RB off to Namibia

Share

PRESIDENT Banda is today expected to leave for Namibia to attend that country’s 20th independence anniversary and witness the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Hifikepunye Pohamba

This is contained in a statement issued in Lusaka yesterday by the State House press and public relations unit.

Mr Pohamba recently won elections in Namibia and is entering his second term of office.

President Banda’s entourage to Namibia includes former President Kenneth Kaunda and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fashion Phiri.

President Banda is expected back in the country on Tuesday March 22, 2010.

  1. Mwe bantu bakwa Lesa, what is wrong with this man kanshi? Cant he send at least his deputy for some of these travels

  2. Ili lyashi likaya. Before the man goes for one trip, the next five trips are already planned. Not surprised.

  3. This is one long inauguration. 4 days! Just out of interest, is the president gunning for a Guiness world record? March is not yet over and this is the third trip.In the whole month, he has spent more days outside the country than inside!

  4. not again! what’s wrong with our president? I wouldn’t be surprised if he has spent more time abroad than at home since entered office….TOURISM PRESIDENT.. very shameful

  5. :d Our president has definitely made our country the laughing stock of the world. He is more in the air than in office, i wonder when the next trip is.

  6. Aaaah guys… RB is enjoying the fruits of his labour… opps what labour I mean tax payers money… ama guys ba chilamo… Zambia needs a need bread of leadership. RB is in retirement and like everyone in retirement all you do is travel an see the world…

Ama elections are coming up let your opinion be heard at the polls

  7. Good Evening

Just in case you think RB is the only president with a record of numerous foreign travels, just slot in your search machine President Obasanjo of Nigeria, John Kufuor of Ghana and Mobutu Seseseko of former Zaire and get astonished at how often they travelled while in office.

  8. This Banda Guy is really taking us for fools. Imagine how he would behave if he was elected for another five years. He would probably relocate or some thing. It is time to wake up Zambia, RED CARD THE BUGGER

  9. # 11 im astonished you are comparing past presidents to a modern one. Times have changed, we expect our politicians to be wiser especially with the technology upon us. Our country just cant afford unnecessary costs. We need to condemn RB and not compare him or line him up with the worst plunderers of the continent

  10. @ Nine Chale, dude are you serious just because some one did it before does not make it ok, and that is that attitude that keeps Zambia in the same position…
    Its a new day…

  11. #13 & 14 Please don’t get me wrong fellers. Just because I present statistics does not mean that I’m supporting these immense travels. All I’m trying to do is approach the issue objectively instead of giving way to emotions and getting infuriated everytime we hear about a presidential visit. It reminds me of cry babies who can’t do things on their own but always need dad to be around them. Besides, I think there’s enough evidence that most of these trips are not just “frivoulous”.

  12. #15 get serious, what evidence is there to prove that most of these trips are not frivolous?this one is for 4 days, what inuguration takes that long?

  13. When is enough, enough? Even those explorers at least stayed in their own countries before embarking on another journey. In fact the comparison of Banda to Mobutu’s travels give more reason to dump this sack. Mobutu infuriated the African American community in the US on one trip when he spent more than $2 million at Disney. Could Banda be doing the same on this trips? Who knows?

  14. If RB was a product like cream or soft drink,he could be lablled best before 2011 or if he could happen to be a car,its beyond repair. What a parent? [-x oh God come to our aid.**==

  15. # 15 Nine Chale are you being serious? What evidence do you have that these trips are not frivolous? Maybe you should look up the meaning of the word frivolous. You talk about approaching the issue objectively, big man man what objectivity is there when you have a head of state who rarely stays in the office. What time does he have to attend to office issues. I wonder how full his in basket is.I agree with # 17 what inauguration takes 4 days. Why cant he fly on the actual day then come back since he has been out of the office for some time. The then South African President flew in the same day to attend his inauguration and went back. why cant RB do that

  16. #15, NINE ChaLE, this is the first time you have written something i can not support you. You do not need to compare Them Mobuto and the rest with RB, them guys are gone. I do not even know what to say about RB, one day Zambia will Rise and tell him not to land at Lusaka Internation Airport.
    Enough is Enough.

