Seizure of GBM’s building not political, Shikapwasha

Share

Government has refuted assertions by Kasama central Patriotic Front Member of Parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba commonly known as GBM that the seizure of his building by Food Reserve Agency is political.

The Food Reserve Agency has seized Mr Mwamba’s building which also house the Patriotic Front secretariat on Luanshya road after a court order for his failure to settle the date he owes the Agency.

Chief Government spokesperson Lieutenant General Ronnie Shikapwasha told Q fm in an interview that government has nothing to do with FRA’s decision to seize Mr. Mwamba’s property.

He since called on Mr Mwamba to simply pay his debts his property to be returned back to him.

LT Gen Shikapwasha expressed shock that Mr. Mwamba has decided to blame government over his failure to pay the debts he owes the FRA.

He said it is the market demand that allows every citizen to pay what is due to Food Reserve Agency.

  1. Its political. Why didn’t this happen 4years ago when GBM was in MMD and the said property was used as offices for MMD? General at some point in time you will find yourself on the opposing side and you will be the victim just like GBM what goes around comes around General.

  2. if it is not political why is shpwapwasha commenting? He is a politician and everything that comes out of his …….. mouth is political

  3. :-?:-?:-?:-?:-?:-? Pandora Box opened…. Let Every Government official Pay Back What they Owe FRA….And can FRA Seize From All Those Owing, especially if they are In Government…Am sure its not GBM Only, Whose Affected….. :o:o:o Damn ANIMAL FARM!!!!

  4. We know it is political that is how zambian politics are conducted that is why we dont see any development in our country

  5. Mr. Shikapwasha, GBM in his response to the FRA’s action also made other observations and charges, including that you personally, and others in the MMD and the MMD as a whole have been previous beneficiaries of his wealth and he wondered why the MMD had not taken similar action when it occupied the same premises with the full knowledge that he owed the FRA that amount of money even at that time. But, in you usual shallow biased way, decided to choose and pick what to respond to! Any intelligent person worth the title “General” or “Reverend” would have responded to the totality of GBM’s reaction to the FRA’s action. But not you. Which makes me wonder out aloud: How in God’s creation did you ever rise to be commander of the Zambian Air Force with an IQ at par with that of…

  6. CONT’D…. But not you. Which makes me wonder out aloud: How in God’s creation did you ever rise to be commander of the Zambian Air Force with an IQ at par with that of a common housefly? In many ways it is a reflection upon those who appointed you in the first place. Past and present. As many have pointed out, it is hard to believe ZRA suddenly woke up this wee to realized they needed to enforce a Court judgement handed down years ago. Soon you will be called to account. Soon.

  7. life will be wonderful because some of you will be in big S.HI.T after MMD is out of power. home shikapwasha you are sending some money to USA for us to keep for you or else they will put you in trouble. start sending now. call me for my account number. am not joking and never say they never told me.

  8. “Rev” Shikapwasha, You have left out your comments regarding your personal issue. Could you please clarify on the following,

“Mwamba said he was too powerful to be destroyed by Daka and Shikapwasha. He said Shikapwasha had forgotten that he and his wife campaigned for him in Kembe constituency.

“Has he forgotten which office the former first lady sent him to when former Minister of Home Affairs Luckson Mapushi died in a road traffic accident?” Mwamba asked. “My wife and I gave Shikapwasha K10 million and we also gave them bags of mealie-meal and we spent our time campaigning for him and I even bought a new car for that purpose. Has he forgotten that?””

  9. #So, because GBM did that he should be allowed to steal?? It is okay for GBM to talk about other people who owe FRA but that does not mean his debt should be erased.

  10. This general sounds like an old record. same Unip Vibes , So boring. He reminds me of the song Tiyende Pamodzi !!

  11. Thats the way Bwezani and Shikapwasha do politics in Zambia if you are not with them then you become the target. Can Shikapwasha tell the nation if it was ONLY GBM who was owing FRA money and there are no MMD ministers with no debts to FRA? Zambian politics are so cheap and childish at the same time.

  12. This case has been in court for over 5 years.

The court ruled in governments favour in january this year.

    This is not political.

    It is business!

  13. If the brother is broke, he is broke!

    Rich people dont boast.

If anything, they try by all means to hide their wealth.

Why did GBM house PF in a building whose future was to be decided by the court?

This is a political ploy to avoid paying FRA what is owed to it.

The bugger should just pay up and stop playing games.

I’m told Stanbic are about to foreclose on his busses because of non-payment.

    Is this political too?

  14. GBM is desperate!

He is using politics to try and avoid paying debts. By being in the opposition, he intends to politicize his failure to pay his debts. As we stand, his debts are much greater than the value of his assets.

    This guy is genuinely broke!

To top it off, he spent bus cashings to fund PF’s rallies instead of paying back the bank. Now they will come for him and he will cry foul.

Then you wonder why Zambians are rarely given loans.

  15. Ba GBM ba kamba, bwesheni inkongole mwatusebanya.Given Lubinda should not have attended that press briefing. Its PF politisizing the issue. Why didnt he instruct his junior accountant to pay earlier?#18 thumbs up, abakali tabalanda just pay up or dance the tune shaaaaaaaa!

  16. #8 red card chenda bwamba, professionally Shika reached the level of Commander of the ZAF, what about you Sir, what station in life have you reached? If Shika has gone higher than you, then it is not in doubt who between the two of you has the brain of a housefly.
