Sata and the Church in Chiluba’s Speech: An Analysis

Share

PF Leader Michael Sata

By Elias Munshya wa Munshya

Undoubtedly, Chiluba’s press conference speech had called into question Sata’s personal moral character, but more than that it called into question the general character of Zambian politics.

If Sata was indeed as bad as Chiluba had claimed he was, then it begs the question why he kept him as his closest confidante in Cabinet and in the MMD for over ten years. Sata’s last position in Chiluba’s government was Minister-Without-Portfolio, the third highest office.

Besides, Chiluba claimed that as former head of State he had information about each minister, and so he had some damning information about Mr. Sata. But in spite of this information he still kept Sata in Cabinet, deliberately, keeping in political office someone he knew was unworthy and unfit. We dare not forget that in the 2006 elections, Chiluba was on hand to urge Zambians to vote for Sata—that is why today, I find it rather awkward to understand how Chiluba can both say that Sata is wrong for Zambia, but at the same time urge Zambians to vote for him as president nevertheless in 2006.

Chiluba only withdrew support to Sata just about the time that Sata did the so called reconciliation with Mwanawasa. If that be the case then it should suffice for us to know that Chiluba may have withdrawn support for Sata not because Sata was morally depraved, but rather because he Sata associated with Mwanawasa. It seems Chiluba’s principle was you could not be his friend if you were a friend of Mwanawasa. But this principle did not just apply with Chiluba; Mwanawasa also used it very well. Most of Mwanawasa’s close political confidants cut their links from Chiluba. It is rather ironical that only the late Dalton Sokontwe, stayed close to Chiluba.

The speech also raises some questions about the Church and her deeds. However, the Church should not be brought into political or personal problems of this nature. This is because the Church, whether protestant or Catholic is by its nature both a human institution and a divine institution, and as a human institution it is fraught with human weaknesses, favoritism and other vices. But in spite of her weakness, the Church has been a spiritual home bestowing solace and hope to countless, and we esteem her and esteem her fellowship regardless. It is therefore, not necessary that the Church should be brought into disrepute simply because of how it has behaved towards one politician or the other.

Unfortunately, both Chiluba and Sata have used some unpleasant words against the Church. For Sata he has very little respect for Chiluba’s “born again” Christianity, whereas Chiluba from this speech does seem to call into question the Catholic Church’s attitude towards Sata’s morality. However, the best policy towards the Church should be for politicians, including Sata and Chiluba to leave the Church alone. For her part the Catholic Church may be trying to bridle in some turbulent priests within the Ndola Diocese by bringing in Dr. Alick Banda, an expert of Church-State relations, as Bishop. Nevertheless, we are yet to see the impact that Bishop Banda will have on the politically charged Ndola Diocese.

Having pointed out the above issues, however, Chiluba’s speech is a very powerful political document whose impact at taming the political venom of Michael Sata should not be underestimated. It looks like with this speech, Frederick Chiluba is coming back to fight for the MMD and for Rupiah Banda. As for Sata, he nevertheless has a lot of questions he needs to answer, and Chiluba posed the questions very well. But I wonder whether those questions are just for Michael Sata alone!

  1. Sata by all reason and moral credence has lamentably failed to intelligently counter the moral damage this episode has delivered before the conservative and women constituencies who find this blow-off as his failure for leadership. How does he justify having two kids consecutively with a woman you are not married to if not in polygamy?

  2. Sata was already married with many kids yet the wife blessed him to keep reproducing bastards according to his version. By this narrative the was defying the very core values of our Zambian moral codes and Catholicism. If indeed his wife was sanctioning this promiscuity of planting bastards aimlessly everywhere, she was not only risking her own life from HIV aids, but promoting Sata’s adulterous life.