  17. This man still thinks he is in the foreign service( these trips are costly to the country coz of his VIP status), yeah best before 2011 ! Can someone advise him to be mindful and leave some cash for bridges coz people are still wading through water up to now in Southern Province because the bridges were washed away ![-(

  18. By the way, Angola is being represented by the speaker of national Assembly. The President has excused himself due to national commitments

  19. no 11 dont be a prick.the people that you are comparing your president with have been in office for more than 5 years to have made those trips but this visionless man has only been a president for about 16 months, please make sensible comparisons otherwise we will start doubting your sanity.

  20. I have a lot of respect for Nine Chale as one of the most objective and intelligent bloggers and I support his comments on this issue. As for “my big man”, RB, well, so many travels are making him more unpopular. He could delegate some. On this trip, KK would have gone with the VP.

  21. This Sanama Bitch should learn how to delegate. There has to be a way of making him accountable for the money he is wasting. He must have been the happiest man to see Mwanawasa dead. We are back to UNIP without even realizing. These are not the principles MMD was founded on – swindling money from the poor. ABASH Chi Banda, go back to the bush you i.mbicile.

  22. President Obama is postponing a trip to Indonesia and Australia to remain in Washington for the expected House vote on the health care bill, a spokesman said.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Obama is likely to make the visit in June. The president had been scheduled to leave for the trip Sunday. CNN

This what real leaders do. You don’t leave your country in the middle of a crisis – floods, unemployment, poverty, corruption, school dropouts, street kids, AIDS etc

  23. Im even failing to construct a decent sentence.. He’s spending 3 nights 4 days away when he cud have flown in and out same day. Windhoek is so near. like someone said.. the rest of the money cud have sorted out the bridges in Southern province..

  24. Maybe RB knows that his time is up and the rigging wont work this time, so its enjoy it while I can time… forget the vice or any other reps taking my place if something is happen I’m going, inauguration qwisa… 4 days! Listen if this was a private company he would have to account to the shareholders & board, you can’t have your CEO on constant trips and the company is still not making a profit, constantly borrowing money. And its up to the board to remove him or else they won’t make any money. Its just simple mathematics grandpa has to go…

  25. RB please spare us Zambian by steppin even before 2011 election because you are very useless.my follow peacefull Zambians let us all show RB & his MMD govt the Red Card.

  26. FOR SALE – Used Challenger Jet 150

    1.
Price reduced due to many kilometre’s travelled.
    2.
Not serviced regularly due to poor services in Zambia so its flown to S.A once in a blue moon for quick oil changes.
    3.
Uses high cost fuels only located in Zambia but filters need changing due to poor conditions of oil refinery located within the country.
    4.
Many seats have been removed so that more space is available to large users of the Jet.
    5.
Has large Whiskey Bar and fridges to store whole cattle bodies ready for quick on board meals.
    6.
Has large secured cash holding facilities for returning from abroad with large funds from wellwishers.
    7.
Guiness world record holder for most Presidential trips by any world leader in 2009 – 2010 period.

A FOOL AND HIS PLANE ARE QUICKLY…

  27. One day bena RB bakalaba bakaya ku Iran for a state visit and then we call call abena Osama bachitepo fimo fimo! lol!

  28. Umuntu kuti alipena , but because ni ba president , nobody would dare say anything. The same bull.s.h.i.t of respecting elders even when clearly , they don’t deserve it .
..K K should also have retired with dignity and not start associating with MMD trips that use up our meagre resources.
…..Well if it’s true that the presido gets $50K allowance for every trip then , it’s not hard to see why. But is it really true that he gets all that much ? I thought he would get more like a daily allowance rather than a fixed amount.
…I take it the entourage , as is customary , was seen off by another entourage and will be received , on it’s return , by another entourage . Further waste of much needed taxpayers money…:((

  29. Oh my God there he goes again? Whats with him and travelling? Where are his subjects and why are they letting him behave like this? He is wasting taxpayers money for these trips..ITS NOT HIS MONEY!! Ouch when does he ever work? Okay lets say he really doesn’t understand what he is supposed to be doing…please let this man go after this term!!

  30. Here we go again. You Zambians should also blame levy mwanawasa y he appointed an old man for vice if he Also had young people to hold that position. Stup id idea from levy. Remove this man voters please put fresh blood.but for now put an action man to crank our minds towards patriotism. Sata

  31. Considering RB’s perpertual “expeditions”,it does make alot of sense when they say if you want to test a man’s character you should give him power. What RB is doing is a blantant over use of his powers as a head of state.Honestly,he needs somebody to give him a whoop on his backside.

