Kabimba is the enemy of the PACT— UPND MP

Share

UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma (R) and Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba (l)

THE United Party for National Development (UPND) has described Patriotic Front (PF) secretary general Wynter Kabimba as the enemy of the PF/UPND pact.

UPND chairperson for energy Garry Nkombo said in Lusaka yesterday that the party was shocked to hear of the statement by Mr Kabimba that the PF/UPND pact working group was yet to meet to decide which party would represent the pact in the Chilanga by-election.

Meanwhile, the PF has distanced itself from the statement made by Mr Kabimba in relation to the adoption of the candidate for the Chilanga polls.

Mr Nkombo told Radio Phoenix in Lusaka yesterday that the PF should come out in the open and state whether Mr Kabimba made the statement in his personal capacity or was doing so on behalf of the party.

He urged PF leader Michael Sata to educate Mr Kabimba on the ‘spirit of the pact’.

“If he (Mr Kabimba) is not interested in the pact he must come out openly. They must come out and say if this is the PF position. This clearly shows that Mr Kabimba is the enemy of the pact,” Mr Nkombo said.

Mr Kabimba told Radio Phoenix in an interview on Tuesday that the pact was yet to decide on a candidate to contest the October 28 Chilanga by-election when in fact the pact’s working group met on Monday and unanimously resolved that the UPND would field a candidate for the by-election.

Mr Nkombo who attended the meeting of the working group in his capacity as secretary said the meeting was also attended by Mandevu MP, Jean Kapata, Kanyama MP, Gerry Chanda, UPND secretary general Winston Chibwe and Siavonga MP, Douglas Syakalima.

Mr Nkombo wondered where the secretary general of the PF got the courage to continue to mislead the ‘spirit of the pact’.

And when contacted for a comment, PF spokesperson Given Lubinda said he had listened to what Mr Nkombo had said and added that what Mr Kabimba said did not reflect the position of the party.

He said it was true that the working group meeting met and that probably Mr Kabimba was speaking from the point of ignorance.

“Probably Wynter made that statement out of ignorance. My assumption is that he was making the statement out of ignorance,” he said.

Mr Lubinda referred all queries to Mr Kabimba, but attempts to contact Mr Kabimba failed as his mobile phone went unanswered.

  1. Well well, am surprised this PACT, which is just gravy train on biscuit wheels , is still moving. Kabimba has clearly stated to the face of HH that it is impossible for him to lead the PACT into 2011 and we have told HH this message many a times but have been called names and showered all manner of insults and yet HH this he can still make a deal with thugs. Isn’t there a man with brains in UPND to advise HH to partner with the winning team, with a national agenda and national representation. Have the Chiefs in Southern Province not advised him enough? Isn’t he tired of losing?

Maybe after all his real name is ICHILEMA. How else can he continue burying his head in the sand despite all the wring on the wall. I rest my case.

  2. 2 Corinthians 6:14

My brothers, do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

  3. Is this the kind of consortium Zambians expect to run their country? If they cant resolve simple issues like this, how can we trust them with national affairs? The two have clearly shown their inadequacy to run this country to a point of their daily headlines now becoming nauseating. They are the worst political cowards dragging their feet even where it is not necessary.
They are busy blaming people with a right frame of mind who questioned the consumation of the PACT yet the differences coming out are there even for the blind to see. How can two serious party presidents fail to sit down or see eye to eye and agree over these issues? Both parties have taken a militant approach of never conceeding to the dictates of the other because doing so will show it to be the weaker partner.

  4. Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

  5. Come lets reason together. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.Exactly as in John 14:2

  6. Ignorance could be the result of poor communication.

I believe Mr. Kabimba is not up to date with PACT issues.
This is awkward and laughable for a secretary general

  7. BREAKING NEWS:
    ===============

News reaching my Desk from a person close to the situation states that PF will field a candidate for Chilanga and UPND will do the same. PF believe Chilanga is close to Lusaka, their stronghold and they have great chance of bagging the seat. Stay tuned for more details in the next 2 weeks as the PACT finally officially disbands.

  8. I said it yesterday that UPND has bigger problems than being preoccupied with useless demos which wont bear fruit. This pact was never properly consolidated, today the pact is now producing the symptoms of an organisation that was rushed, without proper foundation. The biggest looser in all this will be UPND, PF has only gotten stronger and this will be reflected in the results in 2011. With Magande on the scene, should he accept VP in PF its game over UPND, in any case as it stands Nkombo knows UPND is a mess with its MPs already in talks with MMD.

  9. #8 Unbelievable that you are still in denial. The Great Satan himself agrees with Wynter, read the down low in the POST. There is no communication problem here. It is in black and white. PACT without Sata as leader is DEAD. Impossible for HH to be PACT leader. My dear come out of denial , mourn now and move and if not join the winning team to be in a winners circle after 2011 elections. Doors still open.

  10. All said now I must confess that on such a circus am not a soothsayer and my prognosis has no scientific research support, it is based on the analytical framework, a deciphering mind of what has been happening in failed Zambian opposition politics for the past ten years when ruling MMD has do much facilitation for a credible opposition to hold but to no avail. Tribalists, scavenger hunters and Pharisees masquerading as opposition leaders have all denied Zambians to have a credible opposition.

  11. Hear us all you PF kaponyas,

When the patriots everywhere said that this phony, cosmetic, impulsive none visionary hatched pact would break up, it was based on concrete and concerted observation. My stand is that the so-called UPND-PF pact has no future and it will not have one in as much as we continue our business as usual. It will be a mere foolhardy to expect a different result when they do the same thing or denial and hatred over and over again. A simple mathematical algorithm states that input is equal to output, though in thermodynamics, it is hardly 100% efficiency due to some losses.

  12. #2 MMD Chief Bootlicker

On your, Maybe after all his real name is ICHILEMA. Am advising you to learn to be polite. Don’t be too personal and don’t be too rude.
HH’s last name is Hichilema not otherwise. Stop name calling people. You are supposed to be matured enough to respect other people despite all differences of opinions.

