National Action for Quality Education in Zambia has welcomed news that the government of Madagascar has requested to have about 500 Zambian Teachers to go and help with the teaching of English language in that Country.
Organisation Executive Director Aaron Chansa has thanked President Edgar Lungu for being the bearer of the great news and is hopeful that the Ministry of General Education will expedite this exportation process.
Mr. Chansa said his Organisation supports this exercise because Zambia has more than 40,000 teachers who are trained but unemployed.
“Currently, both the public and private sectors cannot accommodate this important human resource. Therefore, the Madagascar deal will create employment and allow these teachers to go and learn other teaching practices, values and work ethics in that country”, He said.
Mr. Chansa said the cross pollination of ideas between Madagascan teachers and Zambians will also help to improve Zambia’s education system.
“Already, we are receiving very good reports about the Zambian teachers currently exported to Seychelles. They are doing very well”, he added.
Mr. Chansa has since appealed to the Ministry of General Education to make the selection process to be very transparent where everyone will be given chance to compete.
He said his Organisation would love to see a situation where Zambian teachers are given good working conditions in Madagascar saying they need to be comfortable in that foreign land.
Mr. Chansa has further appealed to those who will finally be selected to go and work extra hard so that other Countries could ask for teachers from Zambia.
Go for the opportunity mate.Life is full of opportunities .Go wherever you want when conditions are good and if it is safe.It is not all about Europe or America but wherever you can easily.
They will go to mad hug ask her not as experts but as economic refugees, who can’t find work in their motherland.
Another goat to Saudi Arabia scandal. Don’t be excited until it happens. Are you sure by now you don’t know this government
The biggest scandal is that they are going to MAD because of lack of employment in our country, who would be proud of that,Botswana we sent experts, they had jobs and were resigning freely to go and start
a new life .
Good. Let’s also find market for the 39500 who will still remain.
Let those who missed out in the previous recruitment be the ones to be considered
Lol bad reporting, teachers exported kikiki…..
my worry is the selection procedure, just follow the line people.
ARE SCHOOLS LIKE KABULONGA, CANICIUS OR CHAMBOLI SEC STILL BENEFITING FROM GOVT GRANTS? If yes then this is a scandal needing To Be Seriously Looked into Mr Chansa And Fellow CSOs. These Schools are rich frm charging exorbitant user fees and shud certainly be made to forego the peanuts U call grants for much poorer rural schools
Allez voir ailleurs….
are they looking for English teachers only or what?
