FJT visits Chifubu

Share

BUSINESS came to a standstill yesterday when second Republican president Frederick Chiluba visited Chifubu Market in Chifubu Township in Ndola.

Dr Chiluba, who was accompanied by his bodyguards was spotted at Chifubu Market at about 16:45 hours.

Initially, people were not too sure about his presence but later realised who he was after word went round.

While in the market stands, Dr Chiluba talked to an elderly citizen of Chifubu called Lise Bwalya.

Ms Bwalya walked with Dr Chiluba to her house at 38CHD787 just across the main road near the market and at this point the crowd kept on growing bigger.

Dr Chiluba visited the house and Ms Bwalya said she was a widow that was struggling to survive.

“My husband died some time ago and I just work to get some money. So please help me,” she said.

Dr Chiluba left the house in the midst of excited youths up until the market where he was received with mixed emotions.

Some people shouted that he was the cause of their suffering and that they were behind the Patriotic Front while others shouted ‘the hour’ in support of the MMD.

He left the market about 17:30 hours as the mob followed him shouting different slogans.

  1. It’s payback time for the acquital, this guy won’t be allowed to enjoy his freedom until he delivers what he promised RB

  2. Where does he get this energy from?? Here is a master dribbler ,who dribbles in church ,politics, peoples wives, financial , rigger, school certificate , citizenship, name it. What is he up to this time around? make sure you your money, wife, away from this master dribbler !!!:d:d:d

  3. So he was also shown PF symbol and slogan. No freedom? What does that mean? A welcome or disappointment? Former president being harassed in public? Aba beve machipilathu. KK cannot be received like that. This shows that someone is still an escape convict. Prisoner in people’s minds.

  4. Well tried Timez of Zambia, at least you have mentioned what the “some people shouted” at FTJ.

  5. The Post said Chiluba was booed during his visit, and the Post showed a picture where people surrounded Chiluba’s vehicle raising PF symbol. LT (through Times of Zambia) tells us their side of the story. You can really see where LT belongs!!!

  6. @#5, am glad you revealed what LT has struggled to bring out in “different slogans”.
So Ms Bwalya got help or what…..Tel us LT? Or else she is as suffering as FTJ found her and left her.
He used her depravit status to make a show that he was a poor people’s man and thats all.
    Pleaaaaase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Why is this chap milking our tax money as salary when he is still seriously involved in POLITICS??

  8. Some people shouted that he was the cause of their suffering and that they were behind the Patriotic Front while others shouted ‘the hour’ in support of the MMD…..just for Times of Zambia to say this it mean it was worse off. Ba Chiluba ala ikalenifye

  9. LT you are lying. The Chiluba chap had to be whisked away because people wanted to beat him. He did not enter Chifubu Market. The only success he had was to talk to some woman who was the first to buy a house under Chiluba’s rule. Chiluba was booed all the way so where did you hear that business was at a stand still? Dont cheat the way Unipists used to lie to KK that he was still popular when the opposite was the truth.

  10. LT has become an MMD propaganda machine all of a sudden. Are you sure FTJ left of his own accord, or he had to take flight? Lets try and report the truth. Nakena ka FTJ, he’s really getting on my nerves!:-w. You mean we are just going to sit by watch this man steal the limelight from Zambians?

  11. Just for the Times of Zambia to say he received a mixed reception say a lot. Reading btwn the lines, that means Chiluba was not at all welcomed well in Chifubu. He should learn to read the signs. The wind of change is blowing once again.

  12. #10 Ba Moze _ Everything LT have reported is total iie. Iam in Zambia and very closely following our situation. Chiluba was hounded out of Chifubu. If the Post have reported this, it not only them eveen Radio Phoenis has. My brother in law who stays just at the junction of Kwacha Road and the Pamodzi access in Ndola confirmed the booing of FTJ.

  13. #20 Deja Vu, mudala, you dont have to live in Zambia to know that FTJ is a spent force. C/B is PF stronghold. Who in their right frame of mind can cheer kabolala? LT must be sincere in his reporting. And you are right. For once Times of Zambia had no choice but to report the truth. Ati, “mixed reception”! Lol!!!:))

  14. Kafupi nasamwa saana! Let him have his time now because his time of reckoning is soon coming. There will be no heart complications or sickness that time. Whether unwell or not, he will have to go to court. And it shall be soon!

  15. Kabolala must just forget about delivering to RB the Copperbelt.People dont want to hear his name and hes not going to cheat them anymore.Like may blogers have said the term’mixed emotions’ speaks volumes of the reception he received.BUT FTJ ACHIPA! INSPECTING EVEN COMMUNAL TOILETS! ANYWAY<HES A KAPONYA<WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!