  3. PF cadres,

Tell me something that will make sense and not this lethargy of drivel spew Sata is vainly making. Sata was in adultery a fact he must directly confess in his promulgation. If the wife is a partner in this promiscuity, what would stop her from allowing him to turn plot one into a slaughter chamber? And as a couple how do the Satas morally reconcile this with the national spirit of fighting HIV Aids pandemic and the call to morality on our children?

  4. How does do they uphold the constitutionally declared Christian vlaues when it is Sata family culture to promote promiscuity and reproduce bastards?

If indeed Mama Kasebo sanctions promiscuity, then this family is a threat to our moral culture making Sata a misfit in plot one trail.

  5. OMG! are we still on this issue, why dont you guys who write these stories write something to do with development issues, people are dying from floods, starvation, water crisis at UTH,lack of accomodation at UNZA/CBU,street kids, how the economy is doing or better still what kind of investment opportunities….these articles are just raising some peoples tempers

  6. On the other hand that has triggered these fireworks is the issues of former Presidents enjoying their rights of association and speech. Unfortunately for the anti chiluba brigades, Former Presidents like all human beings are political animals. They have their own unconcealed political views and alignments based on strong shared values they’re identified with. This is a reality world over if you look at their voting records and trend of thoughts. One does not need to be a degreed Presidential politics scholar to see the deeply flawed logic of the anti Chiluba league in contention. They lack basic constitutional ground to drive the discourse but exposing their defeated chauvinistic and xenophobic emotions needlessly.

  7. Look at the world’s oldest democracy the US Presidents during and after elections. The trend is the same. In 2008 we saw President Jimmy Carter campaigning through his books while Bill Clinton spent 2008 on the campaign trail for the DNC and not GOP.

  8. This is why even the Zambian constitution protects our former Presidents in their right of association and speech. As long as they are not seeking any political office, support for their own bid or indeed aligning for such, they are not being unconstitutional. This is why you see that immediately KK dropped from his UNIP Presidency and bid for continuity, he started receiving his benefits. Now that KK has no political position or campaigning for any, his right of political participation is being fully restored and enjoyed.

  9. Since retirement in 2001 the country has seen KK openly support Mazoka and Nervous Mumba. In 2006 he openly endorsed Ichilema and made a national appeal that anyone not behind Ichilema was not being Zambian enough. That was his political opinion which MMD could not curtail except that PF cadres in their usual undiplomatic hysteria cried foul and insulted him with impunity.

  10. As if this is not enough, in 2006 we saw President Chiluba vigorously campaigning for Sata in Chingola, Ndola, Luanshya and Kitwe. PF cadres heralded, gloved and wiggled to different rhythms for him on every spot calling FJT an iconic leader that Mwanawasa was just victimizing because he is a Bemba. It was on this premise that Sata publicly made a decree that he was going to overturn Mwanawasa’s vindictive culture with squashing off all charges against Chiluba within 48 hours of his Communist style mass inauguration in Independence Stadium.

  11. Today after introspection, President Chiluba within his constitutional right which in the US is enshrined in the Bill of rights, has regretted his 2006 decision and found RB as a people’s President to support in best National interest againstpolitics of individualism and personality cult to nowhere. By this President Chiluba is in no bleach of the constitution unless we are intelligently proved wrong with constitutional clauses we can drive our debate on. President Chiluba is acting within his constitutional right and any cry over this mere support other than self aspiration of office, is incantation of sore losers to nowhere.

  12. #5 We are happy to be on this issue until Sata & HH give straight answers to issues raised. Haven’t you head of the 20/80 % rule? Why should we focus on the effects rather the cause, why should we focus on the by product than the objective, why should we be pre occupied with rats when we are hunting elephant. If you can’t take the heat get out of the Kitchen. This Satan is a danger to the our society and should never be allowed to be anywhere near the corridor of people. And my friend you have to thank the rural vote for putting this tiny pot dictator in his place otherwise there would never have been even talk of 2011 elections if he had won. Sata was going to R A P E the constitution and allow himself to be in power upto 2016. For consequences, ask people in Niger.

