Pics 9 & 10. It is wrong, myopic and downright stupid to look at the demand for Zambian maize and mealie meal with with smuggling spectacles. This demand presents an enormous economic diversification opportunity and forex spinner.. Uganda is building 1200km of roads in DRC in order to tap into trade that is twice the Ugandan GDP. That is called thinking outside the box. We need to move away from this old UNIP mentality

Excellent photography. Good to see my sister dora looking stunningly beautiful and young at the age of 50. She is putting the young ones to shame. Also good to see the future first female president enjoying her honey moon locally. Very humble and patriotic. Seeing such new love reminds me of the first few years I met my regina. Smugglers song is as old as the song for the need to diversify. By now we could have ramped up maize production specifically for export to the DRC. That is how the western countries established African countries as a target market for secondhand goods… there was that insatiable demand for cheap, good clothing.

If there is a demand for maize in neighbouring countries, and Zambia (presumably) has surplus, why not exploit foreign markets?

The airport between Ndola and Kitwe under construction is not renamed from, The Copperbelt International Airport to Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport. Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport is it’s original name. Originally, this airport was supposed to be constructed at Ndola International Airport. However, authorities just changed the venue to a greenfield one between Ndola and Kitwe. However, more to the Ndola city side than Kitwe. That is why it still maintains it’s original name of Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport.

At least we are not reading about Tasila in foreign lands, such as Dubai, on the honeymoon. IIt is encouraging that young Zambians/couples of a certain status are now thinking taking honeymoons/vacationis within as sexy. It is your beautiful country young people, make it work!
This might even encourage and promote LOCAL TOURISM in Zambia…..young couples with means deciding to spend their money locally and helping to grow this sector in the process. Hey, who knows, next time we have a COVID version 2.0 we may not have to worry about foreign tourists to keep our hotels and parks open. I hope the TOURISM BOARD is taking note. They can use such young couples to promote local tourism, I am sure Tasila and her husband will be glad to help. Just a thought.
