Zambia has better leaders than RB- Father Bwalya

Share

Father Bwalya
Change Life Zambia has charged that Zambia is capable of being lead by better leaders than the current president Rupiah Banda.
Father Bwalya said the sentiments by certain sections of society that the opposition is not yet ready to rule the nation are disappointing, stating that the nation is ready for that.

He noted that Zambia needs a leadership that would be able to inspire a lot of people unlike what is being obtained at the moment.

He explained that Zambians needs leadership that would move the citizens in realizing the developmental vision.

Father Bwalya added that the type of leadership has been lacking in the current government being led by the Movement for Multi party Democracy (MMD).

The change life Zambia warned that if Zambians are not careful, the country would keep on going backwards.

The Father said that it is high time Zambians got fade up with the people that are not delivering developmental ideas in the country.

He has also maintained that the story that was carried out in the media that he has been disowned by the Catholic Church was misleading.

He said that government should desist from using state media to report on non-factual issues.

The change Life Zambia executive director further called on government to address the challenges being faced in the police service rather than concentrating on politicking.

He was speaking on Monday Nite Live On QFM last evening.

  1. What he means is that the only leader who should be president of Zambia is somebody who is Bemba. What does he mean when he says that the country is ‘moving backwards’? Sata better than RB – I dont think so!

  2. Father you too are a bad leader. You caused confusion at radio liseli in barotse when you started playing only bemba and nyanja on that radio station. Thankfully marotse dont like no sense they deported form their land. Shame on yuo. Just go and wank, you sexually starved bastard.

  3. “Father Bwalya said the sentiments by certain sections of society that the opposition is not yet ready to rule the nation are disappointing, stating that the nation is ready for that.”

Well who in the opposition then?

“The change life Zambia warned that if Zambians are not careful, the country would keep on going backwards.”

Do you have irrefutable verifiable evidence to support this claim? I would love to see it.

  4. I have never heard any specific policy suggestion from pastor Bwalya. Instead of sayng Govnt need to solve the challenges can the pastor explain the exact challenges he is talking about and the required policy interventions? This is the same sickness that has attacked those that believe in the 90 day economic miracle of no tax, no school/medical fees and more money in your pocket and at the bank all within 90days. heaven on earth in 90 days.

  5. This is just a confused priest. A reject by his own Church. Why hide in the title of a Priest when your actions are not idicating any character of a good priest. Abash Useless priest.!!!

  6. Genocidal walya, you are right when you say there are better leaders, than RB. But if you mean by better you are referring to an ex convict, sister banger, adulterous, third term supporter, master mind in chawama hackings, ever changing positions on chinese, has never held a democratic election in his party, recently denounced mwanawasa for coming to his aid at a time of need, then I doubt there are better leaders than RB. Face it, walya, RB represents a lot of good than evil in comparison to the current opposition crop. RB is the face of unity and peace that prevails in Zambia today. I see nothing wrong in Banda, but a lot more evil in Sata. Yet thy royal priest man can only see one thing in Sata which overshadows all other deeds. That Sata is BEMBA.Period! For that I can never support U!

  7. #8 (CHANGE TO WHAT) chi colour cho. do not say such rubish again. i know you very well. be careful. you will be in shit soon. watch your back

  8. Those opposed to Fr Bwalya’s view are obviously in support of Rupiah’s leadership. What blind b.u.g.g.e.rs. Theres a ditch right in front you, but you are oblivious to it. S.t.u.p.i.d suckers.

  9. I support red card but this is too much bla from you Fr. Bwalya. Lets be more objective than just blabbering anyhow. How does making this statement help Zambia? Will today be better by your statement? Yes MMD and RB have no plan for the nation so lets keep saying 2011 we remove them through elections. Unfortunately your statement just falls short of illegality because R Bee is legally there and cannot be removed by any unconstitutional means (yes, which you are not fostering). Just keep in mind the focus to say HOW each SPECIFIC policy of MMD has failed and is failing the country.
Better leadership? whats the alternative? Aw, your campaign is too close to an opposition party and too close to illegal government removal… meaning you too hot Fr. Frank.