You contradict yourself by saying in the previous paragraph we have told HH this message many a times but have been called names and showered all manner of insults . You are against name calling, but you do the worser thing !

I am very disappointed with you to say the least.

  13. The major problem facing the so-called pact is their natural falsity in unification of different interests into one. This singular act has been a drag on the progress of the opposition, because they have not exploited the benefits of diversity to push the politics forward progressively on issues. The core north party-PF has a flip side of way of ethnocentric political agenda of fostering supremacist ways from that of the South’s UPND. The fake coexistence of PF and UPND in the pact has been a major drag for the opposition and the only solution, which will be a difficult political job is the state not to be involved in any matter related to tribalism.

  14. MMD Chief Bootlicker is very right. I’m a bonafide UPND member and supported the pact from its formation but when I look at what is going on now, I feel it is time for UPND and HH to say bye to the pact. The Pact is dead! Sata has become big headed and headed for a dissappointment. You cant win with only the copperbelt and part of Lusaka, part of Northern and part of Luapula provinces. PF should count Southern vote out, western vote out, northern-western vote out, central vote out aeastern vote out. Sata is not difficult to crash because of all his inconsistencies. Rupiah Banda will have his day and Sata will be too old by 2016. HH should just let the pact go. The bellitlement UPND is recieving from it’s pact partner is not worth it. The MMD will gain support as we go into 2011.

  15. With the fall from grace of this pact circus, GRZ should be ready to halt any problem initiated by any group of tribal sect in the country in a decisive manner that will send unequivocal message that religion of pharisses forcing the impossible marriage and tribal bigotry of PF-UPND’s Chawama and mapatizya options should be a private affair in their own heads and not forced on uninterested citizens.

  16. The so called popular party than UPND, the PF should go it alone and see if they will win the 2011 elections. People can see who is bad in the PACT and obvious it is PF. This was the opportunity for SATA to be president, however from the look of things, its just going to be dream.

  17. @9
    MMD Chief Bootlicker says:
September 23, 2010 at 7:56 amBREAKING NEWS- You are a liar PF are not fielding any one in Chilanga. To day Mr. Kabimba was on Radio Phoenix at 06:45hrs to day where he adimitted that he spoke from ignorance because he was not briefed on the out come by THE WORKING COMMITTEE. He also complained that Mr. Nkombo should have made an effort to talk to him (Kabimba) directly instead of going to the press. So my dear feaces licker you have lost on this one.

  18. The best that the UPND can do is go it alone again although definitely it will lose or even join hands with Milupi and other sane politicians like Miyanda, Magande, Mpombo. Shakas etc. Sata thinks he is already president and Kabimba and Scott are systematically pushing away the UPND in order to leave top positions for themselves and friends. Sata is just a commedian and we will unleash all his negatives that will work good for Rupiah. THE PF CAN NEVER WIN ELECTIONS ON THEIR OWN! PERIOD!

  19. I must hasten to say a country where few overzealous Pharisees want to hold a peaceful and democratic country on the jugular, to play politics with the survival of that country will never witness any progress until kids gloves are systematically taken off on them.

  20. MMD has clearly won these elections!IF the PF think the can win these elcections then the are jocking.NO single party can remove the mmd. Firstly the hev the money to conduct an effective campaign and the have the power to make the right calls if need be.If Kambimba thins Zambia is lusaka he is cheating himself. The UPND wil not get any simparthy from as Zambians by pretending to be good boys. The shouyld leave the pact and start campaigning butt out.ON the MMD its clear that we Zambians are tired and we want change.YES the have deliverd some success but we expect more than Rupiahs constant trips around the World.May the Lord bless Zambia with a leader who will inspire us rather than one who is more concerned about wetha he will be put in jail next year.

  21. This is politics and its not for the faint hearted.FACT:UPND is fielding Captain Moono in Chilanga & PF in Mpulungu.
Am meant to believe the Pact will not break contrary to what MMD cadres are pushing for. Each partner is trying to flex their muscles.PF should learn some diplomacy i believe

  22. #19 Chief UPND Bootlicker- I dont know where you are but I can advise you to be cautious of the reports by MMD controlled media. Yes there are problems but the Times normally “adds” salt to every story that is adverse to the PACT. Like I have said this story has left out Kabimba’s acceptance that he was not aware of the out come. Infact in his earlier report he had said the PACT had not yet decided not that the PF were going to field their own m,an in Chilanga. Please lets not play in the hads of MMD.

  23. 24 Your interst is to see the PACT fail not that you love HH. You know very well that if PF and UPND go seperate MMD will win hands down. Yours are crocdile tears. God will save the people of Zambia from MMD thugs.

  24. But you see I find it surprising that Mr Kabimba who I personally hold with high esteem can exhibit such kind of manners to the co-partners! He is trying to boss the PACT without taking into account that both parties need each other or they will be battered by the METHODICAL MMD! On my personal analysis, PF is too petty and selfish without any structure of information flow! Definitely as the are can not then form a credible government because everyone is a spokesperson! Where on earth can you involve the party president on issuing of small Chilanga! I thought the working group committee can easily agree especially that they are two by-elections. PF must forget about Chilanga because the drive there is not like Mandevu or Matero as the populace is semi-independent suitable for UPND as befor

  25. Chiefs back MMD in Mpulungu by-election

FIVE traditional leaders in Mpulungu District have pledged to back an MMD candidate in the forth-coming parliamentary by-election set for October 28 this year.

The chiefs said the Government had delivered development projects as outlined during the 2008 presidential campaign that saw President Banda emerge victorious.

The chiefs said this through their spokesperson Chief Zombe, who is secretary general of the Lungu Royal Establishment, which covers the whole of Mpulungu District and parts of Mbala.

  26. Chief Zombe said he had been sent by his fellow traditional leaders in the establishment to deliver the message of good will to Education Minister Dora Siliya who is MMD chairperson for information and publicity.