  13. Senior Citizen must be the son of an MMD official. For some reason most of the people don’t read your blog because you are so subjective. I feel sorry for you, it seem you don’t have much to do in life than just reacting to the simple minded third world politicians who have not feelings for the people they govern. Wake up and do or say something productive. I am not MMD or belong to any political party because it is not worth it. The only thing I know is that that country needs change of direction.

  14. #13 MMD Chief Bootlicker,

Do you really want to fucus on petty issues at the expense of development? After we finish talking about how many kids Sata has, what next.Is it RB`s corrupt practices at Namboard or how many suits and ties FTJ accumulated during his presidency? While your focus is misplaced, unemployment is still over 90%,roads are in shambles, health care a nighmare, the economy on its knees.

  15. #16 Chapi
Thank you for responding to bootlicker,as for Senior Citizen,i know him very well,i managed to put him in his right place ystday,i guess i’ve got a thick dossier on him too

  16. Not That again. We already know the truth we justing for voting time no AlaaBee and his sleeping team in Parlament:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/. He was sleeping on duty this one shika, am sure he is the boss to the MMD carders here who dont sleep but blog all the time to diffend the sleeping Shika and Alabee.

WALAI MPUTI BUSINESS THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE ON YESTERDAYS PARTY:)>- made me laugh

  17. Senior Citizen you are so deep in your points, We need answers, infact straight forward answers on the issues raised. In any case why is Sata and his foolish blind followers trying to avoid what FTJ has raised. Whatever FTJ has done wrong or what he is being called now can t errase the fact that he was our President for 10yrs and that Sata worked under him, meaning FTJ knows precisely why Sata can not and should never be allowed to lead ZED.
In adittion, anyone who likens himself to a snake which God himself poured serious punishment on, is a devil hence the pic showing Sata with a Cobra-note that he has had this Cobra through and through from one goverment office to the other. This man is Evil and can not be trusted with leadership beyond a ministerial position never!!!!

  18. Munsya wa munsya spot on-good analysis- let me add that FTJ inaddition to your reason for his withdrawing his support for Sata was when Sata apart from reconcilling with levy, he clinched a deal to be supported by M membe and the Post. This clearly upset FTJ, it was Satan who betrayed FTJ and not the other way round. So Sata should not blame FTJ just like he did not blaim him for choosing to work with the Post and M membe.

  19. #16 Typical PF lies and hallucinations and stuck in the past. Where did you get you data that there is 90% unemployment in Zambia? Lies and sensationalism will not take you anywhere. Let to say the truth and let facts defend you. Go to Zambia and ask any young person how it has become easier to find jobs nowadays ..quality of jobs is another debate because a job is a job

  20. Small minds like Mr. Capitalist are perpetually looping. For them life starts and ends with another man. Pure Idolatory. When are you going to be your own man?

  21. #23 MMD Chief Bootlicker

May you clarify for me what you mean when you state that,it is easy to find a job in Zambia?Do you mean working as a bootlicker or a real job?

  22. Chiluba is not a factor in the current Political dispensation. If MMD think he will help them win – they are dommed. He failed to pull through the THIRD (Sad) TERM. What makes MMD think he can pull this one?? Mwailasha!!!

  23. Lusaka Times, We know your source of news ZANIS is not woking. But surely this issue is now boring. Just put pictures since you have no news.

  24. Chiluba has kids outside marriage too. Everyone even RB, so guys, let us talk about development, and way forward of our beloved Zambia. We only have one Zambia. Sata, and HH just go forward, let us give Sata chance too, seen Degree holders have failed us

  25. We have concluded that Ba Sata ni hule. Stories going round are that he even has girl friends below 30 yrs, shame!!! What kind of a president can he make?

