Red card campaign is total madness – RB

Share

Father Bwalya
Fr. Frank Bwalya

Republican president Rupiah Banda has described the red card campaign being spearheaded by Change Life Zambia executive director Fr. Frank Bwalya as total madness.

President Banda said that he will not be disrupted by the campaigns that seek to disturb his distribution of developments in the country. He added that Fr. Bwalya is no longer a Catholic priest and that the red card campaign, which he described as nonsense, will not go anywhere.

Speaking on the Copperbelt on Tuesday, President Banda expressed happiness that the people there have rejected the red card campaign. He stated that the red card campaign will not take Fr. Bwalya anywhere but will just bring chaos.

And President Banda says that he will never be worried about the United Party for National Development and Patriotic Front pact. He has expressed confidence that he will do far much better than the pact as the two parties have failed to win in the previous elections.

Meanwhile President Banda has said that the people who were laughing at him when he wore a white barret instead of a red one are just jealous because he looked good.

  1. Now i can see the reason why RB is trying by all means to avoid Red color, if what happened at the kuomboka is anything to go by.Am sure all of his wardrobe has changed, probably we will even hear from guys working at state lodge that he has even dropped his red bombasa`s.:-?

  2. Can our president get serious for once only?iwe RB theres no smoke without fire,a red card is only flashed when a player commits a serious foul.Do yourself the following favours:
1.stop listening to those minions surrounding you (ifibena Shikapwasha, chi Mangani ,naka Mulongoti)
2.start listening to the masses,i kno you hate the post, but pliz start reading just ONE page – “letters to the editor”.
3.call Fr Bwalya ,hold a closed door man-to-man talk and hear his views.

  3. RB is a petty old man!Has he tried to understand wat the red card is about? Why should he always be attacking people who dont support his point of view?
RB should stop making the Pact popular as he is always talking them. Let him talk of real issues like shortage of medicines in the hospitals.
We need a leader that doesn’t involve himself in petty squabbles and being provocative. Dickface Jere advise RB on wat to say, its your duty to write his speeches

  4. Dickson Jere is being paid by the Pact to make R.B look S.T.U.P.I.D when he talks.

    All is going to plan!

Lusaka Times your site is becoming LAME.
Why the need to censor the word S.T.U.P.I.D?
Are you scared to be called that?

  5. the language used by the president leaves me wondering if indeed he was a diplomat.your excellence there is always a diplomatic way of expressing your anger on citizens. citizens may insult you,but if you insult back it becomes an issue.

  6. Ba RB if you know that Fr. Bwalya is not a your bother why continue wasting your time talking abaut him? we appreciate the development going on arround our country but may i ask you one question, can you tell us your source of money all of a sadden which never existed all the past years.have you reprinted the notes or our money have been finding it self in private pockets? The PACT is my ANSWER not mr Sinyindas party. By the way SHIKULU BA RB whats your comment on those NAKED NYAUS paraded before you IN MILANZI? are we going to arrest them for showing us menwood?

  7. # 5 well put but as we all know RB has a no time to listen or reason. If only he can do that then better n not listening to quacks like Ronnie or Magani

  8. It makes me wonder if at all he knows how to read. Ba lusaka times teach him to open your page i gues he will make some changes.
Was shoked to hear a Head of state telling a citizen in ndola that KUIPA PAMENSO. wat wrong has fr Bwalya Done.

  9. It is now illegal in Zambia to be dressed in red. Soon the NCC will adopt a clause that criminalises red attire, red lipstic and painting nails red. The police will pounce on anyone found waring red and charge him or her with an offence of committing breach of peace. RB has already demonstrated that red is illegal by refusing to wear a red barret at Kuomboka ceremony. He was the only one wearing white against the traditions of the Lozis.

  10. But Guys tiziganiza before we vote people into office. We cant have a president who is so childish! The president should rise above petty issues and discuss the nation’s future plans. noti ma red card and berets. And stop acting like a person who doesn’t know the difference between his party and the government. I dont hear Obama castigating Republican Governors or mayors because as President he rules over both. Obama doesn’t blame the opposition for failing to implement policy!!!

  11. its a shame for the president to involve him self in party issues like they are just jealous of me. if father bwalya does not matter to him as well as the pact why having headaches of talking at them at break fast at lunch and diner. i will be IN Zambia soon and i will land in red suit from hat to shoes. LOL….

