Dancehall artiste Brian Bwembya alias B Flow has announced his decision to resign his position as Spokesman for the Zambia Association of Musicians.
BFlow who had held the position for just seven months said he faced several challenges in the execution of his duties.
He has since wished the current Executive led by Tivo Sikapwashya success as they carry out their duties.
“I wish to notify all ZAM members and stakeholders of the Zambian music industry that effective 27th December, 2018, I will no longer serve as Publicity Secretary for the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM). For now, I am unable to publish my resignation letter or share the reasons behind my resignation until the National Executive Committee (NEC) gives me a go-ahead,” he wrote.
“I handed in my official resignation letter to the ZAM General Secretary on the aforementioned date and copied in the ZAM Chairperson and the National Arts Council (NAC) Director. In my letter, I thanked the ZAM NEC for the support rendered to me during the time I have served as Publicity Secretary. I value the experience and knowledge I gained over the past 7 months. I also urged the team to feel free to let me know how I can help during the transition.”
He added, “I would like to thank all ZAM members for having accorded me the opportunity of serving as the association’s Spokesperson for the past 7 months. As some of you may be aware, I have been a member of ZAM for 10 years, and prior to being elected as Publicity Secretary, I served as Chairperson for ZAM’s HIV/AIDS and Social Commentary (HASC) committee. My decision to run for the position of Publicity Secretary in May 2018 was made after various calls from several members who wanted me to represent them by assuming a role in the association’s NEC.”
“However, this journey has been cut short by some specific challenges that I do not wish to discuss publicly. Despite the reasons behind my resignation, I still have faith in the current NEC’s potential to change the course of the Zambian music sector and therefore I wish the team success. I look forward to contributing to the growth of the association as an ordinary member and wish the NEC God’s guidance as they execute their duties.”
It is positive move especially that you are migrating. It will be difficult to serve from abroad. The only wise decision is to let ours serve.
Where is he going?
He’s going to be Obama’ chola boy.
Elyo tucite shani ifwe?
Better to be a chola boy than being stuck pa zed .Go bflow doors hv opened
Who is this nigger? Never heard of him or his music.
Wakolewa na Tobwa?
Good move B-Flow, the only intelligent musician together with Petersen. Its better to migrate and eat delicious feaces of Obama than the faeaces of tall meno meno. Afterall, we all know that Zambian pupu is more dense than American one. Thats why its easy to clean toilets in America than Zambian toilets. Its because of the food we eat and chibuku too much. Go well intelligent boy. Zambia is titanic except for meno meno
@Frakata
Zambia needs intelligent music. Lyrics that make your brain think. Are musicians doing this at present?