  26. RB, it is worse because he used to go out with young girls, and is a president, look at his wife how old is she? Chiluba too

  27. You Zambians why can’t you allow Sata & Chiluba to enjoy that which God has given man. I myself I had kids with Grace when she was my PA before I stole her from the hubby. Look today I have Robert Jnr today & am proud of that. A Man has to spread the seed. You can also learn from brother Jacob Zuma who has 4 wives & 20 children but is still on the hunt.

  28. senior citizen,,,,i think you could go a long way if you spoke more about real developmental issues than concentrating on trivialities as you are. while it is important for office bearers to be of high moral standing its a matter of fact that non will ever be in reality. so that developmental issues at hand should take more of our energies. if morals were such a big deal then non of us would ever aspire for the highest office. we are all just mortal beings living in glass houses…i rest my case

  29. We need to cram it into our skulls that man being a political animal will given the opportunity always seek a higher vantage point to entrench his/her political ideals notwithstanding how warped they may be. This whole hoc us pocus between FTJ and Sata makes my point quiet clear. These two were bed fellows in their common agenda to dethrone late president Levy Mwanawasa in 2006 all their political, moral, ideological positions being diametrically opposed to each other. FTJ wants to seek absolution for his myriad sins which Sata wants to ensure the former gets crucified to the cross once he assumes the reins of power bestowed upon him by the electorate come 2011. Chiluba being the political player that he is can not pass this rare glimmer of hope he sees in Rupiah’s incumbency after 2011.

  30. at the end of the day these guys are rich and we are left reading and trying to fund out and trying to understand and disecting and analyzing and POOR….. its time for a fresh round of theives….lock up the old ones and hang them.

  31. THE FACT THAT MOST MARRIED MEN DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN OUTSIDE MARRIAGE DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE SPARE WHEELS. IN FACT THE FACT THAT WE DON’T KNOW WHO FATHERED WHICH CHILD DOES NOT MEAN THAT THOSE CHILDREN BROUGHT UP BY SINGLE MOTHERS ARE FATHERLESS. AND THE FACT THAT SATA AGREES (EVEN TO HIS WIFE) THAT HE HAS CHILDREN OUTSIDE MARRIAGE TELLS US THAT HE IS HONEST. THEREFORE, RAISING ISSUES FOR WHICH SOMEONE HAS AGREED IS POINTLESS IF NOT PETTY AND CHILDISH. SATA GET ON YOUR LIFE, YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY OFFENDER IN THAT AREA.

  32. Ba chief bootlicker na ba so-called Senior citizen, no matter what baseless arguments you build in the air, pact is coming into power next year. How many lies are you gonna tell here? What is there to show that the MMD is working? Open corrupption all over the place and you keep yapping like Zambia is a paradise at the moment! SHAME ON YOU AND WHOEVER PAYS YOU TO WRITE TRASH! ATASE!!!

  33. #25, walasa, ba #23 PLEASE WE ARE WAITING FOR AN ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we don’t see an answer soon, we’ll assume BOOT-LICKING IS THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. MMD bootlicker and senior citizen, Can you please also tell us how many children RB has compared to Sata? Besides RB is worse coz him has even married a minor when we look at his age and his wife’s age.As for Chiluba is married to a convict, and atleast Sata is married to an educated woman(DR) who has understood that of course the husband has children with another woman, and he has been honest about it.

  35. The revelation is sad because bishop mpundu is brother in law of sata.No wonder why the bishops support PF.basterd childeren in the cathoilics church shame.

  36. Chiluba am sure is even a disgrace to his own family, most importantly chiluba failed to use his opportunity of been a president to educate his children or aleast teach them good morals and attain some good education, instead he was looking at his kids behaving so thugary in public and exibiting embrassing behavours everywhere they went, Eg Look at how his son Castro destroyed his life and died miserably? Now if you hold high office and you fail to teach and educate your children what values can you have in society?

  37. #42 Gilbert Lubinda, basterd children are every where dont think its only in catholic church where people have children outside marriage. If thats your judgement am afraid you are miss imformed about Zambians cheap politics.

