Energy and water development Minister Kenneth Konga has dismissed reports that the country might experience a fuel shortage beginning this month end.
Mr. Konga told radio QFM in an interview that the country has adequate stocks of fuel at Indeni oil refinery in Ndola to last the country three months.
He says during the 40 days period Indeni oil refinery will be shut down for routine maintenance, the country will not be affected because there are enough stocks of fuel.
Mr. Konga has since assured the general public not to panic by what he terms as misleading reports of a looming fuel shortage in the country.
Zambia’s sole oil refinery, Indeni, is scheduled to close this month for routine maintenance.
The four-week closure will enable the replacement of old machinery at the state-owned refinery to make it more reliable.
The 23,750 barrels-a-day refinery is the main supplier of fuel to Zambia’s copper and cobalt mines on the Copperbelt and North Western provinces.
Thats what you always say just to save your face…shame on your with Ala Bee.we know you just want to fundraise for your useless undemocratic convention.shameless people.
H.E MC SATA was this afternoon welcomed by millions if nt billions of people in CHOMA-southern province. VIVA PF………………..
1, TAZAMA, please say something sensible and useful to the nation for a change. Tell us how the closure of Indeni for maintenance will be used for fundraising for the convention, don’t just hallucinate. This politicising of everything is just irritating, but we do not mind if you can practice it within the confines of your house.
No 3 i know what am talking about just shut your bic if you have nothing to say, when indeni is closed, and already there imports and ask me how many minister’s own fuel tankers, shame on dull chaps like you.get a life..thats why TOTAL pulled out causen of too much politics from Bwezani and his clowns.
4, Well just bring in your own fuel tanker mate, rather than tell us nonsense. And by the way only chaps like you are deceived that the opposition in its current state can offer anything better than RB’s government. I challenge you to tell me which opposition leader can do better, and for God’s sake don’t mention that 90 days clown Sata.
And mate, just remember not to lecture me on multinational oil companies, I am miles more enlightened than you will ever be.
No 5 what a clown, you dont even know me and you think you more educated than me hehehehehehehe clown…go to hell with your matero certificates clown..enlightened,you are just displaying your dull thick head.
6 TAZAMA, I admit that it is not easy to judge many people without meeting them. But for you, it’s child’s play to tell your calibre even without meeting you. I have no further contribution for you as I have more important things to attend to.
PF thanks for admitting being a clown with certificates from matero…shameless cadre
PF & Tazama, There is no need for name calling thats not the best way you educate each other. The problem have noticed with Tazama is that he/she has the information which doesnt want to disclose.
I thought you guys shud try to educate each other in the fuel sector by bringing out informed analyses based on reliable information which will benefit everyone unlike exchanging insults.I must say am disappointed with you.The Indeni shutdown period is said to be 40 days, If the Govt feels the stocks at Indeni needs import supplement in order to have normal fuel supply to the nation then the issue of who own a fuel tanker & who is importing within this period is not our major concern. The Govt may take any necessary measures to avoid fuel shortage thats why they have improved efficiency of Indeni
9 Specialist, Thank you for your counsel, point taken.
# 2,Please don’t paste this nonsense on every story. You are starting to irritate me with your nonsense.
Cant you see we are trying to discuss development here?
Mwatombaneni bane,
Mwatombaneni bane.
Kenneth Konga you personally wont experience a fuel shortage, thats obvious. Everything else you said cannot be relied upon .
Have you noticed how the most useless regimes are so rabid about saying everything is sooo ok, “hospitals are good, no drug shortages, Economy is doing well, there is no corruption, Govt is working hard, etc etc ” makes me SICK.
