  1. I know this girl big time.Maiwe!! Fast money imangisa!! Do we have rehabs for drugs in Zambia?Looks like this business is thriving.

  2. if she was in india ..you all know crusification..but they should forgive her…and give her another change..like the bible says

  3. University girls…..uko UNZA moma!! why is that Zambian female students at higher learning intitutions are too much involved in such acts. last time, some students from unza and Evelyn hone college were arrested for PORN production. imagine people ati muntu kugona na imbwa zo-ona. and now a female student at UNZA was arrested for cocaine trafficking. if its ABORTION at UNZA and EVELYNE HONE don’t even mension it and yet these are the future leaders doing this…………KUPUSA ALA!!! bwana at Kabwata police and officer at DEC help me its too much azajaila!!

  4. I don’t get it. Maybe my fellow bloggers can help me on this one. In Zambia, do they distinguish between trafficking and possession?

  5. Short cuts to make big cash always have consequencies..what a shame at least if it was a street vendor but a fouth year UNZA student what a shame

  6. Short cuts always have consequencies…If it was a street vendor no one would be surprised but a Univeristy fouth year student oo what a SHAME and a lady.

  7. Unless they were doing that to pay for their education otherwise if they were on busaries then it surely has gone to waste.

  8. #6 – She was nabbed as she tried to sell the drugs to someone at Down Town Mall. That’s trafficking! Despite this, I still think our university and college girls are a relatively decency lot. I live outside Zed (but in Africa) and where I am it is acceptable for university girls to resort to prostitution as a fee paying option. Zed still a long way from the madness here!

  9. What a shame…this UNZA student is sending a wrong msg to young kids.Kids always respect those that are at high institutions but if they are not capable of good morals then I wonder where we are heading to…..

  10. sebana uikute…shes lucky shes really not here in india…this would not have been news..she would simply have disappeared…

  11. Moderator. I feel for you not to understand. can you read the Act that governs psychotropic substances in Zambia for you to understand. The difference is in the quantity. It becomes trafficking if you have a larger quantity. Its possession if you have lower than certain gramm.s But the gramms for possession are so low that once found with drugs, its lalmost always possession. Dont just burst and show as if we do not think in Zambia. Read yours laws before yo say anything from without embarrass yourself. Visit parliament website, its free of charge. You can download any Act there.

  13. the distinction between trafficking and possession is that any quantity above 0.5 grams amount to trafficking and any quantity below that quantity amounts to possession. D.E.C is doing a great job, especially this nyawali. he is informing the nation accurately, why cant RB inscript this guy to help improve his falling image. he will definetly deliver the way he has done it at D.E.C

  14. Moderator, ignore comment number 14. m,ay have been harsh. Didnt consider it an innocent plea at first. Thanks and sorry

  15. Moderator, ignore comment number 14. may have been harsh. Didnt consider it an innocent plea at first. Thanks and sorry

  16. There is producing, trafficking, distribution, possession, importing, exporting of cocaine, wasn’t she caught distributing? Enlighten us!

  17. Reghardless of the reaso a Njobvu Kazi, she has to be condemned. Are we going to manage to judge people after knowing why they committed the crime. If I defiled your daughter for example, would you say dont judge him coz we do not know the reasons. No. What is wrong is wrong. We cant justify a wrong. She knew the law before committing the crime. Let her be punished for that. In law we punish for the intent. She in short has a criminal mind together with her colleagues.

  18. The sad thing is we don’t have rehabs ku Zed. From what I hear, Chainama are chasing drug users, ati kuno kwa mashilu not aba fyamba…. such serious drugs break up families and the likes!!!

  19. so so sad..another wasted youth.pipo pliz tell me were does this cocaine come from?how does it find itself pa Zed?do we have illegal opium farms and labs pa Zed?how does it filter thru airpots, borders?
from the little I know ,cocaine comes from India,Afganstan,Colombia and other countries.Bwana John Nyawali u have alot to do….close the taps first and the water will stop leaking.

  20. Moderator. Nizoona. chewela na manzi. Thanks for understanding.
Ovee you are right. They are chased at times for their safety they say. For example, if you slept, those that are mad have the potential to kill you. Maybe, we need more such places so that services are individualised. However, the case we have here is not for a drug addict but for a drug trafficker. So she does not need rehab. Probably, she does use the drugs herself.

  21. Daniel Banda… defiling my daughter is different from selling drugs. If u do that to my daughter God will have to forgive me coz I wouldn’t even waste time reporting u to the police I would cut them myself and make sure that u suffer physically before I kill you.Back to this student the reason why she shouldn’t be judged is becoz those pipo that buy drugs from her have a choice to buy or refuse. Maybe she was raising money to pay for her last year coz many scholarships are given to those that know someone in the govt/system. Let her be punished but she should be permitted to complete school and do community service no jail sentence. Having said that I still stand by my comments that she should be judged…If she comes from a rich family then let her be punished and sent to jail

  22. I understand that. Even defilement, there is a choice becuas edefilement does not mean forceful penetration. However, diverting to our issue of discussion, the end does not justify the means. No matter how good the reason is or was for committing the crime, we can not stand here to start justifying. The claim for sponsorship can not be used as an excuse for committing crimes. I have studied at UNZA and was there for about 8 years for two different levels of programmes of course. No one should cheat you that she was paying school fees. Some of these momas or bungwes you see just want an extravagant life. A car, every night at Times Cafe, Arcades or Mandahill, or Chaminuka lodge. thats the reason. There is no justification for any crime whatsoever. rehabilitation can be an option

  23. what Zed needs is a rehab centre, we cant bury our heads in the sand and pretend this is not a problem we have addicts [Of hard drugs] in our midst and they disperately need our help. Ministry of Healthy look into it!

  24. On defilement there is no choice as the child is too young and men force themselves hence on this one dont defend the offenders. Re..student, that was just my option and the same law that u are quoting from also states that one is innocent until……..
I know that she has to pay for her deeds no justification, whatever u have written is correct she should pay for for sins. But on Child defilement u are 100% wrong and pls dont keep explaining coz you are annoying me…..

  25. #5 Mo taim wansekeshya! Ati ngalibange…

Anyways, whats wrong with these gelos imwe shuwa, eh? Instead of concentrating on her Development studies, she’s busy promoting Drug Culture in Zambia?? Is she schizophrenic????

I wish LT would show a pic of her when she was arrested like the US newspapers do – to expose them and shame them!

  26. Yes of course I blame it on RB because there are no simple jobs available in the countriy which students can do to earn some pocket money. When industries mashroom, students can get some nignt jobs. Now the only industry mashrooming is construction becaues the only investment ministers know is owning a house, not manucturuing. No wonder we will always impot and import and import. I totally blame this on Bwezani.

  27. Its competition nothing else, especially students from well to do families they compete for everything except class marks, looks, cars, dressing….. I feel sorry for ka gelo aka.

  28. ala university life ni shipikisha otherwise you end up doing things like this and sleeping with suger dadys olo yakumbuyo. Too much peer presure!!!