  10. Fr Bwalya doesnt not tell us the opposition leader he is supporting and what is even shocking is his call for leadership that can inspire.I really want an inspiring leader but the Fr doesnt mention this inspiring leader who is by far better than RB.Tell us Fr,is it you?

  11. The good Father should be reminded about what the good book ( Bible) says. Forgive is the key word. Why can’t the good Father arrange an audience with RB and sort out their differences? Looks like there is hate for RB from him. We all love Sata, despite all past negatives. We love RB and you too. All we would want to see is a fair ground for all of us to vote in accordance with universal sufrage norms and I believe we will come up with one leader who we should look to for guidance. And #9 my humble appeal to you is exercise restraint and say in such a way that it is not vougor. May God Almighty Bless U All.

  12. You see, he just gets a podium and does not give facts and figures just, this is worng, that is wrong fonyoo, fonyoo fyonooonyo. How is Zambia moving backwards when enlightend economists are saying there is growth in the economy. ?. this tribalist priest preaching anarchy just because RB is not bemba is a danger to to Zambia.

  13. The father and # 9 need repetence! # 9 you are disgusting! It is you and your fellow kaponya priest who will take this country backwards if by default you allowed to run the affairs of this country. I very well know that the Almighty God will not fail us and shall deliver us from your soiled hands.

  14. Mr. Bwalya, you are right when you say Zambia has better leaders that RB. That statement though unproven can turn out to be correct. However, if by a better leader you mean your uncle Satana then it is a big NO. Or if by that better leadership you are placing your wayward self as an alternative then you need psychological or psychiatric help and soonest. Wake up mudala and accept that even if he is not your tribesman, Arabee is your President and will continue being so till 2016. Your uncle meanwhile will soon die an agonising death regretting all the way to his maker for failure to get his most coveted prize. Wake up Mr. Bwalya.

  15. Brother Patili, I like your courage but come up with something tangible now.

What are your goals? Are you headed for a political career or are you an armchair critic?

  16. Shimwalule
Ulichipumbu. Why are you bring BEMBAS in bwalya’s Issue? Does bwalya a Bemba spokesperson. You are too tribalist. What tribe are? I think all the Zambian tribes are good pipo only some individuals like you. Come on guys what do you think about uncivilise SHIMWALULE

  17. This is just disgusting that a father can act like this. There is a saying in the west that pretty much says a Bemba child grows up to be a BEMBA man regardless of where he is. You thug you want SATA, never going to happen, Trust Me a Bemba wont rule this country again- mark my words. Even in forming the PACT do you think those people in the south will go for a Bemba just coz of that Hichilema chap? – NEVER!!!!!! Neither will North Western Support of UPND translate into support for that thug!!!!!!!!!

  18. If a leadership isn’t good or performing badly, in a democratic country like ours we have general elections every five years unless a president dies in office. Advocating to remove a legitimate gov’t before its mandated time is promoting anarchy, what sort of priest promotes anarchy? Father Bwalya is better of debating issues and putting his views across in a more civilised manner befitting modern times.

  19. WHEN people are in leadership, they are expected to show exemplary conduct for their followers to emulate. And being in leadership is not all about being in government but is about having a position of influence be it in the opposition, corporate world or elsewhere.

In fact, since those in the opposition are the ones aspiring for national leadership, it becomes imperative for them to do all they can to show compelling credentials to those whom they intend to lead.

In this regard, we record our disappointment with the way Lusaka businessman Geoffrey Mwamba reacted to the seizure of his property over a debt he owed the Food Reserve Agency (FRA)

Mr Mwamba, who is also Patriotic Front (PF) member of Parliament for Kasama Central, obtained a K522 million loan from the FRA in 1998 but…

  20. Mr Mwamba, who is also Patriotic Front (PF) member of Parliament for Kasama Central, obtained a K522 million loan from the FRA in 1998 but had failed to pay back causing the amount to grow to K2.4 billion plus interest charges.

Mr Mwamba is not the only defaulter whom the FRA has pursued for debt recovery, nor will he be the last one.