  16. This short thief must learn to stay at home with his stolen wife. Why is he doing so much harm to himself. He can never deliver Copperbelt and Luapula! Never!

  17. Chifubu guys intertain this man too much, no wonder he is in active politics upto now…if we all treat him like the way he was treated in Chamboli he will be forced to retire…

  18. **** You Chiluba, Just keep your thieving short ass @ home. Naimwe Frustrated Zambians don’t just shout @ him, give him a beating!

  19. Good question #19. Looks like he’s sudeny cured of his ailment. This guy is paying for his sins. Actually for the first time i’mk begining to think that RB is not as dullas he looks. If we look into their relationship deeply Chiluba is being used as a puppet to dance to RB’s tune. Strictly speaking he’s not a free man cause he’s being made to undergo all that embarasment which if he had genuinly secured his acquital, wouldnt want to endure at all. Kafupi likes his highlife, he would probably have left Zed to go and dance with some exotc hookers some place else

  20. The Zambian Intelligency is not doing its job,if the Former President is stoned to death, they shall be held accountable because they havent advised him correctly.Their job is to monitor situations if it was ripe for Chiluba to go there.People are very angry about the way this Country is being run and I hope the Shushushus are reading the mood of the nation and advising our beloved President.Like now,the Zamtel issue is hot, then a Minister shoots an Innocent Boy,Police harrase people in opposition,Kajilo Muzungu kills Innocent children in Mufumbwe but he walks free,William Banda threatens Fr.Bwalya but no action from Police,Edith Nawakwi is threatend with rape but IG defends the Criminals,MMD attacks Bishop Mpundu and the Catholics,Membe is jailed while Mulongoti escapes of the same charge.

  21. # 25 Amuna Onzuna, you are very right. I wonder if Chiluba is being advised well. Or is it that he is all out to please RB and the MMD so he does not listen to advice. The MMD should realise that Chiluba’s visits to markets and high density residential areas are not only antagonising many people but they are also making the MMD more unpopular. The MMD decision to have Chilba as its consultant and advisor is backfiring. MMD will be defeated in a very big way in 2011. Certainly, the opposition will have the last laugh.

  22. chilubas days ar numbered. its a last kick of a dying horse. if u check jst the comments on this blog, its jst one or two pipo who are supporting such s t u p i d i t y

  23. Hmmm…Chiluba’s children bana miko etc, please advise your father to just sit and sleep before he is killed. This is free advice to you my friends, read the mood of Zambians. Zambians are so angry at the way the country has been sold, they dont want to see chiluba coz he is percieved to be the cause of the sufferings in Zambia. Miko please pump sense in your father before he is short at a market. And know that shooting is not an offense in Zambia. Epo mpelele bane. :-w:-w:-w

  24. Whats wrong with my comment. It’s for real Leslie Mbula has been fired and will be re[place by some former PS pending clearance of corrupt practices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  25. Seems to me he doesnt have much to do, perhaps he should consider opening an NGO to help the needy, say Anti AIDS campaigner, Water for Life, or something on those lines. Please Cjiluba you should know by now that your days in politics are finished ,use the last days you have alive to make a good name for yourself and people will remeberyou for the good things you have doen in your life.
    Have a f&*^ked up day

  26. Mr, Dr aaaah whatever take the advice the man of God Emmanuel gave you I watched as he welcomed you. if I remember very well he advised that your sins are forgiven the price you where to pay was to keep quiet or else THE GREAT I AM ,the LORD ALMIGHTY him self will deal with you pliz my disowned but distant neighbor control your self lest chiluba wakula cant you see that we are about to flash the people you are supporting out, my leaders from the the pact will deal vigorously with you and your comrades

  27. I think FTJ is thus far a free man and he can visit places he wants. No one has a right to take away his freedom. Since he was not campaigning for anyone, nor did he talk against any political party, I think he is within his rights, regardless of what anyone thinks.

  28. The Incredible lack of political understanding by partisan bloggers of Copper belt history is just appalling to me. Why is PF and the Post so scared of Chiluba visiting Chifubu? This is the beginning of Sata’s downfall.

  29. Once a criminal always a criminal ,PACT 4 LIFE ,we will give to all cases against.we dont forget easily

  30. Tmes of Zambia (MMD Daily) you need to do one better than that to convince us of Chiluba’s ka un announced pop by and quick squale when things got tight… Thank God for the Post.. They actually have photo’s we’ve all seen and actual words that were flying before the midget squaled.. indeed CBelt ni PF…
