Yep, this is Zambia as I know it: wonderful people with wonderful smiles and the simplicity of life that they use to stay alive. My favorite one this week is the one with Sata humbly seated on the grass – the picture tells a whole lot about his personality. That’s the way we get by…
see the difference in clothing between politicians and would be voters. There is poverty in Zambia and it is at its best. Unfortunately, for MMD suffering of people is a mere joke that always make their faces glow. Its time we all acted and finish this suffering and we can achieve this by starting now. God bless you all
Nice pics -the sweet potatoe chips reminds me of the old old sku days when we would buy fried kandolo pa break time(ukupula). He he he zambia the real africa.:-?
Ba nine Chali your last statement reminds me of the air power band. Good lord down memory lane that video had smiling pics as shown in pic 1 truly Zambian.[…some are eating Kapenta], . LT great pics!
Politics, villagers bafela yashamwali chabe. It takes anything to win a Vote batata, sata & villagers, a good strategy.
Wonderful people of eastern province, all smiles. Never a sad moment, however, sata and his pact will be shown that although easterners are accomodative and tolerant, they are actually conservetives who do not change any how. I can only wish him a humble loss.
pic #11, reminds me of the famous slogan “pamaka” these old fellows should have been on the copperbelt during 2008 bye elections.
It is amazing that people can be poor in a country so blessed. Young Japhet Phiri has shown initiative and such a spirit should be encouraged. Think of what a lad like this can do if he had financial backing? Meanwhile, Zambian Banks ignore people like this but will not bat an eyelid to give a loan to a big wig who will never pay back.
Fist pumping men and politicians
Potato chips and cattle
So you do take note of blogers complaints after all….excellent LT!!!!!!!!!, please continue striking the balance approp for politicans. Never know who may be the next presido. Its good for you as well
Although all the pictures are about Milanzi, I wont complain because they don’t have Ala Bie (RB). Thanks for the fair coverage keep it up. There is life outside MMD. With all those people in Milanzi am sure Milanzi entrepreneurs are having a field day, good business and economy for the constituency
ba lt, what is this language of saying villagers?are you towners\?
Targeting Villagers or illiterates for votes won’t progress the nation. MMD is at this full throttle with Banda literally on a mission to visit all chiefs in the country.. It is really sad . What a Joke Pa Zed !!
I feel like ululeting. This is really Zambia. Thanks LT today for covering SATA not always Mubwezenikumunzi Banda
At least I can say good coverage LT. Next week let us have HH in Mufumbwe, this is how it should be. Not always RB and his minions. Keep it up LT now you are behaving.:)>-:)>-
now I have seen everything ,kitchen sink and rim turned into a commercial stove
#7 Ba Law Pandit. It’s not being conservative. They are simply cowards. This is even confirmed by their history of running away from Shaka. I hear when they were crossing the Zambezi (or whatever river), there was an eclipse. They didn’t care about the darkness as they thought Shaka was still behind chasing them. After crossing thats when a passer-by shouted that Shaka wasn’t behind anymore. They still couldn’t believe-they kept on running till Chipata. Those who could not still believe ran faster than others and found themselves into Tanganyika and disguised themselves as Mwachusas. Thats how cowardice our friends are. Niba cimbwi, steleki.
When every Zambian wanted indepence from the white settlers-they still wanted to continue cooking and cleaning for the whites. They are the only people who voted NO against KK. When KK’s days were numbered they were the only people who voted NO against kafupi. And when people saw that kafupi was just a filthy thief they were the only people who couldn’t see kafupi’s filthy habits. In fact they are still the only I.D.I.O.T.S who are say kafupi, “is a damn good leader”. I can bet even this time they are the only ones who are resisting change. Thats why Alice alibakapile sana ifikoti no kubanwisha fimofimo. Maybe nomba naba changamuka.
COMING BACK TO LT. TO ME THIS IS THE BEST COVERAGE EVER PRESENTED ON YOUR BLOG. THE PICTURE ARE SO NATURAL AND VERY ZAMBIAN. POLITICIANS AND THE LOCALS SEEM TO BE AT EASY AND WELL INTEGRATED. NO TENTION, LIKE WHEN THERE ARE THOSE MMD CROOKS. KEEP IT UP- BALANCE YOUR COVERAGE. THIS WILL SAVE YOU FROM READERS ABANDONING YOUR BLOG AFTER 2011 WHEN THE PACT IS IN OFFICE.
SATA IS REALLY AN EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR. HE HAS THE LANGUAGE AND ATTITUDE PEOPLE CAN IDENTIFY THEMSELVES WITH. KEEP IT UP SATA, WANZELU.
Zambian side pic #9 looks depressing. do we really need a mower to keep grass shot & our side looking nice & clean? God have mercy in Zambia the real Africa. Potato chip in Katete. Good idea. just cover them from dust & flies
Three guys go to a ski lodge, and there aren’t enough rooms, so they have to share a bed. In the middle of the night, the guy on the right wakes up and says, “I had this wild, vivid dream of getting a hand job!” The guy on the left wakes up, and unbelievably, he’s had the same dream, too. Then the guy in the middle wakes up and says, “That’s funny, I dreamed I was skiing!”
:d
Nos. 18, 19 & 20 Peter. You’re a nincompoop. I bet the only reason you have a head is to keep your ears apart.
Iwe Musa Banda, you should learn to sit in the dust with the rest of the people like Sata – the old man knows how to beg for votes better than you. People are watching ./:)/:)/:)
Pic#11 says it all for me. The government is really blind to the neds of the people. We cannot be investing in microphones for the NCC when our kids are preparing meals on makeshift cookers like that. It is unacceptable! George Kunda, you cannot recommend high perks for your colleagues when you rubbishing our nation’s future by failing to recognize and address their basic necessities. If you can’t do it, step aside for those that really care and have the ability to perform.
just love pic 1 :)>-. Pic 3 8->
Picture nambala wanu, one Zambian beautiful Nsenga woman really turns me on like electricity on an electric motor about to be driven wild YO. I love Zambia mwe.
😉 Pic 12 good bussines japhet
Picture number 10 ni zeee!! power to the people! Its good that aba ngolongondo have realised that they’ve been taken for a ride by ‘wako ni wako’ for too long!
yaba kuti waseka
These politicians can use the poor villagers. After elections they are dumped like toilet paper. Poor souls
But ba Sata naba kota kwena!
Good job LT with the pictures. Very informative about our beloved country
I may be wrong but I think the man had very poor turn-out.It is nice to see pics of home. AND @20 PETER check your history, not all of eastern province is Ngoni.
Pic portrays as Zambia the real Africa