  32. #42 KK11 its not Levy that voted for RB it is the people of Zambia. There were people who contested within the MMD presidency and there he won as their presidential candidate. So its Not Levys mistake, it was not an automatic thing that if someone is a vice then he becomes president after the president dies. Zambia has a TOURIST for a PRESIDENT because people made a wrong choice voting. And because many young people did not vote for the person they wanted. Then later complaining that RB won. Register as a voter and tell your relatives and friends to register to and vote for your candidate of choice it will make a difference of you really want change.

  33. Bye bye RB. Say hi to the people in Namibia. Awe Ine nalema maje ku chita escort.
Thandiwe agone njala ka. Every time olala yeka pa bedi.

  34. Just a week ago president Obama suspended his trips to Assia because he wanted to support teams participating in the on going U.S collage basketball tournament and he also wanted to push his health care bill in the senate. Now why can’t our president suspend or delegate some of his trips to his veep or ministers just for the sake of serving his country zambia? Why can’t he put his butts down and work and tell the NCC to finish its work on time? why can’t he takes care of the flood situation in the country rather than going to Namibia where there are no floods at the momemt? Fr Bwalya need to flush him a red card.

  35. RED CARD BANE! Even, Senior Citizen/Veteran/Capitalist cant find words to defend these trips. I really hope the same plane is serviced as often, otherwise……..

  36. Sorry off topic, just thought this would be interesting reading.

Most people believe that the origin of HIV, the AIDS virus, derives from some natural evolutionary event. Key among these HIV origin theories is the so called “cut hunter theory” in which a human, allegedly African native, received a bloody wound or infected splash while preparing a chimpanzee carrying a similar virus (i.e., SIVcpz). Most recent research, along with the scientific consensus, holds that the origin of HIV and AIDS could never have happened this way.

In 2001, The Royal Society of London’s conference proceedings, which sought to determine the initial cause of AIDS and the origin of HIV, were published for the world to behold. The most highly respected scientists and academicians debated the…

  37. The most highly respected scientists and academicians debated the possibility that HIV-1, the most widespread and deadly human AIDS virus, evolved from accidental vaccine contaminations and subsequent transmissions to mostly African villagers. The oral polio vaccine (OPV) received the focus of interest here since that vaccine was partially derived from growing live polio viruses in monkey kidney cells that have historically proven to be contaminated with cancer viruses such as SV40 — the 40th monkey virus ever discovered. This virus, like HIV-1, is currently linked by medical scientists to widespread human cancers. By the end of the symposium, the esteemed delegates concluded HIV’s origin, and AIDS, was not likely to have come from polio vaccine transmissions as chimpanzees were not…

  38. By the end of the symposium, the esteemed delegates concluded HIV’s origin, and AIDS, was not likely to have come from polio vaccine transmissions as chimpanzees were not proven to have been used during the manufacture of this vaccine

The hepatitis B vaccine was not considered by this esteemed gathering. Suspiciously neglected, this vaccine was produced in chimpanzees during pilot testing conducted in New York City, among gay men, and Central African villagers between 1972 and 1974. This was precisely timed for the emergence of AIDS in these exact, demographically distinct, communities by the late 1970s. The fact that this fact was neglected proves shoddy science or gross negligence at best.

Importantly, among the most respected of all HIV/AIDS origin theorists, the U.S…

  39. The old man knows that exiting the scene come 2011. He is therefore maximising his earnings with all these trips!

  40. Importantly, among the most respected of all HIV/AIDS origin theorists, the U.S. Government’s chief DNA sequence analyst at the Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico , Dr. Gerald Myers, reported with his colleagues that the origin of HIV could not have begun with “cut hunters” or other single isolated cross species transmissions (called “zoonosis”). He reported that genetic sequencing studies prove some “punctuated origin of AIDS event” took place during the mid-1970s giving rise, virtually simultaneously, to at least ten different HIV “clades” (or genetic subtypes) associated with ten different distinguishable AIDS epidemics in Africa alone. The most likely cause of this widespread bizarre zoonosis was some man-made (i.e., iatrogenic) event involving chimpanzees…