  38. Bane Sata started the fight and FTJ has been warning this Serpent to behave, equally the Catholic Bishops haven t behaved well because they want to be hollier than Any of our politicians and yet they have Sisters who are prostitutes-by having kids with married Men and also scre***g other peoples’ wives-remember the Ndole case involving a parish priest which ended up in Court and that poor young lady was dirvorced Shame!!!

  39. If chiluba is as bad as Sata says then why did he support him for so long and it is valid to question why chiluba kept sata for so long if he finds fault in him. Chiluba obviously saw Sata more as a political bulldog/tool that needs to be kept in a leash but did not think him capable of running the affairs of the nation. If the common man does not see through these charades then only ordinary people will suffer from the effects of these detrimental alliances. If we continue to support ineptitude, innuendo, gimmicks, lies and abuse then politicians will believe that that is what they need to do to win elections. It is in our hands to determine which direction the nation should take

  40. Some of you Sata is already rulling you so what more do you want?. To me thats not a big deal, what seems to be a big problem, is to suggest that Sata be the Republican president No!! If God had given a go ahead Sata would have been there in the sit already but no no no It should never happen. not in Zambia no no

  41. #49 . I agree with you. He sounds like some one who works in the emabssy and would lose his job if MMD was kicked out. Empty vessels make the most noise !!

  42. This is a quote from The General ( Miyanda). I think he has a point.
They should take an interest in what role he is playing; he was with KK, he was at the side of FTJ, he was with Levy and now with RB; all these have valued him,” Brig Gen Miyanda stated. “Remove emotion from your thought process and you will begin to see things you are not seeing.

  43. They should take an interest in what role he is playing Vernon Mwaanga; he was with KK, he was at the side of FTJ, he was with Levy and now with RB; all these have valued him,” Brig Gen Miyanda stated. “Remove emotion from your thought process and you will begin to see things you are not seeing.

  44. Senior Citizen’s comments are sickening; how does he know whether his mother conceived him not from the father he knows but from another man? Why call God’s children “bastards” you f.ool? You must be a bastard yourself … how can we tell that you are not? Your mother must have been a bi.tch. You are just as trivial as Frederick Chiluba who discusses issues relating to marriage and children in public … like children ku mansansa. You need to keep innocent children out of political rhetoric.

  45. I salute SC for calling a spade a spade. According to Sata his wife was sending him to make bastards. By this she was failing in her partriarchy roles. What do you want SC to call Sata’s adulterous born children when they are products of prostitution? Why don’t you PF cadres start your own blog instead of dreaming that the moralists would kiss the adulterous and polygamous Sata? Who forces you to read SC’s blogging does he send you invitation cards? You have the right to jump them.MMD activists do that and you should do that.

  46. What does the Bible say

In the Hebrew it is “mamzer.” . This is a term for a child that is the product of incests or an adulterous relationship, a promiscuous relationship (a bastard) or of rape. In my Tanach in Devarim (Deuteronom) it is translated as Bastard but in Zechariahis translates as stranger.

  47. What does the word Bastard refer to in the bible?

The word “bastard” appears three times in the King James Version of the Bible. In Deuteronomy 23:2 and Zechariah 9:6 the Hebrew word is “mamzer.” While that word in Yiddish does sometimes mean an “illegitimate child,” the word itself means “mixed.” The passages would make equal sense if it is taken to mean a child of a marriage between a Jew and one of the nations the Jews were forbidden to marry. In fact, in Deuteronomy that fits the context best. “A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the…

  48. An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever.”

  49. The other use of the word is in Hebrews 12:8. The whole context is as follows: “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

  50. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?” (Heb. 12:5-9) The clear meaning of the term here is one who is not the legitimate son of a father. This is what we generally think of when we use the term today.

  51. Adulterous Sata has no choice but to take responsibility, apologise and repent that he fathered bastards.God can forgive him that fighting Chiluba when he did it.

