The Forum for Progressive Parties (FPP) has condemned the print media for publishing people especially women who are allegedly half naked .
FPP Secretary General (SG) Charles Kafumbo says the publishing of such pictures in the newspapers should be condemned by all concerned Zambians.
Mr. Kafumbo told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that it is high time that print media desist from publishing nude pictures in their newspapers.
He said it is immoral to publish pictures of women who are half naked adding that it corrupts the mind of people especially the children.
Mr. Kafumbo’s sentiments comes in the wake of publication of half naked women published in one of the tabloids and daily newspapers.
The Forum SG has since taken a swipe at Women Civil Organizations in the country over their silence to comment on half naked women.
He said the Forum would now start championing for the rights of women because the publishing of half naked women in the newspapers is tantamount to pornography.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kafumbo has advised women in the country to dress properly when they go out to functions because they should not blame the media if the find themselves in those circumstances.
He said indecent dressing especially among the women folk is against the values of the declaration of Zambia, a Christian nation.
ZANIS
Excuse me….but way back before the coming of the Europeans our ancestors used to move around almost naked. I don’t see any fuss here about us going back to our roots. it has been part of our culture.

Charles Kafumbo dont bury your head in the sand. these pictures are not fabricated, they are happening. We need to expose them so that we can do something about it. Many parents dont know what is going on with their children when they go out for parties etc. At least now they can see and have an opportunity to act. Lets stop pretending that these things are not happening, well done post and LT for exposing these ladies
Yaba Brother Charlie you are right but off side. These things happen in most night clubs to the joint owners that is big business. That is why they state no UNDER 18 ALLOWED. Those places are for full adults. Let us not pretend that is serious business for those who can afford.
@ no 3: yes, that is why it states no under 18 allowed so keep it in the night clubs… why bring it out where children under 18 read newspapers… or should they start censoring newspapers and putting the age restriction there
# 1 time has changed, we cannot continue dressing like we are still in the 1st century. As much as our ancestors moved almost naked, we have to cover ourselves because we are no longer in the 1st century where there was lack of clothes i.e only animal skin was used as clothes…
I don’t think the post did anything wrong to publish that photo of a woman in a black dress without an under wear. Honestly as a sane person, you need to wear an underwear be it at night parting or during the day.Women should always try to dress well so that they do not attract attention. We understand that for some women its part of business to dress without an underwear but its high time they starting putting on one or else they will find themselves in the papers.
# 4 are you saying that its okay to have brothels in Zambia as long as we are not exposing them? # 2 is right, burying our head in the sand wont help. the newspapers are one way of exposing the rot. Besides how many under 18 s read the post any way? some of these things its all about collateral damage, thats when things happen.
“one of the tabloids” Why cant they just name The Post? Is it a crime? We know its The Post so just mention it. “one of the tabloids my foot”
Meanwhile, Mr. Kafumbo has advised women in the country to dress properly when they go out to functions because they should not blame the media if the find themselves in those circumstances.
Therein lies the answer Mr. Kafumbo. If the clothes are OK to wear in public they are OK to publish in the media. Period.
i think in Zambia we have a problem with the word nude / pornography. none of the pictures shown by the post showed nudity. an exposed thigh is not nudity/ pornography. an exposed G string is by no means nudity/ pornography. Sir can you tell me how you are going to champion the rights of women if they are the ones exposing themselves.
Ba Njobvu Kazi naimwe, never heard of a G string? Kamene kamapita pakati pama..tako. Not Land Rover 😮 Most likely that is what she was wearing.
Talking about our ancestors, I feel it’s important for us to uphold our heritage. Yes, times have changed but there are things we can still proudly carry on to this day. And we would be an envy to the rest of the world. Who introduced us to the bible?…..The same people who put us in chains and shipped us overseas, Who introduced us to wearing suits, ties, long dresses and all that? The same people telling us now how s.e.x.y. we would look if we dressed less. Ifyakukonkelesha china mpofu tefyo.[-(
You can’t turn a blind eye to whats happeneing in the society. I don’t know why FPP is complaining about exposed thighs when the easterns expose their boobs in their Traditional ceremonies which are televised on ZNBC.
Can somebody take that man to a strip club,am sure he just lucks exposure.Thats the problem of giving coverage to villagers%-(%-(%-(%-(%-(
The Bemba’s say UBUKWEBO BUSHIMONEKA TABUSHITIKWA
Az long az the so called half-naked women/men do that in public placez, there iz no stopping the tabloid. Maybe the exposure will act az a deterent to would be half-dressed pozerz and make them mindful of the public. They are free to poze in any way within the confinez of their homez, but not in public places.
Meanwhile,Mr Kafumbo has advised women in the country to dress properly……This is what Kafumbo
should advocate for.Kafumbo must reason why women civil organisation are mute they didnot react to that bcoz they know that it’s wrong for women to expose there shamefulness.Time and again people have been reminded to stop attacking the media but they fail to understand this simple statement. The role of the media is to excite, entertain and inform the public. So pliz leave the media ALONE.
i can bet this charles guy has a serious colletion of porn and he wants to come out holier than thou. if you live in a glass house dont throw stones
Some girls in Chilanga lied to their parents that they had gone for overnight prayers just to appear in the same tabloid doing some crazy seductive dance at a night club. How embarrassed their parents were especially that they were quiet prominent and well respected in the neighbourhood…..
you pipo you love the word pornography? na pashilingile ni pornography
Women are mostly the ones who expose their bodies. Why is it like that? Do you think you have better bodies than us men? Compare Tshala mwana & Kanda Bongo man?