  41. Myers and his colleagues offered the following best explanation for the origin of HIV: “It is not far-fetched,” they wrote, “to imagine the ten or so clades deriving from a single animal (perhaps immunosuppressed and possessing a swarm of variants) [as might have been the case with chimpanzees used in the process of hepatitis B vaccine manufacture] or from a few animals that might have belonged to a single troop or might have been gang-caged together. The number of animals required is secondary to the extent of variation in the source at the time of the zoonotic or iatrogenic event. The [vaccine] hypothesis makes a case for such a punctuated origin . . .” (See: Burr T, Hyman JM and Myers G. The origin of acquired immune deficiency syndrome: Darwinian or Lamarchkian? Phil. Trans. 42. seeing all the flags next to your comments, 80% are from the diaspora. arm chair critics. sleeping on your couches, doing credit card fraud, mopping vomit in nursing homes or working pathetic jobs. come to zambia. but most of you uneducated quacks or failed homos will suffer. we are not suffering. sorry to say. i will go drink mosi gold and watch man utd. take a drive to see my woman in kabulonga and wear my shoes i got from new york. hopeless diaspora sufferers. hope your own plane crashes when you come visit. HE IS THE PRESIDENT, HE CAN DELEGATE TO A GOAT IF NECESSARY> THANKFULLY ALL YOU ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DONT VOTE. WE DO.

  43. Who is raising those kids Banda has? Bushe bana bakwe mudala uyu? Abana they celebrate their birthdays with teachers only. Wishi aliba pa tour. Mudala Banda needs to pay for his trips. Probably he will minimize this nonsense. Kwati kubuta. Mudala has even stopped taking showers. His behavior has become very costly and God forbid, ngachapona ba mumbwe mukalelila. I think this man has become suicidal.

  44. Probably RB had plans of becoming a Pilot which he did not fulfill because ali ichikopo. So he wants his dreams to come true.

  45. # 56, your comments makes a sad read, if that s how you classify not suffering . Drinking a mosi, watching Man U and going to see your woman in Kabulonga, i feel sorry for you.My man let me open your eyes, the reason you cant even live together with your woman is because you cant afford to marry her, therefore you are sufferring. If you cant see that what effects the presidents travels have on our economy, and his leadership then i should not even waste time debating with you

  46. #11, 15 Ba Nine Chale, this is the least of reasoning I expected from you who won the Best Blogger Award. Awe napapa, and I don’t even see the objectivity you seem to talk about.

  47. Zambia! the only country in Africa without a President.
Shall We Tell The President that…….?

  48. 45 yrs ago the U S president was one(1)yr old,Obama. 45yrs ago after independence our KATEKA Kanitundila Banda was thirty(30)yrs old and in politics, 45 yrs after independence Kanitundila is our president 45yrs later Obama is U S president.compare the thinking (intuitions) of these two people A one(1) yr old now and thirty(30)yrs old. iyoo kwena

  49. 45 yrs ago the U S president was one(1)yr old,Obama. 45yrs ago after independence our KATEKA Kanitundila Banda was thirty(30)yrs old and in politics, 45 yrs after independence Kanitundila is our president, 45yrs later Obama is U S president.compare the thinking (intuitions) of these two people A one(1) yr old and thirty(30)yrs old. iyoo kwena

  50. Nine Chale we will complain to LT about your stupidity. LT should remove your comment because it is embarrassing to say the least. Ba Boss how can you reason like that, Mwali kolwa Germany beer! Cant you see how many bloggers have respect for your contributions , now you have let them down. Dont tell you have been promised a ka job at the Embassy?

  51. # 66 well researched. It is scary how different environments can make people behave. A 1 year old has more wisdom than a 30 year old. Obama has putt off many foreign trips every time a national issue is at hand. he put off the china trip when there was a shootout at the army base, now the Asia trip is off because of other commitments. RB despite the floods, NCC issue, his party’s pending convention he just wants to fly. soon they will be world cup, AU meeting, Sudan’s president inauguration, by elections in milanzi etc so expect RB to be all over

  52. Abaleya Zain, this tired president ali nanchito. Every time must be on the move. By the tyme he is chucked out of the office the challenger will be a wreck.