  52. God and Zambians can forgive Sata if he show contrition and seek their forgiveness instead of him needlessly fighting Chiluba the messager of rebuke and repentace when Sats did it wittingly with sanctions of his wife.

  53. Somehow the paid bloggers have time to defend the crimes of their bosses, but sadly, Ben Kangwa and other embassy workers in other foreign offices have taken it upon themselves to be attack dogs for Banda. They are literally replacing the late Tetamashimba. The good thing is that they are blogging with enlightened young men and women who have spent time behind desks and are able to discern trash from facts. So, Patriot, Veteran Senior Citizen Ben Kangwa and your team, thank you for wasting your time and the government’s resources fighting a losing battle. You have an insurmountable mountain to climb. The only way people are going to listen to your diatribes, is when we hear Sata was caught red handed stupping a dog. As long as it is another human being, it is normal and that shows that

  54. cont. from #63.

he is a man than you are. Probably you are just jealousy that you have shot blanks all your life. Show us your children. Sadly not even one girl uwakukubepesha po that he is the father of my child. So, your anger is coming out on the MAN CHILD, Michael Chilufya Sata. Imwe yama mufito weka. No image on earth. So, stop the rot. If you can, go have a child of your own. Sata never broke a law in having those kids. He was fulfilling the biblical request. Go and spread like the sand of the sea. And he did it. You will spend all your anger on his consensual affairs, but you will never win any soul for MMD. You are now just like a voice in the wilderness. If you want you can even get the tallest building in DC and scream about SATA, no one will care. You are a lost course.

  55. The debate seems to be going on in a way of degradation than objectivity. Let me delve into the matter as per my observation. Politics are not dirty but the players make the game lousy and dirty. Sata wanted to gain some political mileage by taking on FTJ. He played his game well articulated to the amazement of even himself and his co-horts. But because politics is a game of gaining support from the populace FTJ came back with a small arsenal to quench some fierce fire from Cobra. Cobra was taken un-aware because he never expected FTJ to send an open email blast, from his press statement, of the Cobra`s misdeeds. The Cobra must now not bite but defend its name. The ball is thrown into the Cobra`s court. In fact the Cobra must be careful now before more damage is done. That is an ice-berg,

  56. Sata must not fight no more. If he fights back like attacking FTJ more damage will be done. We all know that FTJ is no longer aspiring for Plot 1 and hence he loses nothing. Therefore he can say anything. Meanwhile Sata is seriously campaigning for presidency. Any more damage or negativity will erode his popularity especially in the rural areas where MMD has a huge following, and that is where MMD gets the needed vote. Mr Cobra you started a fight which you might not finish. The way you play your cards from now onwards will determine your future. Sata never play the game of FTJ. If I were you I would start courting FTJ in my camp, doing some damage control. One more thing will finish you off, Cobra. Forget about being antagonistic and focus on Bwezani than FTJ. Listen to the reasoning power

  57. I think patroit is senior citizen. Not all mothers with kids was becuase of prostituion. Most kids are born out of relationships. Talk about morality look at RB and his wife. Ka mwishi kulu !!

  58. Chiluba has been in the courts of law already and does not care about anything. But Cobra to be taken there now will make you ineligible for presidency. If you want to play this game play it with Bwezani and not FTJ. He knows too much about you. Your word against FTJ will not work for he is not in the office. A negative word about you in the area of immorality and corruption will sink you further down. We all know how Chiluba married his present wife. Nobody cares anymore because he is not in the office. But you are looking for that office. Do you want to continue fighting for your name or what? If you miss the coming elections then Bwana Cobra maybe it`s not given to you. You are not to rule Zambia. HH is a novice so he is not a threat. Stop playing to the gallery about FTJ. He`ll hurt u.

  59. #10, whom are you refering to by the name Ichilema because we have never had anyone by that name ?
Are you trying to mispronounce the real names of people in order to appease those who consider you to bright ? Don’ t you realise that it is totally unacceptable do that going by your conduct ? Please, withdraw your statement right away or you may face the wrath of those who are not brainwashed like you. Maybe, Ichilema is your child or father because Zambia never had anyone by that name. (uliciyanga).