However, so far Mr Mwamba is the only one who has made a melodramatic reaction to the FRA’s debt recovery action, which the agency is mandated to do because it is not a charitable organisation dishing out money for free.

  21. #9 My brother ( .:) ) , where is the rubbish in my statement?Am I lieing? Am I telling half truths in that statement? Do not restrict yourself to insults, elaborate LT gives you a lot of charcaters, am sure you have not exhausted them in that post, come again my brother. So I educate you and Walya further. Infact, my post at #8 is very true, even #18 has expressed similar sentiments. So apply your grey matter to reason and not insults. For I stand by my post at #8. Prove me wrong if you can.

  22. While we acknowledge the fact that Mr Mwamba on Sunday pledged to immediately pay back the money, in our view, it would have been better for him to have made the payment without unleashing a prolonged bombastic preamble about how insignificant that amount was compared to his personal fortune.
Mr Mwamba gave an elaborate account of his personal wealth, detailing the number of buses he owns and the value of the car he drives.

No one has any dispute with Mr Mwamba’s personal fortune. However, instead of him delving into the micro-composition of his wealth and declaring specific assets, he should have prioritised settlement of the K522 million loan instead of allowing it to grow to a point where it became a contentious issue.

Furthermore, Mr Mwamba should not have introduced a…

  23. Furthermore, Mr Mwamba should not have introduced a political dimension to his debt problem by throwing Agriculture Minister Peter Daka into the equation and accusing him of pressuring the FRA to recover its money.

When Mr Mwamba obtained the loan in 1998, he did not complain about politics when the money was released. Therefore, we wonder how politics can now colour a purely commercial transaction in which the FRA is seeking what belongs to it.

In fact, all long-outstanding monies owed to the FRA do not just negatively affect its operations but exert a collective punishment on farmers who suffer because of delayed payments.

  24. Ironically, the same people who criticise government the loudest about perceived poor agricultural policies are the ones who owe FRA huge amounts and are the ones who cry foul the longest, when made to pay.

These are the double standards which people should be mindful about when they scrutinise those who address them with sugar-coated speeches about delivering development within unrealistic timeframes.

  25. Dido
Pliz dont bring tribe issue. Does pipo of N. Westrn represents Zedian never. Be civilised no tribe sentments. Some of us are half cust. not like you Kamushi

  26. What a way to concede brother John #30….Father bwalya for president, we will avoid a genocide that way because he will then start behaving responsibly.

  27. I did not know that our generation people can still talk about tribes- wahh napapa sana- in zambia we marry in all corners of zambia. Guys, wake up, forget about tribes- it is one zambia and this is what we have always being. Bemba, lozi Toga, Mabwe name them we are one- muliba fotini sana guys. Long time ago please

  28. This man seems to be confused. On one hand he talks about governance (because Chiluba was acquited, he assumes RB is corrupt) and on the other hand he talks about development issues. Surely, is ther any sane Zambian right now whose thinking parts are in his skull and not somewhere else say that Zambia is worse off now than it was in 1991? Yes, we are not where we should be, but we are not where we were. It is politics touted by his kind that are delaying progress in Zambia. Day and day out, megaJoules of energy are spent on talk, insults and slander, when all that could be channelled into progressive suggestions for development. It is true, that there are better people than RB who can lead, but this is true in every country in the world. But, you do not pass an exam to be President.

  29. I listened to the all programme on Q Fm. LT just picked on few poor points. Fr Bwalya made alot of meaniful points justifying exactly what a red card stands for e.g Poor governance, persecuting those who oppose MMD, Poor infrastrature and so on, luck of government to address the queries raised in Auditors report and so on.

  30. Some of you bloggers have your heads stuck in your a**’s that you have no idea what is happening. Since when have you ever heard Fr B say he is pf/upnd? when? All he has said is there people in Zambia that can make good leaders, he didnt mention Sata or HH.