Ms Siliya was in Mpulungu to check on development projects and address a series of public rallies to explain development projects to the people of Mpulungu.

“The chiefs feel that you must provide a successor as the Government because they are humbled by the amount of develop taking place in Mpulungu and also in Mbala,” Chief Zombe said.

  27. Chief Zombe cited the improved outlook of the Kasaba Bay road infrastructure and the tarred Kasama-Mbala-Mpulungu Road as landmarks that had never been achieved before.

He said the provincial administration had been involved in ensuring that development projects were supervised to meet satisfactory levels.

He said chiefs in Mulungu would remain firmly behind the Government because of the bumper crop harvest, infrastructure development and general sober leadership anchored on unity and tolerance.

  28. All that is crocodile tears from Kabimba. What Kabimba said before is general feeling among PF members. They regret having gone into pact because positions will be too few but they forget that without the UPND, the PF will not win the 2011 election. My advice to HH is to just abandon this pact. If they win, they will be marginalised to frustration until they quit government finally. The PF is like a man who beats a girlfriend before they are married. Only a fool will marry such a man and expect the guy to treat her well. The Matongos, Hachipukas and other senior UPND members who are now very quiet and just watching were right- Elderly wisdom. HH will end up proving even the #@$% Chizyuka right. It is time to leave. We made the mistake but twas justifiable then given Rupia’s recklessness.

  29. And Ms Siliya said she was humbled by the action taken by the traditional leaders to realise the values that were being promoted by the Government.

She said with such relations with traditional leaders more development would take place in the country and urged the people of Mpulungu to ignore detractors that always condemned good policies being implemented by the Government.

Ms Siliya wondered how a reasonable person could condemn the acquisition of mobile hospitals merely because of the absence of permanent structures. The Mpulungu by-election takes place following the death of former MP Lameck Chibombamilimo.

  30. this gentleman Kabimba is eying the Mwembeshi Seat currently held by UPND. so if the PACT succeeds he fears being left out and so the only thing to do is to create confusion so that the PACT breaks up.

  31. Kabimba is greedy, selfish. He is only interested in serving his own interests. SATA and HH should be careful with this man, he can easly turn int o a rebel (like Chizyuka, Machungwa etc) Sata is failing to tell off this guy because he offers him free legal advise and representation. Kabimba has used tghis postion to sideline others like Given Lubinda who is an asset and honest politician. Kabimba should join the MMD who seem to like people like him and let the pact which has the peoples’ needs at heart work and deliver for our country. Kabimba go out of the pact, you are a wrong chap.

  32. PATRIOTIC Front (PF) member of the central committee Mathew Mulanda has described as outrageous, assertions by MMD Kafulafuta Member of Parliament (MP) George Mpombo that President Rupiah Banda is claiming credit for projects initiated by late president Levy Mwanawasa.

And former president Frederick Chiluba has said he has taken a principled position to support President Rupiah Banda’s Government.

  33. Mr Mulanda said in an interview in Ndola yesterday that it was outrageous of a person who was once a Cabinet minister not to understand that Government programmes cannot be abandoned because of a change in administration.

He said Mr Mpombo should be better placed to know the five year term mandate given to the president was not sufficient to complete all projects hence every president voted into office would not shy away from the projects started by his predecessor.

  34. Mr Mulanda gave an example of the Chipata-Mchinji Rail line recently commissioned by President Banda but was initiated by first Republican president Kenneth Kaunda.

He said credit should go to President Banda who had continued to complete all the projects.

He said for Mr Mpombo to call President Banda a shameless liar was outrageous.
Zambians, Mr Mulanda said, elected President Banda as Republican president hence he deserved the respect.

  35. Kabimba wants to stand in Chilanga, simple. You mean All of you guys cant see this. Kabimba has eyes on Chilanga, he wants to be Chilanga PF candidate. This guy with his level of selfishness can easly be bought by MMD. Watchout pact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. On “And when contacted for a comment, PF spokesperson Given Lubinda said he had listened to what Mr Nkombo had said and added that what Mr Kabimba said did not reflect the position of the party… “Probably Wynter made that statement out of ignorance. My assumption is that he was making the statement out of ignorance,” he [Hon MP G. Lubinda] said… [and] referred all queries to Mr Kabimba, but attempts to contact Mr Kabimba failed as his mobile phone went unanswered” I find it interesting that PF has shown the nation that it is dis-organised because Kabimba and Mr PF/Sata MC according to the PF vuvuzela have both indicated that what kabimba said about Chilanga is correct since PF Central Committee is more powerful than the PACT which Serpentine MC Sata called a subsidiary…

  37. Speaker rebukes Mpombo triggers his arrest on breaking the penal code

SPEAKER of the National Assembly Amusaa Mwanamwambwa yesterday cautioned MMD Kafulafuta member of Parliament (MP) George Mpombo against issuing disparaging remarks against President Banda because it is an offence.
Mr Mwanamwambwa who wondered what law enforcement agencies are doing about the matter, said it is an offence to ‘insult’ the Presidency especially that it is even provided for in the Penal Code.
He was ruling on a point of order raised by Bahati MP Besa Chimbaka (PF) who wanted to know whether Mr Mpombo was in order to disparage President Banda as reported in The Post edition of Tuesday this week.

  38. “Each one of you here has subscribed to the Oaths of Parliament and one of them states that ‘You have sworn allegiance to the Presidency.’
“What it means is that whether you are in this House or outside, you must respect the Presidency because not doing so is an offence,” he said.
Mr Mwanamwambwa said he has heard many MPs on radio referring to the President by name only.

  39. “I don’t know where the law enforcement agencies are when this is happening. You are not immune to prosecution for insulting. If you insult in this House, this House will take care of you. If you insult outside, the law enforcement agents should take care of you,” he said.
Mr Mwanamwambwa said it is not a sign of heroism nor is it even a political championship for Mr Mpombo to use disparaging words against President Banda. He said Mr Mpombo’s attacks on the President are an indicator of something wrong.