  60. Clergy Advice ,

Thank you for wisdom and sincerity. There are no two ways about but to realize the damage this has inflicted. In all this circus RB comes out iconic with space and rallying macinery while troubled Cobra is entrenched in poor and uncoordinated damage control. The 2011 elections are not for FJT but RB who is enjoying all the horizon pitched with bruised opponents. The rural votes are cemented with MMD while Sata this has put him in fall with the christian, women and children rights groups votes. In Luapula already the error of building dissidend MPs against self have not done any good for Sata. The recent trip of RB with overwhelming hospitality sparks a goose chase for PF. Unfortunately, PF has failed to assemble and drive savvy and intelligent cadres in damage control.

  61. #70 am referring to Akainde Ichilema UPND leader as my grand mother calls him, sorry we don’t have a letter H in my mother tongue

  62. The damage has been done but very sad indeed, PF has failed to prove systemic ability. What we have been seeing are sporadic reactionary more alienating below insults. Winter Kabimba from Cuba sends insults on Zambians that they have no brains and could have chosen any dog in 1991.But Zambians know the courage and self denial Chiluba made against the mighty UNIP that no one dared take on. Why didn’t Kabimba take on KK. As if its not enough, Given Lubinda who should have mounted a spirited damage control has failed but insulting Chiluba. Then comes President Sata himself who blanders by saying his wife was aware of what he was doing outside his matrimonial marriage. After fathering the first child, she allowed him to go and put in another one out of marriage with the same woman.

  63. #72 correction, oh sorry I thought you referred to me because that is how I call that Ichilema, at least I now know am not in fact the only one. But the name fit his brain really, how can a sane politician of his education quality and corporate standing form an alliance with bust station Kaponyas who have never even seen the inside of a classroom. Can the two walk together unless they be agreed? Surely there must be something wrong with this man hence his name ICHILEMA.

  64. On a serious note PF should have intelligently assemmbled very competent, multi tasked grounded Spin Doctors. So far its a disaster and the MMD machinery is having a field day in all fronts. Look right here emotionally and intelligently prepared MMD activists are daily entrapping and overwhelming PF cadres. Instead of countering them, they resort to more alienating insults without arresting any damage MMD is steadfastly inflicting on PF.Just who is the head of the PF campaign machinery if there is any. Its time to make some major strategic alterations to the campaign otherwise MMD will keep walking to innauguration with smiles against a fragmented opposing PF.

  65. Kalos, Kalos, aka Chapi, Caradon, Mbuzi and many others, just read through, the same shallow reasoning in Kalos’s argument is portrayed in all these, ever accusing Seniour Citizen of being Ben Kangwa, and you now we know you are Sata’s bastard. From now on, when you blog, ill refer you to what you are Sata’s illegitimate, the one who organised for him to go to Havard to present nonsense . Just look another bastard son of Sata in America busy changing his identity. Still LMAO, you know you should learn to call a wrong a wrong a spade a spade. Bastards may exist, but that doesnt make them moraly right, do not encourage my children to become immoral like you guys who support ubuchende. Yaba on this one, mwapya ba mambala , Chiluba amichene. LMAO

  66. Satamania..!…The saga continues…So many analyses left , right and centre….. Let’s move on people . We need to be a bit more serious about things that we discuss.
    …..# 5 smoothcriminal…..That is so, so sadly true .
…Paid bloggers…even by your usual high standards of chronic deficiency of independent thought , on this matter , you have exceeded yourselves….:o

  67. #81 Mr Kapoma Kabaso

You are absolutely correct. We have a poor drainage system which has resulted in floods, unemployment has reached alarming levels, our healthcare is in a mess.Yet the focus seems to be on petty issues. It`s really a shame.