On “Mr. Kafumbo’s sentiments comes in the wake of publication of half naked women published in one of the tabloids and daily newspapers“, I would have loved a situation where the brother mentioned the names of the newspapers for I saw terrible pictures in the weekend part of the Zambia Daily Mail some few days ago. Let us act on the revelation that the POST is exposing instead of rushing to condemning.
This issue is serious business which needs to be thoroughly debated and then those publishing the pictures including the women who do not dress well can be admonished to behave in a proper manner.
Have a blessed day all.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
Come on guys this is food for eyes…:d
what about L.T this week posting images of sexual acts.
The caressing of a breast is a sexual act photographed and placed in photos of the week at L.T.
Shit just got real! ” people are more willing to pay for NASTY things than GOOD things”!
This is not right women should stop this vice , no one will marry you if you dressed like you were once ruled by the might SHAKA
Does he want Zambian women to dress like Afghani women in burqas? I agree with number 1, we should not be ashamed of our bodies as it is Europeans who brought this issue of shame and embarrasment which they are actually shaking off nowadays.Just because Zambia is a Christian nation does not mean that everybody in the country is a Christian and should therefore be allowed to dress how they want.
This Kafumbo is heavily contradicting himself. 1st he condemns the print media for the pictures then he condemns the ladies for providing the conditions for taking of the same pictures.
The Print media is a mirror of our society. They reflect what is happening. If the ladies stop undressing & wearing scanty dresses the pictures will disappear. There parents im very sure are not hapi to see them behave like that.In Zambia there is no such thing as women being too independent when they are coming from parents homes. Most of them snaped stay with parents hence the parents need to know whats going on. I support publishing though it has to be extended to men that urinate in public and doing foolish things as well. A lady is custodian of tradition let them uphold tradition with values.
i saw the pictures and they where interesting. The tabloids of these pics where in Post and Daily mail. In my view, its the women’s foolishness to reach to the extent of that. Most parents are ignorant of things that there kids do and so thats the result. its always women. Shame…….
What did the elephant say to the naked man?
How do you breathe through that thing?=))=))
the problem is with the women! why do they dress that way! men will always look and reporters will bring the views closer for us. it is the law that should change. any men who find a woman dressed like she has just been created by god, should be allowed to gangbang her and also any guys walking by can join in so long as they do not over do the doing.
What you do in the dark shall be brought into the light by photographers. The problem is not the women or the cameramen, it’s the pretentious zambian culture of having some morals on the surface and yet being morally bankrupt underneath. The same women scantifully clad in revealing outfits that dance provocatively in clubs giving men blue balls are the same ones you find in churches singing the loudest and proclaiming they have been saved.
Don’t condemn the print media. condemn the young ladies who are exposing themselves with their boobs or their G strings etc. without the print media we would have not known the dark side that is going on in our neighborhood. the women lobby should educate their fellow women and not the media
slum dog numba 30, i thot you would be dead by now? how long does it take for someone to die by strangling themselves?
walai I am the one doing the choking
Imwe bantu why didnt you tell me there such pics pa post? I have just checked out zebra night out yaba ok iliko bad! You can even begin to see the blackness of the inside thigh as you head towards the ntweno…he he he am loving it! This guy must just keep quiet ma pic yanveka che bwino, just hide the post nespaper when you get home so that the kids dont feast their eyes.
Plus i need to visit this hollywood joint
It’s unfair to condemn the media instead of the people who expose their nakedness to the public. The media is there to show us what is going on in our so called Christian country. To criticise the Media and the photographer is to deny yourself the right to know the truth or to live in denial. Let the media show us what ever they show and they, let us respond with praxis and constructive criticism.
# 22 he said print media. LT is not print media
Meanwhile, Mr. Kafumbo has advised women in the country to dress properly when they go out to functions because they should not blame the media if the find themselves in those circumstances.
The above concludes the issue, the poorly dress unreasonable girls and women have themselves to blame. Two wrgs never make a right though, editors must wash the thinking.

We need more of such pictures. Please Post just publish.
Why bother? Don’t just look! Dogs do it and birds do it…why worry—if you don’t need to worry. It’s like you meet this Lusaka mad man who walks naked on Freedom way, has anyone bothered to clothe him? What makes you think these girls are normal if they do what everyone seems to think is abnormal? Look at them in that context and you’ll be just fine.
Mr. Kafumbo has advised women in the country to dress properly when they go out to functions because they should not blame the media if the find themselves in those circumstances.
This guy does not know what is talking about, that is why the print media or the Post are showing us those naked women so that we should find the best solution to help them dress properly
Its no big deal. If you don’t like s’thing it don’t mean everybody don’t like it
Who is wrong? The woman who chooses to dress indecently in public or the photographer who uses his camera in public? And it seems the women enjoy being photographed like that! If all Women respected their dignity and dressed up decently, we would not be talking about this issue today. Why do we not see the same pictures, but of men in underwear singing and dancing in night clubs?
I think the questions should be: whats is pornography? what is indecent dressing? where do you draw the line?….and does it means that “bad” things should not be reported? or maybe we should ban the dressing and selling of mini skirts and force all our women to dress chitengez?…wow:o
“old daddy” should be banned from exposing the ugly fat swollen belly in public!!!
…. finder. c o m …..next they will start arresting zedians who has profiles on dating & porno sites, with nude pics:o
Here in south Africa, its very normal.Mini skirts are a routine and no one complains because its not serious issue. Its high time zambians accepted the winds of change.Common guys do not just create imaginations in your head whenever you see a thigh, just a thigh..hahaha.
