  1. I think the child was confused. She must have sworn Father Xmas was white and not dark black like super Ken! Thats the difference between KK and FTJ. If FTJ were father Xmas, the gifts and the Father Xmas suit would vanish in thin air!!! Taba lazy FTJ.

  2. Pic #3, Awe sure. Difficult to tell whether the men are wearing the jackets or the jackets are wearing the men!! Ba Warder bena, tesana! Akalufumo. Nowonder the prisoners are starving> All the food ends up in his house. Ba Minister ba Banda, that must be his favourite suit pantu of late, its always the same one at funerals, parties, ku church, weddings and now Prison visitations!

  3. Ba Moze tamumfwa lol. but you are right, Hefty Jay could have run away with the gift and probably eloped with the girl’s mum too!

  4. T. Stevens, Eya mukwayi mama! Ma picture chabe. LT atingenela ku eastern. We will be accussed of being tribal manje, ka.
Vimbuza va these days. Even using modern instruments. Next thing they will be playing guitars for Vimbuza and piano for makishi!

  5. Pictures not so interesting except pic5 that seems to remind us of the colonial days, ukupokala ifyakulya pa window nangu ma orphan surely thats demeaning! Ba Moze mwansekesha pali FTJ na Kaunda

  6. Bra P, lol!! You dont mess with FTJ. And especially that the event was at Spar, Arcades, were you find beautiful women! Nga taitambile bwino Regina! He would have forgotten the kids and started dishing gifts to the ladies. Elo at random nayo. No order! Mawe!

  7. Ba Solowezi you are right! There should be accountability even in the manner food is distributed. I mean, why pa window? We cant see what is happening to the real food mukati. At the end of the function, you see a chef coming out of the kitchen sweating and looking like the fat warder mu picture. Chibi buti!

  8. Pic #8, LT you need to be specific as to who the guest of honour is in that picture pantu abafwele ama jackets bengi sana. However if the Guest of honour is the tall one without the tie, then awe, we have a problem. Pantu he’s looking like a pick pocket! Ba fwaka sana balya. Babikamo na t-shirt ya yellow!! Yangu.

  9. it breaks my heart that for the kids at the orphanage, that meal of nsima, beef and veggies is what is considered a xmas meal. what do they normally eat? that should be on their menu at least once or twice a week!

  10. Great pics. KK as Santa Claus is a lie to my…and the brain also refuses to acknowledge it. Anyhow, for the sake of peace & love in the festive season, I will withhold my own personal critique of western Christmas rituals.

  11. This Isaac Banda looks like a poor Village Primary School Teacher who earns less than K2m, so he can’t afford better suits. The suit, the shoes, iyo ni ku Chipata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Just a toy drink and chicken and Nshima makes a difference puts a smile on the faces of those sweet angels!!!If we can help by donating to such orphanage and make xmas everday for them.. next time LT you can help by finding a way how to donate…God Bless You NYAMPHANDE ORPHANAGE for making a day when you make them 4get about their daily struggle!!!
And Musa # 27– no offence the big picture is food,, and look at the smile on their faces..Lets help such organisation…other than just critics

  13. Merry Christmas to you all and a blessed new year. As a Christian grownup now I realize that this day is simply had to explain. My belief is that we should celebrate Christ everyday; because he died for our sins and reserrected for us to live conitinously on sinslessly or work onwards to that perfection. Why did president Kaunda not dress as a prophet or John the Baptists father from the Bible. That would represent Christmas better just my addition. That orphanage looks pretty decent; my lovely eastern province one of my nine homes in Zambia. But suit ba minister even if kwenze economic crisis last year yachilamo mwe.

  14. Ba Moze mwantekunya.. ati vimbuza with modern instruments.. the worst will be Nyau( gule wamkulu) with modern instruments..

Pic #11 makes my heart sad.. these kids have no shoes at all when other people are throwing theirs in recycling bins.. sometimes life is not fair at all. That meal with Nsima and nyama is one in a 365 days lotto. honestly L.T can donate something.
Ba police Inspector Nguni too much viwaya..

  15. Pic 11 – There is no mpasa in Nyampande for the children to sit on for their meal instead of the long grass?

Communities should strive to help extended family take care of orphaned children instead of institutionalizing the children. This kind of upbringing renders a negative psychological impact

  16. There is only one child in #1. There no way she can be called children. Sorry LT just being pedantic. Twaikalisha ku bangeleshi! lol!