  40. The Post newspaper should be ashamed its its coverage on Sata.I just read it online. In all fairness Sata should not be blinded by such publicity. What counts is the people that cast the vote.
I have not seen HH grab the headline for many months except for a ka small hidden caption.
Making noise in a newspaper does not mean you are popular, thats the reason people fail to stomach defeat

  41. He said the point of order by Mr Chimbaka was properly raised and that he was guiding the house in a frank manner.
“If those words were used in this House, this House would have taken care of you. But see, Honourable Mpombo is an honourable member of Parliament. No honourable member of Parliament will utter words such as that,” he said.
Mr Mwanamwambwa said he assumed The Post quoted Mr Mpombo correctly because if it misquoted him, he would have asked for a retraction which he said he has not noticed or seen.

  42. “So, I take it that the paper quoted Honourable Mpombo correctly. That is not the kind of statements that an honourable member makes especially when he is referring to matters that took place in this House,” he said.
He said MPs like Mr Mpombo merely attend Parliamentary sittings because of the court injunctions they have filed against their expulsions from political parties which do not want them.
Mr Mwanamwambwa said he would not have hesitated to declare Mr Mpombo’s seat vacant had it not been for a court injunction.

  43. Matongo no.26 on the spot. For me i think UPND should just pull out. PF blames Nkombo that he shouldn`t have gone to the press but i thought winter was the first to do so were he said things thru ignorance about the chilange seat.Look also what they have said in there vuvuzela paper the post.Maybe this useless president shud just continue

  44. Continuing on … PF Central Committee is more powerful than the PACT which Serpentine MC Sata called a subsidiary which is presented in the PF vuvuzela, the POST Newspaper, as “But Sata defended Kabimba’s position on the issues raised by Nkombo[ as given in the article above..]. “Wynter is secretary general for the PF he is not secretary general for the pact.. It’s only the Central Committee, which has the final say… They [UPND] are coming out in the open and if they are coming out in the open Wynter Kabimba also spoke the position of the party. We PF have not met. We are not going to be intimidated by UPND… PF came first UPND came second. And I will abide by the decisions of PF… pact is subsidiary, a small body to PF“.

This marks the end of the PACT…

  45. He said last Friday, some MPs found it more convenient to rush to the media to react to President Banda’s speech to Parliament.
Mr Mwanamwambwa said when they (MPs) returned to the House on Tuesday, they avoided debating the Presidential speech.
“Why should an honourable member avoid discussing this matter in the House and then you go out there?
What are you going to achieve? It is here where you have freedom of speech. You are protected by freedom. You are also protected from injuring yourselves because there are rules of debate here,” he said.

  46. YOU SEE, IAM SURE THAT HH has now come to know what type of a leader is SATA AND HIS USELESS FOLLOWERS LIKE KABIMBA. PFthinks he is a prsident already but wait one because things will manifest any time. it is better PF AND UPND GOES FOR ELECTIONS ALONE SO THAT THEY LOOSE TERRIBLY AND START PREPARLING FOR 2016 BUT ALAS, sata by then would be a tired and lonely black mamba while HH will be at his right time for presidency

  47. Mr Mwanamwambwa said he has also heard that MPs from both sides of the House advise one another to debate on issue-related matters and not insults.
He also said he is aware that MPs have been invited to discuss the electoral code of conduct when they go on campaigns.
“That is very serious and an honourable attempt. I pray that it succeeds,” he said.

  48. According to Mr PF serpentine MC Sata as reported by the PF vuvuzela, the POST Newspaper, “ “Wynter is secretary general for the PF he is not secretary general for the pact.. It’s only the Central Committee, which has the final say… And I will abide by the decisions of PF… [UPND-PF] pact is subsidiary, a small body to PF“which I call the end of the UPND-PF PACT it is now clear that the wise thing the mighty UPND Team can do now is to cling to the PACT but field candidates in Mpulungu as well as in Chilanga just like PF did in the Chadiza and Kaoma by-elections — which now is being understood as having been a PF Central Committee decision.

The outcome of the by-elections will give the mighty UPND information on how to proceed.

    Be blest all.

  49. PF IS BEING DISHONEST IF YOUR FRIENDS ACCEPTED YOU TO FIELD IN YOUR PF CANDIDATE MPULUNGU WHEN UPND ACTUALLY GOT MORE VOTES IN THE PREVIOUS ELECTIONS WHATS WRONG FOR THEM TO ASK YOU ALLOW THEM CHILANGA SEAT. THIS KABIMBA IS SO SELFISH AND ITS THIS UN METHODICAL WAY OF DOING THIS IN PF THAT WILL KILL THE PACT. PF WANT TO BULL DOOZE OVER ANYTHING. WHAT HAS DARKNESS AND LIGHT IN COMMON? NOTHING. UPND SHOULD PULL OUT FROM THESE KAPONYAS, SATA CAN NOT WIN ALONE. HE WILL RULE ZAMBIA POST HUMOUSLY IN 2031. RB WILL BOUNCE BACK LET UPND JOIN HANDS WITH MMD THEY ARE MORE SENSIBLE THAN FI KAPONYA , AFTER RB HAS DONE ALOT OF DEVELOPMENTALL PROJECTS IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE

  50. Dont disappoint us you peple leading the PF/UPND pact. Why all these squables! You are weakening the pact through that and in the process MMD will gain ground because people will loose confidence in the pact. This time you are suppose to sell the pact to people all over the country including very remote areas. Guard against using the press whenever there is contrary view from the other side.

Mwitucita disappoint all hopes are in the pact.

  51. #46 Maestro Hhehhehhehhe for 2011 would-b President of Zambia HH- I have always thought that you alaways speak with solid facts, but to day you disappoint me. I was listening to Wynter Kabimba on Radio Phoenix at 06 45hrs t o day and this is what he said: I MUST ADMIT THAT I WAS SPEAKING FROM A POINT OF IGNORANCE IN THAT OUR WORKING COMMITTE HAD NOT BRIEFED US ON WHAT THEY DECIDED ON WHO TO FIELD IN CHILANGA. i AM DISAPPOINTED BY MR NKOMBO FOR RUSHING TO THE PRESS INSTEAD OF SPEAKING TO ME DIRECTLY. THE PF WILL BACK UPND……………..

