it breaks my heart that for the kids at the orphanage, that meal of nsima, beef and veggies is what is considered a xmas meal. what do they normally eat? that should be on their menu at least once or twice a week!
Great pics. KK as Santa Claus is a lie to my…and the brain also refuses to acknowledge it. Anyhow, for the sake of peace & love in the festive season, I will withhold my own personal critique of western Christmas rituals.
This Isaac Banda looks like a poor Village Primary School Teacher who earns less than K2m, so he can’t afford better suits. The suit, the shoes, iyo ni ku Chipata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to you all and a blessed new year. As a Christian grownup now I realize that this day is simply had to explain. My belief is that we should celebrate Christ everyday; because he died for our sins and reserrected for us to live conitinously on sinslessly or work onwards to that perfection. Why did president Kaunda not dress as a prophet or John the Baptists father from the Bible. That would represent Christmas better just my addition. That orphanage looks pretty decent; my lovely eastern province one of my nine homes in Zambia. But suit ba minister even if kwenze economic crisis last year yachilamo mwe.

Pic #11 makes my heart sad.. these kids have no shoes at all when other people are throwing theirs in recycling bins.. sometimes life is not fair at all. That meal with Nsima and nyama is one in a 365 days lotto. honestly L.T can donate something.

I guess Nguni’s body size could serve as an inspiration to other officers. People say when you are big ati akudya bwino. if you are a bwana with kaSmall body ati bali nakaliwonde wonde. We want kudya bwino.
Mr Nguni should be put on diet or be retired on medical grounds(i.e obesity). The same applies to the prison warder as well. In fact he should be seriously investigated. He could be be of those who divert food meant for the prisoners to their homes.

# 47 you are mixing things vimbuza is practiced by the tumbukas. nyau is practiced by the chewas Nyau is not supposed to be identified hence their out fit. Vimbuza is a tumbuka tradition and you have to be identified. Its more cleaner than nyau and does not scare people or children.
Pic # 4 reminds me of that gallant police officer Wasakaza Nguni. The man had really put thugs on their toes. For some time people drove around and sleep in Lusaka with some peace. Whaever happened to the inquiry into his mysterious death.
