does that picture match your age!

  14. To bad his gone…we wanted him to pay fro his sins after 2011…anyway its some how blessing his gone…only his children will miss him.

  15. I agree with #26 but without taking anything away from Teta he did his best for Solwezi Municipal Council in particular and Solwezi town in general. Farewell Hon teta.

  16. MHSRIP. Love him or hate him at least he had the courage to take on some political thugs such as that kaponya of an MP in Luanshya. Naturally, heartless people are happy at the passing on of anyone be it Teta or anybody else including their mothers. Sensible people should never mind such hopeless souls. Once again may Hon Teta’s Soul Rest in Peace.

  17. Imagine his family, people relax, there are far worse people that Teta, i will give you an example of one Shikap, who hates seeing MUVI TV in Livingstone. May Teta Rest in Peace

  18. Go my son and say hello to Levy and Mazoka, tell them we are ok, but RB is spoiling things, one just hopes this will teach him the lessons. one more thing, tell levy that the legacy has been manipulated and Chiluba is now free. please tell ba levy all these stories.the leagacy is under fire.

  19. Bwezzy,
you really think TETA will have the decency to say or do such a noble thing up there?