  52. While these guys are bickering Tourist RB has reduced prices in the rural areas, his wife has done an extensive campaign(damage) to the party PF in luapula, and then these fools hope to win elections one day. Cheat yourselves as you may, you are not ever winning elections as single parties that is a fact you must farthone. Why not adopt an independent person away from both parties, I (and I believe i speak for a lot out there) am tired of everyday hearing about the confusion in the pact or about a tribally birthed HH or even the most inconsistent Sata. get a life gents you will not rule if you stand independently i am voting for Milupi who I know is losing, or even returning the thieving RB, he is better than the nonsense you two are feeding us everyday.

  53. WE CAN good morning to you too. How about the house search? Nothing upto now?

As for serpentine MC Sata, he has again shown Zambians how selfish he is. The serpentine SATA MC even lied in his words “PF came first UPND came second. And I will abide by the decisions of PF… pact is subsidiary, a small body to PF“… PF has been existing for ten years and I cannot appease anybody contrary to the thinking of PF… my function here is to strengthen Patriotic Front just as my friends are trying to strengthen UPND by geographical strength” because UPND was formed sometime in 1998 while PF came after that in 2001. I can only understand Mr PF’s comment to reflect the truth if his English construction was broke and what he meant were votes # of 2008.

    Be blest all.

  54. Ba DeJaVU 29:

Pls read the article in Times of Zambia & also the POST and then advise us who of the two has potrayed a very bad image of the PACT. Try for once to be fair in your analysis. It is not always that the Times will be negative. A lot has been written in the post today than Times on this issue. I need your comment if you disagree then i will copy and paste what post has written as well as times of Zambai.

  55. 62 Deja Vu greetings. On your “#46 Maestro Hhehhehhehhe … I have always thought that you alaways speak with solid facts, but to day you disappoint me. THE PF WILL BACK UPND” I understand your frustration but the PF vuvuzela has reported accurately because what I’ve posted is quoted speech. I also listened to Radio Phoenix new.But PF vuvuzela would be happy, I believe, to give records of their news.

    Be blest.

  56. Why didnt this City Council Lawyer Winter who sold a house in Lubu Rd to a Foreigner Roger Lee contrary to sale of houses guidelines and then sold houses to himself and Masebo when bottom and skirt power worked for him..not take the wise thing and offer no comment on the matter or just say …in his postion as SG for misleading Sata no candidate has been adopted..finish…

  57. By the way, “Kabimba said there was no memorandum of understanding between PF and UPND but a communiqué drawn last year.

“It is very clear that they didn’t come in good faith and [UPND 2011 presidential candiate H.] Hichilema thought that he would come into this thing like they did in UDA. They thought they would walk in and subdue all of us and appear as champions and get Hichilema to the helm. That is why they find a guy like me as being anti-pact,” … “Up to now they are avoiding to discuss the presidency…[PF has] said let us appoint a mediator but they don’t want to pick mediators… I have told him [HH] that ‘if your main objective is being president[ial candidate] of the pact [in 2011 elections], then that is impossible’“.

    Just imagine…

  58. #64
Real Issue Man- Iam basing my argument on what Kabimba said (not quoted) on Radio Phoenix (#65 supports this). What ever thebtwo toilet papers said is not my basis but what I heard Kabimba said himself. After all the two toilet papers have lost credibility as they are both biased on what ever they report. Dont mis understand me. I repaet – WHAT I HEARD NOT READ. Mind you I am in Zambia

  59. Continuing on “I have told him [HH] that ‘if your main objective is being president[ial candidate] of the pact [in 2011 elections], then that is impossible’” from the PF vuvuzela and my Just imagine the nonsense from Kabimba, it is also interesting to note that kabimba had the audacity to mentioned “It’s not like I vacillate or shift positions depending on who is standing in front of me. My position has been very consistent and nothing can shock anybody” which luckily is not the personal position of serpentine Sata MC who once said through the media that he is ready to become Vice-President of HH although it was coded for the unenlightened to understand.

Kabimba’s personal position is same with Guy Scott’s and the POST Newspaper’s.

    Be blest…

  60. its interesting that While these guys are bickering Tourist RB has reduced prices in the rural areas, his wife has done an extensive campaign(damage) to the party PF in luapula, and then these fools hope to win elections one day.

  61. From the PF vuvuzela under the story “Differences in PF, UPND Pact deepen” reported on 23rd Sept 2010

The party was registered in 2001 and the party is run by our Central Committee,” Sata said. “If you look at our party symbol what do you see first?…A boat before you see a person. And you can only tell the type of person when the boat is nearer. PF came first UPND came second. And I will abide by the decisions of PF. The pact is subsidiary, a small body to PF. PF has been existing for ten years and I cannot appease anybody contrary to the thinking of PF.

    More from the same story.

Kabimba said there was no memorandum of understanding between PF and UPND but a communiqué drawn last year.

“It is very clear that they didn’t come in good faith and Hichilema thought that he would come into this thing like they did in UDA. They thought they would walk in and subdue all of us and appear as champions and get Hichilema to the helm. That is why they find a guy like me as being anti-pact,” said Kabimba.

  63. In looking at Mr serpentine Sata MC’s support for appointed-by-Sata-PF-Secretary-General Wynter according to the PF vuvuzela and PF’s Winter Kabimba who is a PF lawayer there was no memorandum of understanding between PF and UPND but a communiqué drawn last year [in 2009]” which clearly informs that nation about the PF’s position of what we were told to believe was a PF-UPND PACT MOU.