  68. On the leadership issue of Zambia, MP George Mpombo was quoted in Today’s POST as saying “I can tell you that Mr. Michael Sata has more knowledge than a lot of educated people with degrees“. Now, the question that begs an honest answer is does Mr PF Sata MC have any degree in light of the above data from MP Mpombo and Mr Sata MC’s claims that he has two degrees?

I hope Mr PF/MC Sata will demand an apology from Hon MP George Mpombo for misleading the Nation.

Otherwise, congrats MP Mpombo on your graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science – and all the best on MMD 1.

  69. #77 LMAO, you are trying. Ask your boss Senior Citizen Ben Kangwa. They have tried to call me all sorts of names but LOL, it will never hurt cause it is not true. I am getting you guys were it hurts most. Did you know that bastards are human beings too? Why do you want to hurt innocent children? It is like you want to blame the poor kids for the misdeeds of their parents. That is really evil. For sure if Sata wants to have more kids out wedlock, it is between him and the women. After all he takes care of his kids than your Kafupi (FTJ). Banda has a daughter in DC and ask her the last they shook hands. That should worry you. Not Sata’s kids. So, call me all you want, but remember I will hit you with one and you will forget you exist. Others have tried, you are not the first one.

  70. Please Mr Sata and PF cadre “Bishop” Telesphore, give us answers quick so that we bury this episode and move on. As for the so called “Bishop” Telesphore he had it coming the way he allowed himself to be used and abused by mmembe. The “bishop” brought the Catholic into disrepute all because of his mulamuship with Sata.

  71. Some one tell me these guys who threw stones in 1964 still have the best interest of Zambia at heart? Zambia has changes and can someone remind Zambia that half a milenium is almost past and we are still letting the same boneheads decide what is good for Zambia. How come these guys have not gotten the formula yet? Zambians please wake up! Anyone that was in the UNIP government should not qualify to stand for any office because their time is UP! See what is happening all over the world; America has the first black president! He was only 2 years old when Zambia got independence. Liberia has a woman president and so has Germany! The list goes on. What is wrong with new leadership? All the educated young ones local and abroad! Forget the Satas of this world, they are finished goods! Balipwa!!!

  72. As clearly stated on Radio by the Town Clerk & Given Lubinda, the floods are due to promises of giving plots once elected into power which the councilors have honoured. The only problem is that these plots are sitting on top of drains, spill ways and streams. Now they have been blocked with tightly compacted dirt so that structures can be built. This is why PF areas have floods which we never had before in the history of Lusaka.

Today Sata has admitted failure. He has admitted that he, the PF and the Coucils run by PF have failed.

Admitting failure just shows how inadequate a person is for the top job.

#87 maybe you should stand instead of throwing stones from a safe place.

  73. SATA has a child with former living stone town clerk a Ms. Suba. That child has a downing snydrone.
Sata as a Minister in Local and amabondi (merzaf flats), defended this Ms Suba to the bone, coz he knew used to have share. Sata has a child with the former Livingstone town clerk.

  74. by the way, how old are Sata’s children with Ms. Mpundu?

on the other hand, i implore us to restrain our use of the word ‘bastard’ in reference to Sata’s children. whilst it’s fair english to refer to them as such, i think it doesn’t go down well with our culture, since the word has been ‘improved’ to vulgar vocabulary.
besides, some of us here (not me!) are bastards, maybe even yourself senior citizen, & it aint a good idea to acknowledge you as such. let’s tone down, please!

  75. Patriot / Veteran / Senior Citizen / aka BK (Posting #55): You said, “What do you want SC to call Sata’s adulterous born children when they are products of prostitution?” You see how daft you are! Are Sata’s children the subject of discussion in the article above? Why do you always discuss issues that are not covered in articles you comment on? Your job at the Embassy is a sinecure that is likely to be abolished sooner or later. There is no wisdom in spending public funds on positions whose holders just wake up to blog trash …