  17. # 33 “Magicroundabout’ the caption describes what KK was doing sitting in that Santa Chair, the picture does not need to capture every child that was waiting or had just been to see KK. if you care you can easily see pict 12 has more than one child

  18. Nice Pics LT.
I guess Nguni’s body size could serve as an inspiration to other officers. People say when you are big ati akudya bwino. if you are a bwana with kaSmall body ati bali nakaliwonde wonde. We want kudya bwino.

  19. Mr Nguni should be put on diet or be retired on medical grounds(i.e obesity). The same applies to the prison warder as well. In fact he should be seriously investigated. He could be be of those who divert food meant for the prisoners to their homes.

  20. Dont want to criticise bamudala ba KK, but would it not have been more prudent for him to distribute presents to the kids ba muma komboni as opposed to those ba pamwamba as they are the ones most likely to be patronising Arcades?

  21. Pic # 5 and # 11 ….Very moving indeed..! ..Let’s hope Hon KK aka Santa Claus is also extending goodwill to less fortunate children such as these.

  22. Kaunda likes x-mas…remember he was arrest on x-mas day by Chiluba ..Now is the time to enjoy. But the question is why not go and see as Santa kaunda the children in George Leigh,Kanyama, Garden compounds etc…Those are ther kids who need Santa more!

  23. #36 Ichikolowa. I know you are one of the mods but english will always be english. You do not need pictures to qualify what you are saying sorry. It`s reason the english have to learn english just like we used to learn bemba back home. There will never be anythinn like I meant this just look at the picture. Happy christmas Mr Mod! Ta ta!

  24. #36. Quote: Above, Dr Kaunda interacts with children at the superstore. Even a dim person would know there is something wrong with above Dr. Kaunda interacts with children at the superstore. By the way I said I was being pedantic I guess you will probably not see I have made more corrections!

  25. #36 You`ve posted again in # ? just to prove a point. You have in the post on #? made mistakes on what the British say on purpose! You mug! You are a WUM! Got to go now. Enjoy reading my e-mails.

  26. picture #10- kwaliba icinyau nacifwala bwino? ok tacifwele bwino but is a bit smart than the originals.they are diluting traditional vimbuzas/ifi nyau.Ici na baice teteti batine lol.

  27. Strange to see KK celebrating SATURNALIA or christmas as you xtians call it today. This is just foolishness you attribute toi the son of man who never even knew what the hell christmas was and preached against such

  28. pic # 3 Uyu Eastern province minister Banda alemoneka like is a villager too much. Look at the suit just like RB. Some body should show him how to buy nice looking suits.

  29. Greenwell Ng’uni was strategically brought to Lusaka Province by former IG Mateyo to maintain a “Ng’uni” presence in Lusaka after the loss of the highly effective Wasakaza Ng’uni. How is he doing, by the way, folks back home?

  30. KK is the father of the nation. Good seeing him as father Christmas & giving cheers to the kids. KK know Christ better as your personal Saviour & Lord. god bless you & give you more yrs to serve your fellow man and woman. One Zambia One Nation.

  31. # 23 You have said it loud and clear i wont re say it. Anyways my son would disagree with pic # 1. Pic number 5 tesana kwati ni mu colonial.Ba Nguni can he chase a thief? no he is over weight.
    # 47 you are mixing things vimbuza is practiced by the tumbukas. nyau is practiced by the chewas Nyau is not supposed to be identified hence their out fit. Vimbuza is a tumbuka tradition and you have to be identified. Its more cleaner than nyau and does not scare people or children.

  32. Pic # 4 reminds me of that gallant police officer Wasakaza Nguni. The man had really put thugs on their toes. For some time people drove around and sleep in Lusaka with some peace. Whaever happened to the inquiry into his mysterious death.
Comrade Kaunda well done. May God bless those taking care of the kids at Nyamphande orphanage definately not the best of facilities but better than none and a life on the streets.

  33. # 57 tell me the story. I only knew about the man from the time he was at Lilayi paramiltary school until Lusaka division Commanding Officer. Whats the true History??

  34. Pic # 5/11 Ohhh my God what happened to the parents of all these beautiful kids and what happens to them when they become youths? Are they still taken care of or they will end up under some bridge? God bless them and the people that are looking after them

  35. L.T the sight of the poor kids eating on the grass has moved by heart, I wish there was a way I could donate something, you could probably open an account and appeal for donations using the blog and I am sure there are a lot of us willing to give something. The problem ku ZED is bu crook bwalipitilila where people even swindle the powerless.
