Vice President Inonge Wina has clarified that the newly constructed Multi-Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ) in Central Province belongs to Chibombo District.

The Vice President made the clarification yesterday when she addressed marketeers after checking on the progress of the John highway market in Chibombo District.

This follows a standoff between Kabwe Municipal Council and Chibombo Town Council over the ownership of the upcoming MFEZ which is being developed on the great north road.

Mrs. Wina clarified that the economic zone belongs to Chibombo District and that it is meant to benefit the people of the district.

And the Vice President informed marketeers that the dispute between the investor and the council over the land where the market has been constructed has also been resolved.

Mrs. Wina explained that she has met the investor, a Mr. Patel, who has agreed to remove the wire fence and contribute blocks and cement towards the completion of the market structure.

She said the gesture by the investor has been applauded on behalf of the community who stand to benefit from the facility.

And Central Province Minister Stephen Mushanga expressed gratitude to the government for the early distribution of farming inputs under the Farmer Input Support Program (FISP) for 2020/2021 farming season.

Meanwhile, Chibombo Town Council Chairperson James Ntalasha expressed gratitude to the Vice President over the ownership of the MFEZ.

  1. What was she doing all the way there in covid19 outbreak? The healthy are dying, and she busy campaigning?
Please someone lock her where Ester Lungu is kept.

  2. It has always been in Chibombo. It’s just that Kabwe Municipal Council and Central Province administration had ganged up to throw their weight around to intimidate the smaller Chibombo Township Council. It was an unfortunate and unnecessary dispute. It can be compared to dirty little wars btwn our traditional rulers. It just shows that many people in politics don’t know wht to do once in office.

  3. This is the worst mother of nation and if she used her position well and I don’t think we would be in this situation as a, nation.

Edgar Lungu lacks credible advisors and this one is like lost in the forest.

    PF must go!

  4. I hope the family of this old hen Bo Inonge advise her not to go to Parliament or campaigning, what is she doing informing marketeers, these people are just spreading the virus …her lies will catch up with her covid is a serious disease especially if you have underlying issues like her.

  5. Such language as “old hen” is unhelpful. There’s a country which Edgar Lungu and his PF hv needlessly divided. It will take levelheadness to unite it again. The president who will come after Edgar Lungu has a big job on their hands. They will need all the help they could get.

  6. Thanks for your guidance and leadership on this. I am just perplexed as to why non eligible voters in diaspora are even commenting. You ain’t Zambian and your say doesn’t count. In other words you are wasting your time and energy

  7. The cadre-to-cadre infighting now starts. Money is finnished kaili. Atleast mu 2016 they had change(left by Sata) to bribe people. 2021 ni nkondo within PF cos these buffoons are all thirsty, hungrier & corrupt. And corrupt people cant steal money from each other, they end up fighting. This is what ll happen next. Soon they ll start killing each other.very very soon.

  8. If they attack a citizen ,lets regroup to fight them back, and when they attack each other- fold your arms and watch who wins.after the winner is announced, now join in and beat that winner also cos he is jst another thief too, like his fellow he jst clobbered. Be smart Zambians. At the end of the day we need Zambia to win, and not criminal & corrupt baffoons.

  9. Will there be memiors from Edgar Lungu whn he leaves office? I doubt it. He appears too disorganised to do that. Memiors are written by serious people with a systematic way of running public office.

  10. The newly constructed Multi-Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ) in Central Province belongs to Chibombo District.