Since we just had a PF-UPND PACT COMMUNIQUÉ and not a PACT MOU, it therefore follows that PF thinks the PACT is a media strategy to dominate the mighty UPND’s position in our Zambian politics through the media while the mighty UPND Group takes the PACT as serious business meant to help the Zambia electorate to remove MMD Administration from running GRZ in 2011.

    Let us voters vote rightly…

  64. cont from #72

“Up to now they are avoiding to discuss the presidency. We have said let us appoint a mediator but they don’t want to pick mediators. I have had one on one meetings with Hichilema and he knows my position.

I have told him that ‘if your main objective is being president of the pact, then that is impossible’. It’s not like I vacillate or shift positions depending on who is standing in front of me. My position has been very consistent and nothing can shock anybody.”

Well I guess I can conclude that the Pact is finished.
    – Mr. Hichilema admitted that he cannot win an election alone.
    – Mr. Sata has stated that the PF > Pact
    – Mr. Kabimba has stated that there is no way Mr. Hichilema will be Pact President.

  65. No surprises here! What did UPND expect when they decided to team up with a bunch of lumpen goons? Lesson here is that a leopard can never change it’s spots; the Sata of today is the very same guy who armed Scorpion Kadobi and his goons with machete’s and beat the living $hit out of hapless Chawama residents back in 2001. It was naive of HH to think he could “work” with such characters! Reading the Post Online today, it’s clear that PF have become big headed and believe they can dislodge MMD on their own. My advice to UIPND; teach Sata a lesson by partnering with RB/ MMD. That in itself will surely give Sata another heart attack! :)

  66. I hear strident voices of desparation from Senior Citizen, MMD Bootlicker and their “co-workers”, trying to turn their great wish for the demise of the PF/UPND Pact into reality. All that crowing and braggadiccio is simply trying to hide their great fear of a successful Pact. TRYING TO MAGNIFY OUT OF ALL PROPORTION SIMPLE ERRORS BY OFFICERS OF THE PARTNERS IN THE PACT, WYNTER AND GARY.

  67. Am bored of this kafwafwa now. Pact is falling further and further behind when RB has already started campaigning and is even going to the gym. Like somebody has already said, how do you expect them to govern and drive the country forward when they cant organise a pi.ss up in a brewery? And they have the cheek to say that RB has not achieved anything and yet they cant even come up with a simple plan on how they should work together.

  68. I can advise the UPND to focus on 2016 and beyond. Leave alone 2011 for RB since you cannot win. Leave alone PF to die on their own with the olds.

The Future of UPND is still bright and am encouraging its leaders to be couragous enough to quit this now called sudsidially pact.

    Now is the time!

  69. 66 WE CAN thanks, on your “Sata’s English is sometimes questionable. I only believe what he says when he uses Bemba [Language]” I understand your position because Mr PF/serpentine Sata MC only reached Standard 4 according Minister Mulongoti’s GRZ records which means his English Language is very bad as Mr former President FJT Chiluba put it — Taiwanese English, if I remember correctly.

I just hope Mr serpentine Sata MC will tell the nation to bear with him over the wrong statement that ‘PF came first then UPND’ so that he can explain what he really meant by his statement in Bemba Language — which I believe he cant write but atleast can speak well to his itching-eared-kaponyas-to-hear-from him.

Be blest and vote for a President who can read and write in English…

  70. Mungoma,
I presume meeting your self comfort with distress at ujiji. Hope start preparing yourself from an impending health crisis for you Hypertention patients.

  71. #76 You carry on dreaming my friend and wake up after the election in 2011. The election is less than a year away and they still have not produced a manifesto. What is the pact stance on the recent speech given by RB at parliament? Those are the things we should be hearing about not these childish squabbles. When was the last time you saw Sata and the little snake HH together? By now they should be travelling jointly around the country to convince people to vote for them. RB has lowered the price of fuel in the rural areas – cant you see that MMD has already started the race to state house whereas the pact are arguing on who will wear the running shoes?

  72. 78 WE CAN, on your “I can advise the UPND to focus on 2016 and beyond. Leave alone 2011 for RB since you cannot win… The Future of UPND is still bright and am encouraging its leaders to be courageous enough to quit this now called sudsidially pact [to the PF/serpentine MC Sata..]. Now is the time!” there is no need for the mighty UPND to focus on the 2016 elections because 2011 elections must be contested at all levels in order to keep the Zambians reminded that UPND is still alive and a force to reckon with. Remember UNIP boycotted the 1996 elections that move caused UNIP to enter into a political-coma in ICU.

My belief is that the mighty UPND can form GRZ Administration in 2011 with or without PF with HH as President of Zambia if they want to.
    _
    Matt 6:33

  73. It will take a lot of work to convince non partisan electorates to vote for the Pact in its current form. It seems their preoccupation is to dislodge the ruling party and get to state house. They are not offering any alternative at all, no one knows what they do for the people once in office except themselves. What a shame!

  74. I agree with you #82, Maestro. UPND must (come what may) contest the 2011 general elections, but in their own words (HH’s) recently admitted they cannot win without pact strength. So my advice is that they should contest and patch up in 2011 and fill in those gaps. Am sure HH and many others will then be able to say UPND can win without pact surport fro 2016.

  75. PFshould be very carefull with there vuvuzela. They should know that we were created with independent minds. we can analyis things and conclude on our own and not what the vuvuzela want us to believe. It doesn`t mean if MS was popular yester year even in 2011 he will still be popular.

  76. Pact please disband now. We are tired of your squables. #2 you say HH should join the winning team which is MMD if he does are you going to allow him to stand on MMD ticket as president next year since all the fighting in the pact is about who should head the pact. Am so diasppointed with bloggers who insult other pipo by calling them ichilema and satan and other degrading names.

  77. I thought to choose who to stand on these by elections is easy. All the PACT have to do is to support whoever had higher votes in the previous election! Don’t cheat yourselves divided you fail in unity you succeed! SOME OF YOU GUYS NEED TO GROW UP!!!!

  78. LT..this kahule should be blocked..we don’t need retrogressive minds like her and her party hooligans..shut her from this site!she can’t articulate issues just like her colleagues ..

