SUSPECTED PF Youths in Kafue yesterday morning locked Kafue Civic Centre in a bid to prevent new Kafue Town Council Secretary Isaac Mwiche Mudala from reporting for work yesterday.
A Kafue Times News which rushed to Kafue Civic Centre around 06:30hours found a handful group of suspected PF youths mobilising themselves to execute the early morning assignment.
The Youths who sung soliderity songs for former Council Secretary Aaron Kamalondo, denounced Local Government Service Commission Chairman Amos Musonda whom the accused of transferring Kamalonda because of vested interests.
The youths who seemed more organized, upon arriving at the Civic centre ordered Council Police Officers who were manning the building to immediately lock the entrance of the Civic centre and leave.
Several efforts by a few council police officers to challenge the youths failed as they were overpowered by the PF cadres.
The PF youths vowed not allow new Kafue Town Council Secretary Isaac Mwiche Mudala to enter the Civic centre building.
“We feel the transfer of Mr Kamalondo from Kafue Town Council was untimely because it came at a time he had started developing Kafue.” the PF youths said
Quick response from Anti Riot Police Officers brought the protest to a sudden end.
District Administrative Officer Josephine Phiri later met the youths in the District Conference Room where the youths aired their concerns.
Calm has since been restored at the Civic but the youths have vowed to continue with their protest until Kamalondo is brought back to Kafue Town Council.
Is there no one to put to sleep these insects, we cant wake up in the morning to hear crap, no sensible news in zambia
Infest in bees and lighting
The country is being run by cadres. Lawlessness.
Where are those Sesheke police when you need them?
The PF truly have no class.
I have never seen anything like them before. I doubt I ever will.
That is pf for chambia. its a rude party
Use FORCE KILL on some insects, trust me all of these troubling insects whether they are GREEN or RED, they will disappear without trace.
I like Dickson Jere’s write up about a meeting in the RB era where army commander asked police IG this question. “Have you failed to contain political violence perpetrated by cadres, yes or no?” I think its high time we engaged the army.
This is as a result of firing officers for doing their job. The PF cadres now know that they are above the law. Every action has a reaction.
Sad thing is even in churches people are resisting the transfer of priests. Civil servants and priests have no say in when or where they are being transferred. Please whoever is in charge of these hooligans educate them on operations of government. In fact when one does well in one town it’s important to transfer them so that they can also develop those areas which are lagging behind. I’m sure Mr Mudala is from Ndola…he’s a capable young man. Just give him a chance.
I support the transfer of the man. Council Secretary is a public office and the man can work from anywhere. Its good riddance.
If it was in Sesheke we would send bees to these rascals. They’d all be mourning in pain on their hospital beds
Can someone tell me the authority these cadres have?please lets put an end to this foolishness because one day it will cost us heavily, yesterday officers retired because of beating cadres today offices locked by cadres please educate them that they belong to a party and have no hand in the governance of the nation.we know you are not bothered because they are your people but what will happen tomorrow when you are out of power?the same thing will happen to you aswel,so lets do the right thing when in power so as not to cry foul tomorrow.
It doesn’t mean any illegal protest is done by cadres. Even ordinary citizen can mobilize themselves and protests.
Is this how far we have fallen REALLY?
WASTED LUNGU YEARS…why do they want Aaron Kamalondo back….there must be corruption in there somewhere …this is where the country is going under these lazy thieves.
Total lawlessness but not even one law breaker arrested. But let Laura miti and others peacefully demonstrate over fire tenders then they will be arrested, charged & even taken to court only to be aquitted thereby wasting taxpayers money.
