Firstly, I agree that the First Lady makes a good picture in sport. In fact it does not even look like a PR act because one can see that she’s obviously enjoying it. Keep it up TB!
Secondly, I also agree that some of these pics have been “recycled” – I recall pic #12 with the Angolan refugees.
Lastly, it is always nice to see the civil servants paying hommage to their traditional leaders. It reminds me of a verse I read in Church yesterday: ” I exhort therefore, that…supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men. For Kings and for all that are in authority; that we may live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

I have been an ardent soccer “player” and fan but must confess that the “vuvuzela” iz alien to the Zambian mode of supporting teamz. It works well for our South African friendz but should we just copy? What happened to the drum-beating at Independence, Nchanga, Nkana, Shinde, Railway groundz to mention but a few?

Picture #2: Great move Thandie in a Kalusha style. All Thandie did was to push the ball on the left side of the opponent (some minister’s wife who was beaten to the ball). Then the First Lady zoomed round the oponent and passed the ball to Chifire – deputy minister for information who unfortunately shot over the cross bar!!!!!! What a miss!!