  79. All those who are fighting here are political opportunist who dont have jobs and are looking for jobs in whatever gonvt.
I personally have lost interest in the political system of Zambia. I have to concentrate on improving the welfare of my family. Since all you guys want to continue stealing from poor Zambians, we are going to block you. We will form an anti-vote pressure group which will go round the country sesitising the people not to vote for any potician. Let them vote for themselves. Useless people who only think about themselves and children…devils who are happy when they see the majority in abject poverty. The rare species of politicians.
May God deal with you even more.

  80. 33# Deja Vu

This story a big story in the PF Media ” The Post ” So no government media is spinning this political deadlock, it’s their own making.

Let us all the UPND supporters re-group and become stronger again. HH has noted that he cannot win on his own. It’s my hope that he does not resign. He is being hammered & insulted by the Mazoka Family and his own Executive Committee – which is not good at all.

  81. Going by reports in today’s The Post newspaper, one can deduce that there is nothing in the Pact for UPND and they are better off pulling out now!

  82. #68 We Can, u amaze me.. hahahahahaha… so u mean Sata will be using bemba in state house and when talking to diplomats? Bcoz he is only serious and clear “..when he uses bemba”. Hahahahahahaha yaba, wansekesha mudala. Zambia’s official language is English. Is that why u were busy decampaigning the degree clause in NCC?? Twapapata please mukatusebabnya ku UN.
Ninshi naba fulungana abasungu as H.E. Michael C. Sata is giving a speach in English. No idea what he’s talking about!!! Yaba, you’ve cracked me my bro…

  83. #100
Hardcore UPND Supporter for 2016- Kabimba or Sata cannot be allowed to kill a people’s movement. It has to survive and like I have said let HH be the leader

  84. the Post newspapers is now a vuvuzela for the PF. no wonder high standing columnists are now defecting from thios one vibrant zambian mouth piece. talk of Roy Clarke, edem Djokotoe, et al they are no longer there. whyy. its because of the sectarian agenda that the owners have taken. if PF is not careful this will be the beginning of the party’s demise. levae Fred to pursue his own hatred agenda against patriots. Your agenda as PF should be to win over enemies of the post as well. as Party you will go into coma after the elections while the so called Post will continue limping. PF BE WARNED. for me i just read the headlines and thats it. just ask the vendors how they now struggle to sell what used to be the envy of papers such as Daily mail and Times.

  85. The two leaders will be forever known as the nearly men. RB will take 2011. Sata will have to retire after 4 consecutive election losses. Hichilema will have to vacate the presidency of the UPND. His tenure has seen the party shrink in size and tenure…….and after 2011 FTJ will be given `his’ $8m

    MORTGAGE THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  86. Deja Vu, and the rest of UPND supporters, I feel u. I’m MMD supporter by choice in a democratic Zambia which we want to improve on. I also support RB willingly. Here’s why I feel HH will make it as a President if he partnered with MMD than with Sata:
    1. Compared wth RB, while RB came alone and succeeded, HH will be bringing a huge team to MMD
    2. Except for me, many in MMD still feel squeamish supporting RB publicly. Wth HH, they will go flat out and many loyalties will shift
    3. HH has credibility as a business leader. RB lost that when he “seemingly came from a farm”
    4. HH holds a known and proven at least 25% support base, add that to 31% of HH, the total completely whitewashes MCS’ 29% hold
    5. Inconsistencies in PF scare off most of the potential voters
    6. HH exudes maturity…

  87. …cont 106.. sorry no.4 I meant 31% RB.
    7. RB is willing to talk to HH
    8. HH has always been ready to lead Zambia, RB wasn’t
    9. A good team is willing to negotiate on a concrete platform with HH on the way forward
    10. HH can insist on things like permanent VP for 5 years with full powers to control or guide certain aspects of GRZ (Home Affairs, Industry etc)

HH, if u r reading this, pls seriously consider. RB is not as bad as he’s been painted by a certain vuvuzela. He is actually mature enough to listen. He has always responded to yo uncouth (learnt frm somewhere) tone wth respect. He has never badly hit back at u. Consider that. He hits back at Sata bcoz they r cousins not out of hate. Pls seriously consider.

  88. # 106Tolopiko Sando – THAT WOULD BE SAD. Allowing William Banda to continue harrassing Zambians for anothe 5 years? No way! I would rather be ruled by a frog!!! What rver points you have given cannot convince me!!!

  89. Ba De Ja Vu!!

What material is there in PF or UPND? pray that another crop of leaders arise in Zambia. UPND used to be a very good party under Mazoka, Sichinga, Sakwiba,Chisanga but Tonga lumpens like Sejani destroyed UPND when they brought in an under 5 who has made a very good record of 2 presidential losess including parliamentary elections. Chisanga or Sakwiba could have been credible people to lead UPND & not the who has concessioned the party to Mr serpentine MC locomotive business consultant..

  90. 106 Topoliko, please spare us the abguish. How can HH still be in contention for Republican Presidency, now or in future, after exhibiting such a serious error of judgement by going to bed with Sata? MMD has enough leadership material and doesn’t need such incorrigible, power hungry “leaders” like HH. Come, MMD is a serious party with a serious national agenda that goes beyond tenancy at Plot 1.

  91. Time to part company is now. Better cry now than later. UPND there is no shame in admitting the PACT is not working. Mr. Micheal Chilufya Sata and his PF do not mean well. Team up with Mr. Milupi, General Miyanda and Mr. Elias Chipimo. You are credible and can salvage the reducing fortunes of mother Zambia. Do not fight over who becomes president. Zambia is bigger than all of you

  92. 108 Deja Vu, the point is “negotiation”. William Banda can be negotiated out of the contract, my bro. He’s dispensable. Otherwise, he will now be working FOR HH. Think about it. If u know yo history very well, Sata and William Banda used to work together as “party cadres” we know. Sata never condemns WB very much bcoz they both know each other’s secrets. Voting for Sata is like voting for WB. The only reason WB is hated is his choice of party, not his deeds and definitely not his history. HH can’t win 2011, the sooner he accepts that fact the better. HOWEVER, he can make a very good campaign start to 2016. He still has a lot of life. Think hard. U’ll regret u passed this mark. Look at Nevers, Miyanda etc. Ichifukushi robbd them of presidency. Now look who got it! Strategy my bro

  93. HH has just been wasting UPND’s and just about everybody’s time, including the flip flopping PF. Now even flip flop PF has realised that their so called partner is a spoiler.