  53. #56 Zodie. Why did you have to buy a pair of shoes in New York?:d

Why are you telling us about driving?:d

Why are you telling us about Kabulonga?:d

Why are you shouting and insulting to prove to us that you are not suffering?:d

As for watching Man U on telly please spare that nonsense there are people here who watch games in person. I was at the Emirates yesterday. :d Got to laugh at this miserable mug:d

  54. Bushe ba R.b what is your work as a president? Is it tourism or Journalism? We are worried of you as our President, morever we are concerned as citizens. When are you going to dedicate time for our country?Ubukulu bwa inkoko masako nomba ifwe amasako tatuleyamona, yakamena lilali? So Ba R.B you need another five years for knowing more other countries or for what do you need it for? Mutwebe ifyomulefwaya.

  55. I hope that Presidential plane he uses is being serviced, just do not when cause he is always travelling using the same crap. Why can’t he use Commercial Airlines? He is really excited ati lyonse ni mu choni. Anyway our country is finished. “Ni this is it”

  56. :d Bra Zodie has exhibited just want poverty can do to a man. Drinking Mosi is an issue to him, driving a second hand Mark 2 from Japan means he is living the life. You mean if RB delegated to a goat you will let a goat lead you ? You have serious mental problem and you need help.

  57. Every blogger is entitled to their his/her own opinion and as such, should be left alone to contribute freely on this blog and not be intimidated by fellow bloggers. We seem to be doing the same things we are condeming/complaining about with GRZ, Intimidation.

  58. Dear RUPIAH BANDA-iam officially inviting to home .considering that you will in namibia for fours days ,i suggest u fly direct to me straight from there .let me in advance any special/particular preferences.cant wait .ohbefore i forgot i must mention that there is nothing in particular iam inviting you for but merely mens talk, know what i mean.but it certainly do you good to take a break from those that are always fighting for your job.although i doubt they will take considering the support you have from “friends”.anyway its always like that.thats why i said cant to see you here.later

  59. Its like Animal Farm:
Rupiah Banda = God, Andrew Banda = Jesus, MMD = Kingdom of God.

LOCAL government deputy minister Moses Muteteka has said he is waiting for President Rupiah Banda’s response to his son Andrew’s advice.

Muteteka said, “Me, I am very biblical, if Jesus tells God that ‘My Father this person’ so we have to wait for Jesus and God to battle it out. As disciples, we will continue working, simple as that. So let Jesus be answered by the Father and then we will come in, as the church we will come in to say, ‘maybe they are fighting’………Jesus is as good as god. So what more do you want? Me, I am serving in the kingdom of God where Jesus is the Son. If I was not comfortable I would have resigned. You understand?

Remember UNIP days? “Kumulu Lesa, Panshi…

  60. # 76 Just as much as each blogger expects a response from bloggers addressing his contribution on the blog. Every one is free to contribute and is free to be contradicted so dont expect when one says his piece then he should be left alone. If you play with fire you get burned, period

  61. Our president’s trips have now gone being the absurd, they are now becoming a serious source of NATIONAL SECURITY concerns. How can your enemies not get tempted to do you harm when the COMMANDER IN CHIEF is always absent from his post?

Discussing our country’s sensitive security issues with his lieutenants on the phone from a plane, or from a foreign country is always risky. There is always a chance of the communications being intercepted or eavesdropped on by both friends and foes—mind you, this guy has to be briefed everyday about our country’s security/intelligence issues. So how does he accomplish this when he is always on the “road”? Considering our lack of sophistication in communication technologies, this is very risky and a big DANGER to our NATIONAL SECURITY!!!

  62. Zodie Dube:

You are an I.D.I.O.T if you accept the rubbish that a President of a REPUBLIC can delegate his duties at the rate Rupiah Banda is doing it if s/he wants. If we accept a “goat”, what next? An IMBACILE?????

  63. It is very true that a president is always receiving invitations to visit this and that country, but not all invitations are supposed to be accepted. Even comparing how many foreign presidents have visited Zambia, you find that very few have. Bingu wa Mutharika, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, Hifikepunye Pohamba, none of these, apart from the paedophilic King M’swati and some Chinese deputy prime minister have visited Zambia. JZ visited before he was officially made president. Umukalamba is still in his diplomatic mode ulwalwendela. Maybe he should be made United Nations Secretary General so that it should not be strange traveling travelling.

