President Banda’s visit to South cheers Namwala

Share

Chief Mungaila of the Tonga speaking people in Namwala district, Southern Province has said President Rupiah Banda’s visit to the area this week on Monday and Tuesday has cheered the people.

The Chief who would be installed today told ZANIS at his Palace that Maala people were also grateful of President Banda’s assistance during the death of Chief Mungaila.

Chief Mungaila whose names are Victor Chaande Makaba said his working relationship with Government was good and appealed to President Banda to attend the Shimunenga ceremony to be held in October this year.

He said people were happy that the President had recognised the decision of his royal family to inherit the Chiefdom of Mungaila.

Chief Mungaila said his royal family was united unlike other areas where succession wrangles reached the courts of law for one to be recognised as chief.

He urged other chiefdoms to have united royal families to avoid paying money to lawyers each time succession disputes ensued.

The chief noted that Southern Province Permanent Secretary Gladys Kristafor, other government officials, Chiefs from Namwala, and the Member of Parliament Robbie Chizhyuka would be in attendance to witness his installation as chief tomorrow.

  4. Welcome to Namwala Mr. President we can do with a state visit we will give you a cow to take your farm that is how we do it!

  5. 4,5,6 you stupid *****s, pact or no pact i cant be decieved by the tricks of this your banda. You think building a road from one town to another requires presidential visits. this shows that you are failures in life who cant think of big things. this country require a presidnt who think big not a visitor. do you clasify avisit as an act of perfomance. perfomnce is measurable can you measure a visit? any way I excuse you bcoz even what I am trying to teach you can not be taken up by your weak minds. Comtinue with your ignorance. fellow blogers dont read blogs from these characters esp 4 who has a rotten mind.

  6. #7 pa zed, I am convinced that you are not thinking Mr Sata thinks big. Obviously you also know that Mr Sata is in the same league as Mr William Banda, their strong points are organising party cadres on behalf of more intelligent people, doing the leg work in other words. What I cannot guess is which other person you could be referring to when when you say this country needs a presidnet thinks big?

  7. #8 BA PACT,thank you so much for answering this twit at #7 calling himself PA ZED PESU on my behalf.this boy is refering to sata as a person who thinks big,but he is ashamed to come out in the open because he knows that the person whose character he wants to peddle is a scam.rupiah is fine and has always been fine only that he presides over a country where people thrive on sweet talk, wanting money in there pockets all the time.schools and hospitals in every 10km radius free beer and sex et al.people like chi PA ZED PESU. wanya no kunya chi kala.you have to sweat to enjoy life

  8. #7 you would do us big favour by being realistic .What we are appreciating is something which has not being there for many years but now we are able to see it.RB has not used his personal money .when we say he has scored me mean he has managed to persuade all odds to give the people of Namwala at least a decent road for now. you might not like the timing of his visit but allow others on the ground who are seeing something good say so.

  9. RB is working very hard to improve the city. Already I can see roads being graded and tarred in different parts of Lusaka and Southern province. This is what we have been waiting for the past 10 years. Thanks to RB

  10. H>E>R>B continue with the hardwork go and inspect the good works you doing much to the annoyance of PF and weak UPND. In lusaka one just needs to take a ride to woodlands chalala home of civil servants and see how govt is working. What used to be impassable now we have tar roads of good quality coming up. indeed this is visible development not that imaginary 90 days heaven on earth as dreamed by one Sata and his fuzi HH

  11. Is he concenrating on Southern Province because he wants to get more votes from HH? What about Isoka, Nakonde, Muyombe Mbala? When is he going to tar the road between Mbala and Nakonde? When is he going to tar the road from Nakonde to Kanyala? When is he going to tar the road from Isoka through Mbesuma to Kasama and bulid a bridge at Chambeshi River?
Is it because we are quiet that we are not considered? He will be lucky to win in these areas if he does not do something now.

  12. #14 – He is not concentrating in one Province, the development will go to all provinces. Infact, he is not campaigning but being factual with reality. # 13 – I am happy that you are seeing what RB is doing. Give him another 20 years, Zambia will be paradise

  13. #7. Building the road is not cheap. The fact that you are seeing what is happens cannot fail you even to clap once for RB. Let us give credit where it is due. We had been crying for action oriented Government. God has given us RB and no sooner did he start showing his good intentions than you have started attacking him. What else do you want?