  31. There are more than 400 million people in the USA but they still have to come up with ONE President. Doubtless, there are better people than Obama, Bush, Clinton etc. but when the decision is finally made by the people, a true democrat will accept the result and respect in humility, the decision of the majority. What Father Bwalya is doing is not worthy of a follower of Jesus Christ. Christ did not approve of what was going on in the Temple but he respected the institution of the priesthood, otherwise he would not have told the 10 leppers to go show themselves to the priest. Apostle Paul apologised when he reviled a High Priest who had slapped him. Father Bwalya, humble yourself and accept the providence of God in his appointments. Vox populi, vox Dei.

  32. This is an insult to all the Zambians who voted for RB. Father Bwalya has just spat on their faces. This egoism is dangerous and unfortunately it is being exhibited by so many people who have the megaphone to speak to the masses in Zambia. HH is just as pompous and full of himself. This is a far cry from the politicians of yesteryear who were willing to follow what the people chose. Zambia’s first cabinet had the first Zambian barrister, degree holders and more educated people than KK. but they were all willing to be led by another. The Chiluba administration too had Professors, PhD holders etc, but they all stooped to allow one to lead. Now you have a man who has never known what it means to work and earn his bread, or look after family, saying things like this! It is not on.

  33. Yesterday I monitored QFM nite line program on which they hosted excommunicated Priest Frank Bwalya’s talking his call for a b-l-o-o-d-y Zambia unless 2011 outcome is on tribal standard. He said it’s his choice or Die Zambia. What a cult. The anarchical hatred and illogical debate was only saved by an intelligent QFM moderator who asked him tough. It was a theatrical fantasy. Thanks God Zambia has seen a Head of state that values engaging others through shared meaning, is teaching and, in turn, listening. In his Governance is being an interactive leader, one who is enlisting as well as commanding with human dignity, and one who is capable of mobilizing the best in people through shared vision.

  34. Take it or leave it, RB as an exposed educated internationalists knows that Integrity is about knowing what you stand for – possessing a strong moral compass – and having the courage of your convictions; he knows that it is a process of self-knowledge that provides a core identity and a spine that remains strong even when circumstances demand that you adapt. It’s his people skills type of leadership and integrity that is keeping his leader ship relevant to this country against his opposing hollow dissembler of a leaf in the wind.

  35. “Poor Infrastructure” okay, i said this somewhere It took Kaunda from 1964 to around 1975 to do all the infrastructure between 1975 and 1999 there was no maintenance, Chiluba tried with the help of IMF/WORLD BANK to do some repair, but that is also needs repair now. How do you repair infrastructure was took almost stayed 20 years without repair in 3 years, I mean RB 3 year. WE shall see if any government will manage to do all the infrastructure in 5 years all over the country especially that the have sleeping councils RUN by PF

  36. bwalya.. i missed! i wish was in jail at the same time with you. Am sure you know what my name means… i would have taught you some good love, i mean “into your backside”!, its seems you can’t find the word love in the holy bible:-\”

  37. Father Bwalya wrecked havoc in Ndola Diocese. O’regon was forced out.Bishop Alick Banda came in. Now I am told the fall out continues as Alick Banda, an anti MMD man, continues to clean the Diocese so that only anti MMD Priests remain. Because of what he has achieved in the Catholic Church ( creation of a total mess up) , Frank Bwalya thinks he can wreck the country. In 1970s RB was a Foreign Minister, meeting all sorts of characters good and bad, I think that is when he mustered the art of engagement. I doubt that Frank Bwalya and Alick Banda can bring RB down- time will tell!

  38. #39, Religion and politics can work together, or as you put it even “mix.” But Church and State can’t. Don’t mix the two. The latter are institutions while the former aint. Christians can vote and do politics, or unless you are a “Jehovah’s weakness” who don’t believe in that, the church as an institution can not be inv in politics.Thank you.

  39. Father Bwalya is right, there are certainly better leaders than RB, Just like there are better Fathers than Father Bwalya himself.. This is a fact the difference between the two is that RB is practising his profession while father Bwalya has abandoned his. Am not sure what profession he is trying to adopt or acquire? Lenshina had a reasonably good following who sincerely believed the cult to the extent that they would accept to drink human urine… For those who were very young to remember this.. I want to assure you it is not a fairy tale.