  64. #78 Fumbi. When HERB went to Malawi a few weeks ago, he went to discuss Chinese investments in Malawi with President Bingu wa Mutharika. Maybe the man is now a salesman for the Chinese.

  65. #56 Zodie, how can we develop with such thinking sure?? Very wrong concepts about what success means. Drinking mosi pa nkongole, borrowing a finished fourh-hand car from japan, going to Kabulonga to spread or collect sexually transmitted diseases from a woman, watching Man U mu bar because you can’t afford DSTV monthly subscriptions, and what is Kabulonga? Anyway when you live in Bauleni compound all you envy is Kabulonga. Poor man wallowing in poverty.

  66. zodie ala lishilu.but on a sad note, that is typical of zambians.when i was visiting zed pa dec,a debate started at a bar i was drinking from.these poor civil servant were so deffensive of RB that i could not believe my ears.and just there in front of us was a gravel road so bad that the forth hand cars to quote a blogger were strugggling to move.this is at chris corner.i asked them how come they accepted that .his answer was very similar to zodie-you guys in diaspora think you are rich,he went on to say the world over things were the same.can u imagine someone thinking that the situation in zambia is not different from the rest of the world.so zodie iam not suprised.and yes RB might have got a job as a sales man .after all the zambian dont give a damn.

  67. Tiye timwe tisangalale, olo balabile niliye nao nchito (come on lets drink and be merry, even if they talk i dont give a monkeys azz) thats RB for you,,,you can talk as much as you want,he will always make a trip whenever an opportunity arises
Nine Chale’s comments are quiet unfortunate,he’s only human after all

  68. #11 & 15 Nine Chale,

Your comparison of Banda to those men you mentioned is irrelevant and childish. We are concerned about our country, NOT Congo, Ghana, etc.. Of what benefit were Mobutu’s travels to Zambia? Our country is in a mess and that is what we should do something about.

  69. unbelievable. This man is taking us all for a flight of fancy. He is guilty of misuse of public funds and should be called to account. I never thought i would say this, but I HATE OUR PRESIDENT. I for one thought he should be given a chance to lead but he has failed us the people and our country. Please 2011 come and God forbid anyone rig the elections. I will be so glad to see the back of this government. Leave already!!!

  70. # 15 Nine Chale……Looks like L T blogger of the year award can be a burden sometimes . People watch you like a hawk..!…Most of us do get away with writing crap , but i see you have very little room to manoeuvre.
….# 56 Zodie Dube …..If i have to mop up vomit to earn money so i can support my relatives back home , then, so be it . That’s the reason i’m doing it. So i can pay school fees for my nephews and nieces, who otherwise would not have any other chance in life. So i can support my sick elderly mother who has suffered because she waited years for her terminal benefits and with no income was facing destitution .
And if you are educated with a non pathetic job , what’s so special about shoes from New York..?

  71. :((:((:(( haven’t blogged in a while, 😮 ,…its amazing that RB travels like he does, [-([-([-( and all the reason to flash the red card..i pray that we have a new rulin party in 2011..otherwise we are doomed

  72. #86, jematek:

Not everything RB does or should do is bad. That’s not what people are angry about. Just like a glass of water is good for your health, a presidential trip, once in a while, for some important foreign engagements is good and vital to Zambia as we can not live in isolation. But, just like drinking excess much water is called “drowning” and can actually kill you, RB’s trips are too excessive for a poor country like Zambia to sustain. And these trips are “drowning” our little economy and, quite frankly, killing his presidency—-you can trust me on this one!!

  73. Ba RB, despite the complaints over your recent trip to China you still decided to go to Namibia? I would expect this behaviour of not wanting to sit down and do some work from a teenager not from you. Do you think you can win the elections with this kind of attitude?

  74. Others go to such functions and back to their countries the same day. RB is an embarrassment of a president, he behaves like impotent husbands who always look for reasons to stay away from their wives.

  75. I am sure Sata wishes it was himself in the air with his first lady. RB’s travels show that he is able to relate to fellow statesmen. You are not welcome anywhere if you cannot relate to others. On a serious note, if you are able to assemble a good team, your job is simply to supervise and give strategic direction. I think that this fellow RB is a very well organised administrator. Those bloggers who have been or seen top administrators at work will understand this. But of course to expect kaponyas and their leaders to understand this concept is expecting too much. The problem is that kaponyas are judging RB by their own standards due to a lack of capacity to understand issues.