  12. What a speech by rb, the man is really having sleepless nights about the PACT and FFB. #15 you are right he was the only one in a red barret at kuomboka and he has forgotten that last time he had a red one.

  13. What is Red Card all about? Once they kick RB out, who do they replace him with, Sata? Or Father Bwalya?

  14. Sad to have people exhumed from the dustbins of retirement as presidos. How can you run a nation without a vision and a plan? I wonder if the man even has time to sit and think about where we are heading as a nation except to flyr, make merry and s****t. When I think about the quality of leadership we currently have in this nation, I am tended to think about some graffiti I found in one toilet at UNZA which read: some people come here to sit and think while others come to sit and stink. And I am 100% sure that the current leadership belongs to the later category.

  15. #17
Did we actually vote for RB, or did he cheat his way into office? Deep down in my heart, I still believe firmly that the election was rigged. I might be completely wrong, but that’s what I believe. In any case, even if the election had not been rigged, RB still got only about 40% of the total vote. Meaning the majority of the voters DID NOT vote for him. It’s just that our system allows a person who is chosen by the minority to be declared president.

  16. Why was RB puting on a white barret at Kuomboka when everyone was in red barrets? is he afraid of red?:-w

  17. Ati RB refused to wear a red barret during Kuomboka Ceremony. Ati they can accuse you of being a follower of father Bwalya & his red card campaign. Maybe all the paddlers of the Nalikwanda are father bwalya’s envoys. ha ha ha ha no wonder ka White barret ba RB that day.

  18. #22 Load-Shedding United,

We, the majority did not Vote for RB. As you have already stated only about 40% did so meaning
60% rejected him. Zambians in our docile being have allowed him to rule us by default or syntax
    error.

  19. RB was telling Father Bwalya ati Kuipa Pamenso to exited State owned & Govt Controlled media Jounalists and party cadres. I have put side by side RB’s recent snap and Father Bwalya snap on LT. Told my son to describe each one. The answer

one looks cute the other like a fat frog. Now which of the two countrymen who is cute looking and the who looks like a fat frog??

  20. HI fellow bloggers, its really interesting to note why our RaBies did not wear a RED BARRET. So that was the reason behind……. Oooooh kanshi.

  21. According to the Lozi tradition white barets are worn by grave caretakers. The BRE should take RB to task as that may spell bad omen on the Litunga. Does RB wish to take care of the Litunga’s grave

  22. Right now, I don’t feel proud being a Zambian! And if anyone where to ask me if RB was my President, I would deny him three times until the cock crows then produce a RED CARD!

  23. Ha ha ha ha…so he was actually avoiding it because of the red card campaign. goodness me! what some circus we are in for!

  24. [-x #33/34 There is a difference between being allowed to rule by God and being approved to rule. People like Hitler, Mussolini, Milosevic, etc, come to mind. None of these, even if they wore white from their bambas to their shoes were approved by God – and I fear they are not where they thought they should be right now. As I have said before, people like you can make anyone’s reputation great, no matter the number of times that reputation ends up in the toilet. I, however, do not think it’s wise to bring the Lord into this RB white beret statement, okay?**==

  25. SOMETHING DIFFERENT – Yesterday I was geared to watch the semi – final UEFA match between Inter & Barca on ZNBC tv. This is because I can’t afford to pay the K370,000 subscription to Mult- choice, but I believe it’s mandatory for all Zambians to pay the K3000 BETTER TV it will show. When the match started, there was no incoming signal and hence no match. I am really bitter about this. I need your honesty comments. My opinion ZNBC IS RUBISSSSSSSSHHHHHH

  26. Its a shame that the person my Zambia calls “Head of State” has nothing sensible to bring out of his mouth, yet alone, his brain. This speech potrays absolute stupidity and ignorance of what it means to be the HEAD of a state

  27. Senior Citizen
Red is symbolic of holiness Blood of Jesus. Ukulubulwa kufipondo. Selfish pipo who can even reject right to Basic need such as water and shelter. Hahahahaahaaaaa Kandileeeeeee

  28. Rupiah has brought the Zambian presidency into disrepute. No one has repect for that seat anymore. This is really sad.

