PF asks to Join a Case that seeks to De-Register Parties that have not held a Convention

Share

The Patriotic Front (PF) seeks to be joined to a petition where a Legal advocate wants the Constitutional court to order for the deregistration of all political parties that have not been allegedly practicing democratic tenets.

PF Secretary General Davies Mwila has asked the Constitutional Court to join the PF to the matter as an interested party.

Mr. Mwila has based the application on grounds that his party might be affected by the out come of the petition.

The Constitutional Court has already joined the United Party for National Development -UPND to the petition.

Livingstone Magistrate, Benjamin Mwelwa has petitioned the Constitutional Court, seeking the deregistration of political parties that have not held party conventions since 2016, as required by the Constitution.

He has relied on article 60 sub- article two clause “D”of the Republican Constitution.

  1. I really support this! In fact this should be in bill 10. We cannot have cases where certain tribal elements continue to run as presidential candidates for over 40 years. The chap is even getting grey hairs and yet his brain remains like that of a retarded infant. There are a lot of ugly hearted people in opposition and even in diaspora. These chaps are ugly both inside and out
I mean I know I am not the most handsome man in world but I definitely know I am.better looking than most of these opposition boys. Let’s wait for 2021 when I will fix them. In fact I have the prediction results for the 2021 election. Contact me for details. Kz

    • This should remind us why Africans are celebrating to hear their President is dead. The leaders do everything to overstay their welcome.

  3. I have a problem when that so called friend is alleging all sorts of lies about my home. When he accused our leader and pays youth to revolt. That is a big problem because I am part of government and tasked with ensuring our peoples safety. The chap has failed to manage his household. A true leader creates other leaders. Noti 20 years holding onto a position. When does one throw in the towel and accept that he has failed.

  5. It is suicide to de-register UPND, by PF’s Concourt. PF should be smarter about this move.
It is simply too much of subtoge, PF should focus on repenting. God is Malyotola, Ba Edgar may have a heart attack pofye.

  7. Dangerous move, people are getting tired of your games and fake righteousness when you are more evil than others. PF expelled those wishing to challenge lungu and they want to act like they’re Democratic, enough of carders threatening anyone who criticizes you

  9. This criminal gang called PF, really think Zambians are stup1d and can’t see the blatant deceit in their dealings. These PF criminals are accusing others of being undemocratic, and yet they’re the ones who just blocked KBF from challenging corrupt clueless Lungu at their convention. Also PF, in their quest for totalitarianism, keeps stifling people’s freedom of speech and expression. Who can forget thuggish Lusambo’s threats against the innocent youth, who were trying to speak out their minds on the way the country is being run? Gangster Lungu himself, just warned the youth who are planning on holding a peaceful protest, that they’ll be arrested. This undemocratic crime syndicate has no moral qualification to decide who is, and who is not democratic, because PF is currently being…

  11. Hehehehehe………

I told you , lungu thinks we owe him our votes because he used our $17 billion to build roads and steal change with his gang.

Even my garden boy can build those roads you see if given $17 billion. On top of that even provide jobs and exports.

  12. Iwe KZ kongonyoko, why the f£&k do you try to defend the indefensible. Are you so stubbornly stupid that you can not see that your useless Lungu is steering the country back to Stone Age, iwe makaka? Do you f€$king know that £1=K21, do you know that we never experienced 24 hours loading shedding, Rampant corruption, massive stealing during pre-PF era? The more you utter tosh the more you are putting your life in danger- watch the space Mother F€$ker.

  13. Bloggers, why are you even addressing Kaiser? Who is kaizer,? What election has he himself stood for, or even won? This thing is just a blood sucking tick on Lungu’s back. No Lungu, then this thing goes to jail. And you bother arguing with it. It wants others to go & first stand as a councillor before standing as president, when it has never been on a ballot itself. Beggars can really be louder than their masters. Lungu himself is zeeee

  14. PF be very careful what you wish for! Enacting stupid laws has had terrible boomerang effects in Zambia before. Chiluba’s quest to fix sex.ual competitor later ensnared him and Sata. Miyanda’s rejuvenated POA bit a bloody juicy junk from his as.s leaving a gaping political tunnel!

  17. Fellow Zambians, my appeal is to try at all times to use correct language that befit us as a Christian Nation as we engage each other in our discourse.

Remember that the opinion we differently express should have a meaning to those whom you target to be comprehended.

The issue of deregistering any political party may only happen after 6 January 2021 as that is when the five years required could have been effected and from the look of things, the major two political parties (PF&UPND)will survive because they have already started their intra party elections with most Districts and also provinces held their elections and only at Presidential level is remaining.

When it comes to 2021 elections, there is no doubt that they will be very competitive than for 2016 as there are…

  18. Do you useless UPND sycophants just read the title of an article and start insulting without even reading the contents? Just in case you haven’t read, even your party UPND has been joined to this matter!!!

  19. I think the timing of this move was ill advised. We all know that the targeted party was or is due to hold a convention this year. In fact had it not been for meeting restrictions due COVID 19 and restrictive procedures and unfavorable political climate by the powers that be, the targeted party would have had a convention by now.

  20. Is it the some dull PF Secretary General Davis Mwila who said cabinet ministers and PF members of parliament that they will go to prison if they don’t work hard to win the 2021 general elections.
Speaking during the Luapula Province party mobilisation launch which was broadcast on Prime TV, Mwila said Luapula Province should save ministers and members of parliament from going to prison.
“Here in Luapula, we have a lot of support. We have 100 per cent support, but you bring five constituencies with 90,000 votes. Our friends (UPND) one constituency is 90,000 even if it’s in the village. Why are you not voting? That is why I am telling you that if you play, you will cry,” Mwila said.
“… All the cells will be full. All these people you see behind me will be in cells. Abena Chitalu (health…

  21. PF should have better and more important things to do than to focus on campaigning to de-register some political parties. PF should concentrate on policy formulation which will help stimulate development and give confidence to the supposedly lost and disrionted citizens.