  76. By the way most people admire those who travel very often, just the thought of flying makes them green with envy. But let me assure you that travelling and flying in particular are not all that rosy. It is quite a stressful exercise travelling for meetings, particularly meetings on matters of state. Leisure travel is quite different. I hope that reassures our travel critics.

  77. Government can you please purchase some Video Conference equipment at statehouse, maybe that way Mr. Presido can spend at least a week in Zambia
    **==

  78. Useless president together with his kaboi Zodie Dube ati “I’ll drink Mosi and drive to Kabulonga…’ we chipuba we.

  79. I feel sorry for RB’S young children abena Duniya, he is never there for his kids. Whats so special about this inauguration? people in sinazongwe need all the help they can get. The money used for gasing that Challenger could have been used for the flood victims. Red Card ba Mudala, stay there don’t come back.

  80. To # 56 Dube: Zambians in the diaspora are the most educated migrant group according to UN statistics, as only the cream comes over. If you think fuel shortages, power cuts, pot holes, flooded roads, water shortages, shanty compounds, 4th hand cars, salaula, wall fences, poor schools and hospitals, etc, are “normal”, then you have only lived in Zambia all your life. Please do some travelling

  81. #105 Multi Million, tell the Dube Chipuba who is probably a civil servant with his snout in the trough that we’ve genuine mortgages, pay what is due and enjoy life without looking over our shoulders for either the Auditor General, the ACC or DEC coming for us. Fwe bambi we even have Diasporan citizenship. Chikashala muli ata chiDube Chipuba.

  82. I do not think there are enough words in the vocaburary of any language to describe this man’s frightening level of irresponsibility. We are a poor nation with very limited resources and how he could spend all the time in office on completely useless trips abroad of zero benefit to the nation is most vexing indeed. This is Hifikepunye’s second term and it would have been well in order to send either George Kunda or Kabinga Panda to represent us. If there was a very valid case for impeachment because of irresponsibility, THIS IS IT!

  83. any zambian responses? no. i thought so. some of you chaps cant even afford to come home. i do travel. I was in the US, italy, UK and SA. I am a mining specialist. degree and so forth. i own my car, no monthly payments. i watch in a bar with my friends because i enjoy suppoting with my friends. i have broadband internet at home. the only bills i get are zesco and dstv, the borehole works fine. you see, i want a zambian in zambia to respond, not some of u failures in the diaspora. i commend all my brethren who are educated and making money who come home to contribute. not some of you useless armchair critics who jus type pathetic replies while eating noodles and jam sandwiches. i am the reason you left, you saw me excelling in a competitive climate and couldnt understand why i am doing wel

  84. so please, pay rent, if you can afford, pay taxes which they will send to support zambia and buy all your necessities on your over drawn credit cards. you chaps dont vote, so you can cry when the results come out. here some suffer, as they do any where else, and people prosper. some of you your fathers died to send you where you are but u failed. others your sister who is a nurse jus sent u a ticket. other stole money and run away. others are on scholarship. sadly by the time you come back you will be fogoten. mosi is a great beer. kabulonga? a great area. stay in chamboli or chawama. not me, i have to make some more money to build a bedsitter for your youngg brother who u send western union to, to rent. buy a ticket. buy now! your broke,ka?lol. next time. this is zambia. this is reality

  85. no rich parents.. i just passed grade 12, went to unza, got a degree and got a job. i was on BC. got paid, made moves, made money, made connections. now im ok. people suffer as in everywhere. …
now back to RB in Nambia….
as a leader, depending on his responsibilities, he may have to be there. have you googled his appointments in SADC or AU or other pan african groupings? maybe he was chosen to delegate. there is always a cost. if Mwanawasa was too sick to travel or FTJ to busy politcking, dont just make comments without research. make balanced comments. an opinion is your right, but lets be intelligent. otherwise you will comment when a human breathes. be progressive. i like the comments concerning delegation or maybe a round trip combined. not the useless brainless gibberish. grow…

  86. i will ask an MP to table a bill to let you expatriates vote. even then some you wont know who to vote for, chipimo or ngondo. maybe miyanda. you can do a red card campaign. dont over do it. there the police dont play, they may run your plates and get you deported back to john howard, zingalume or msisi. its wild.lol. have a good day. need to email some chinese…….