  29. Awe ba RB deserves to be caged at munda wanga with his kanitundila friends, the monkeys. Foolishness yachila.

  30. Its sad to see irrelevant self disenfranchised PF kaponyas around the clock burning in vanity with hallucinations of gabbage in gabbage out all to themselves.Burning in vanity without moral, social, economic, spiritual, or indeed political dividend. Gabbage in gabbage out retiring to bed with empty venom that moves no institution, no law, system or an insect in the land of the living. This is lack of purpose and self worth in life at worst. Noble people do not devote valuable personal life to vanity and intangibilities democracy keep recording in Zambia. PF kaponyas attatch no value to their lives and time. No measurability to any objective if any. A rational actor would introspect and revaluate value for self deviation in life. They keep dreaming for the impossible in a democracy,

  31. And BLACK is a symbol of wisdom and intellectual fortitude. That’s y justices wear black, graduands wear black(in most cases). Perhaps RB should try black instead of white especially after being reduced to a pee-on by an arboreal critter.

  32. dear PF Kaponyas,

Timely warning: Kindly present yourselves as alternative leaders to the ruling democratic MMD if you can because you are in vanity with Sata or ex-Priest Bwalya Presidency. Its a typical myth to think otherwise that agrregate national votes would error with them on the ECZ ballot. It can never be precisely said that these two tribal thugs will never ever mashall national wide votes in the constitutional ballot boxes for the nation to risk them with the Zambian Presidency. Every noble unitarist-citizen know that it would be constitutionally treasonous to risk the country and constitution with these tribalists. But its your democratic right to keep dreaming and prepare for a vote wastage on your tribal thugs if ever they will be on ballot. All is inconsiquential for you.

  33. It is interesting how RB has tried every tactic in the textbook to dismiss the red-card campaign, but failing nonetheless. If he believes the red-card campaign is madness, why does he react to madness all the time? There is an old saying we used to repeat at school as kids: “Don’t argue with a f.o.o.l. otherwise people will not know the difference.”

Can I by analogy say, “Don’t argue with madness, otherwise people will not know the difference..?”

  34. Father Frank Bwaly and your supporters you can go to hell together with yo scandalas Pope.
Who will support your foolishness? VIVA RB

  35. There is nothing wrong with RB not wanting to wear anything associated with Hooligan kaponys. Your excellency, just carry on with the ongoing development in rural areas were your vote is. Most of these call boys wont even bother voting, they only appear when there is some thing to do Fr frank Bwalya. If it is to do with verifiable economic figures, you dont hear from them, but if it is were insults are, aahhhh you know you find all of them. One Kaponya at # 11 above even wonders why Zambians now have cash manee because sata and frank bwalya have been saying there is no manee.

  36. #5 Mr. Shimutale – Let us learn to respect the Presidency. One warped character organizes a few kaponyas and you want the president to invite him to State House and sit to discuss his grievances – get real.

  37. Chiluba said exactly the same thing about honking against the third term until he was honked out of power. If I recall well, it was the same type of contempt Samuel Doe poured on Charles Taylor’s uprising until the rebels captured him, decapitated him, roasted him over a gasoline fire, and feasted on him. Only time will tell where Banda’s red card campaign will end. Though if Kunda was captured too, I would not expect the Red Cardres to eat him because the disease emolating his body seems very contegious and not even fire might be able to decimate the virus, alah!

  38. ‘A lion in a cage at Mundawanga botanical gardens on the outskirts of Lusaka was lying in the sun licking its ar*se when a visitor turned to the keeper and said, ‘That’s a docile old thing, isn’t it?’ ‘No way,’ said the keeper, ‘it’s the most ferocious beast in the zoo. Why, just an hour ago it dragged a lawyer called Prominent Kunda into the cage and completely devoured him.’ ‘Hardly seems possible,’ said the astonished visitor, ‘but why is it lying there licking its ar*se?’ ‘The poor thing is trying to get the bitter taste out of its mouth.’

  39. Which President, does Zambia have a President at the moment. I though the President died and we’re just waiting for that term to complete to Elect a New President. Do you the caretaker

  40. RB will never b serious, infact sayin that he has a small brain is an understatement, he has no brainz at all !! hez just a very foolish old man who is so useless!!

  41. Zambia tulelola kwi. This is too much and I cannot take it anymore. When will we ever make Zambia a better place to live in? Fr Bwalya is just a young man who should not worry RB. He should get worried about what Fr Bwalya is talking about. RB is guilty because he has failed to deliver to the masses. Why doesn’t he get busy even in times when we have no by-elections. We can never be fooled again. The little eductaion we have is making us pass informed decisions. Sell the houses to us but you will never get our votes next year. Change is inevitable. We are tired and sick of Movement for Mad Dealers.