  40. # 45 Madetsa Woyela
I remeber that time when the muzugu Fr was harrassed and chased from the church by Frank Bwalya.
    thats when he smelt power.

  41. There is no passion to be found playing small-in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. Zambians should not settle for less(MMD), we deserve more. So MMD has had its chance let somebody else takeover.

  42. #20 I dont hate Bembas as I am half Bemba, what I HATE are tribalists priests who want to bring anarchy in our Motherland. Bwalya has no mandate and his red card ‘campaign’ will end in the same as the impeachment proposed by the alduteror Satana.

  43. Ba senior citizen even if its promoting Rupiah, mwati nifi, Each time you blog you bring out C.R.A.P. We are not the uninitiated, some of us grew up at the time when Rupiah was in some role or other. Come on the man failed in all his roles. Even now its all clear to see, he has failed in this one.
Zambia is going nowhere for as long as he is at the helm. Its not that we don’t like the man, its simply because he has failed to deliver and has made some of the worst decision’s. What are the chances that the man will reform and pull zambia out of the current mess? ZERO.

  44. father bwalya requires prayers. the media gives him a platform to express himself. seems he is a hot topic.his hatred for RB is unfounded. the auditor generals report was on a govt led by levy, not RB. he shud push for development, because he did, he would take our country forward, not a vacuum so that any rat can take power. father bwalya, i know you read this blog, god is watchin you. fight for development and not for hatred. all the riches you will acquires will mean nothing when you meet god.

  45. I wonder what Father Bwalya will be doing in the post RB era. I hope he is already thinking of casting is net much wider.

  46. Every time a leader vacates office, there is and will always be a replacement. 46 years of independence should not that tell us how that we as a country are senior now? On the other hand, I have read the criticism over president Banda and some opposition leaders want him to hurry up to develop the country. He needs time to do so. The opposition don’t have to wait until they are in State House, they can show us an example by running the Councils in which they are the majority. I don’t think I have seen much from them. They like politicking! If their leaders are Kaponya style, their politics will be the same level even they won the elections.

  47. Bwalya is an illuminati, a loosed canon by the “church” to create chaos. This “church” is out to bring a new world order, by having their stooges the, illuminati and freemasons heading world governments.NO conspiracy, just google ‘Lusaka illuminati’.

  48. #36, Whom are you kidding? The article clearly quotes “father” walya as saying that “…. the sentiments by certain sections of society that the opposition is not yet ready to rule the nation are disappointing, stating that the nation is ready for that……”. Surely opposition in this case can only mean PF or UPND and that is Sata or HH. It further states “……He noted that Zambia needs a leadership that would be able to inspire a lot of people unlike what is being obtained at the moment”. Now I don’t know, but I think the reference to “an inspring leadership” refers to Sata. Indeed from what we have learnt about the Catholic connection, this can only be Sata. So what are you talking about #36? Read and put things in context man!

  49. “father” walya magazi, who doesn’t know you by now? Yes of course there are better leaders in Zambia than Rupiah Banda. But you would have to interview all 12 million of us Zambians to identify the best leader. However, if you are referring to Sata, no he comes at the bottom of the list unless your selection criterion is tribal relationship.

By the way, hasn’t the Vatican counsel to Archbishop Telesphore come down to you?

  50. #9 Kafupi and #10 pompwe, you are full of crap, dont think that by being in the US or UK you have have more knowledge than us.Probably we have better education than you bastards wiping buts and serving burgers at burger King and we have also been to those countries by the way. Sata will never rule Zambia with that attitude, even the foolish priest Bwalya is a misfit in the society.Even if i dont support RB 100%, Sata is a wrong chap for plot 1 in our era.

  51. Why are Zambians so emotional & childish?! thats why that country will take ages to develop because we have too many children running around in adult bodies! you are so fixated on worthless issues like tribe, tongue & status to actually address the real issues that plague our beloved country! If Father Bwalya believes in what he believes in, who are you to tell him its wrong?! And as someone said, he did not mention any particular person so stop concluding! He has a democratic right to voice his opinions, deal with it suckers!!!