  87. Five trips are already planned. Chechnya, four days, Bhutan, 3 days, Tajikstan, 6 days, Mongolia, four days and then to the moon for good!

  88. #108 Zodie Dube,
You are a pathetic liar fantasying about being a graduate and a mining engineer. No one that has been to school talks such rubbish. I even suspect you are a foreigner. I feel sorry for you because you seem to have an advanced mental illness. You are possibly one of the many products of corruption and a beneficiary of the massive plunder. Enjoy it while it lasts, soon you will make your jaloppy your living quarters.

  89. Zodie is an example of a person who may be ‘educated’ but still remains unwise, unsocialised and
generally of limited intellectual abilities. The person cannot think beyond what he can smell. International law allows for persons all over the world to travel anywhere and sell their labour as need
be. We are in a global society, free to make choices – it doesn’t even matter what one does, as long
as its legal, noble and what one deems useful to themselves and those they relate to. Being in a foreign country does also not preclude one from criticising the ongoings in their mother country. Sometimes one may even understand things better from that vantage point. There is hardly any country which has all its citizens living within. Why should all Zambians be in Zambia?

  90. Fashion Phiri. I like my cousins’ names.

There’s too much power in the presidency in Zambia. Until some of this power is trimmed, Zambians are powerless to stop the president burning tax payers’ money on unprofitable travels. His travel budget must be big. You probably can build a number of schools from it.

  91. #117 please ignore the Loser it is not worth it
Today when i was coming for work along Independence Avenue i found the usual soldier Guard for RB
Can someone confirm if he is back he was supposed to come tmoro Tuesday limbi bali belenga ama blogs

  92. @Zodie Dube, im deeply disappointed, disgusted and perplexed by the amount of ignorance and nonsensical comments exhibited in your childish and foolish bragging you are blogging, which to me only exposes your true self, that in fact you are just a nobody trying to talk big of yourself on internet..there are people with real achievements and success in life not the idiocy and seemingly lavish life style you are painting.Busy listing countries and things like cars, bore hole, dont pay rent,e.t.c only exposes you as a foolish person who grew up from the village and not as an intellectual.Plz debate about real issues thats what this forum is all about. i pity you. floods in chawama, relocations, threats by GRZ officials, bad roads&congestions, poor heath facilities while RB is flying around.Shame

  93. Looks like RB is in wrong places at wrong times!:-w What can we use to tie this man down home? He hhas decided not to see. Can Peter Levy Opticians give him spectacles for clear vision of what is happening at home! Can the Itailan Zambia Hospital fix his wondering legs so that they not stray to far!

mwe bantu, could these movements be good byes to fellow Leaders?!#:-s Mm mm Baba twalema sure.

  94. 😮 Again he is going out! Damn this man, well we always say that it is impossible to teach an OLD DOG new tricks! We have tourists in Govt who busy galavanting, the man is simply avoiding issues affecting the nation because he has no idea how to deal with them! Shame on him!

  95. #108 Ba Zodie, let me go CB on your A.S.S, MWILA TUKAUKA TAPALI EFYOLI WESAKA WE. If you where an educated person you wouldn’t be talking about such nonsense, chi shushushu ukulaitutumuna pa Lusakatimes kolwe iwe.

  96. complaints, complaints, complaints….where are the solutions. you have proved you are pathetic arm chair critics.to some it is bragging, to others it is stating the facts. this morning on BBC, we hear there were terrible hail storms in Perth. an average weeks rainfall fell in 3 hours, causing blackouts and floods.(similar example msisi, chawama) im sure if you have traveled further than the little apartments you rent, e.g. dar es salaam, traffic is terrible at rush hour.(similar to lusaka and the kitwe-chingola road) and we have weird presidents (such as jacob zuma). now, what is the way forward?
it starts from your home, the way you relate and affect your environment. all you do is criticise. even as our country went down, you went abroad for greener pastures.

  97. Zodie Dube i think bamudala namupena, i suggest you go get some water from your borehole, drink and sleep. You are not maaking any sense in what you write.

  98. Ba Zodie, i think you are drinking contaminated water from your borehole!! Sewerage from your septic tank is seeping into your borehole.
    Namupena bakamba!!! :d