  94. 103 # Deja Vu says

Below is the last paragraph in today’s Post Article from Sata’s spokesman Winter Kabinda.
It says alot about the Pact. PF will not at any cost allow HH to become Pact Leader. It’s time for UPND to move on, re-group and become stronger again.

    EXTRACT

“””I have told him that ‘if your main objective is being president of the pact, then that is impossible’. It’s not like I vacillate or shift positions depending on who is standing in front of me. My position has been very consistent and nothing can shock anybody.” “””””

  95. #111 Kapoli.., that too can work with HH. Let’s think above uselessness in Zambian politics and hope 4 the better.
#110 H.H. Sata, I still support RB. He’s more sensible an dI hear you

  96. UPND you are structured, How did you go to bed with this unrefined group calling itself PF. PF is so full of itself and this has led to its fall. We had so much hope thinking PF will mature to equal UPND in reasoning and understanding the direction in which to take Zambia to economic success. What did we get? Dreams of 90 day miracles and no explanation or plan on how to achieve this out of date myopic thinking. Does the PF have thinkers?

  97. # 114 Hardcore UPND Supporter for 2016- I AM NOT DISPUTING THAT. Before I opened the Toilet Post, I had a chance to listen to Kabimba on Radio wher he said ;;;;; I ACTED FROM IGNORANCE BECAUSE I WAS NOT BRIEFED BY THE WORKING COMMITTEE. Imwe Bantu cant you see my point? Kabimba has corrected his earlier version- I heard him not read what he said. Why are you avoiding this point? Besides PF have agreed to support the UPND in Chilanga. Your aim to me is to propel MMD by trying to look only at the squables in the PFUPND group.

  98. hilanga is a very small issue, very, very small issue. Chilanga is just as small as Luena was and Chilanga should not be what people should be fighting about. They are coming out in the open and if they are coming out in the open Wynter Kabimba also spoke the position of the party. We PF have not met. We are not going to be intimidated by UPND. We have a party to run.

PF has been existing for ten years and I cannot…

  100. The pact is subsidiary, a small body to PF. PF has been existing for ten years and I cannot appease anybody contrary to the thinking of PF.

And my function here is to strengthen Patriotic Front just as my friends are trying to strengthen UPND by geographical strength. That’s what it’s all about because if you talk about geographical strength all the stories going round and round over this geographical strength.”
And Kabimba wondered how Nkombo could question his understanding of the pact when he was part of the meeting that consummated it and drafted the communiqué on June 4, 2009.
Kabimba said he did not know why Nkombo was left out of the UPND delegation that met the PF to discuss the formation of the pact.

  101. On 87 WE CAN nice one and I hope UPND will very soon resolve to go it alone in the 2011 elections. UPND can remain open to whoever needs to back to up in the 2011 elections. Examples of such backers are ADD, FDD, ULP, NAREP, CDP and HP.However the mighy UPND Team under HH as 2011 preidential candidate must stop underestimating themselves but redouble their efforts to all Zambian voters that they are worht being voted for to form a UPND GRZ Administration independent of PF and rotten MMD.

Time for the mighty UPND to make a real PACT with Zambians of all sorts is now so that we are overdrive mode by 1st January 2011. After all, the UPND have enough campaign messages to campaign against PF now since they have learnt PF’s behaviour from close range.

    Be blest all

  102. Anyway, I know the mentality of these Tongas, Lozis and Luvales they like this structure thing which will not take them anywhere. Us in pf we just need our Sata to tell us something then we act, and we told them that we should have only one voice and that voice should come from our mighty Mc Sata. These Tongas and Lozis will always be losing elections because they want to take politics like runing a company where you need to have defined structures, forget about that nowadays. I really wonder when they are going to be in GRZ one day, God forbid! beauracracy will be killing people even in hospitals. In pf we just need one person in power to direct thats all, thats why we are able to win would be voters’ hearts. These Tonga, Luvale, Lozi party is becoming a problem now to pf.

  103. 117# Deja Vu

I hear you. However, there is just too much Changing of the Goal Posts from the PF Corner. You get Scott, Kabinda, Sata and the list goes on – indicating that they cannot allow HH to be a leader because they have more seats. That said, I am not in any way trying to sell myself to MMD Supporters.

All that I am saying is that lets start being very honest and objective. PF has shown double standards day in day out – and all that we do is keep allowing ourselves to be thrown to the mud.

The truth is Sata WILL NOT allow HH become a Pact Leader. HH knows this very well and that is my point

  104. #121 your UPND party will never win as it is full of these question mark tribes who are full structures and procedures. I have told you before that if you expect leadership from Tongas and Lozis, it will never come because you guys we know you, Mwalishishita sana. HH wanted to be smart on us but we caught him red handed and will make sure to chase him forever.

  105. Chomba (122)

Why do you have to refer to tribes such as Tonga, Lozi & Luvale. That is vey Un-Zambian
You are from the North and I am drom the North too. Lets not take that route of bringing in tribes. Zambia is bigger than that. Are you practising tribalism??

  106. When i first heard about the pact i laughed so much that i had stomach pains, surely people this cannot happen in a poor country like zambia, there are so many unemployed politicians who are just waiting to get in government to have a job so what do you expect when someone threaten their position,Sata has his own unemployed and HH has his so if you mix that what do you come up with?atomic bomb and people will die from the creed of these same chemicals called politician this was your big chance but now even Chiluba can win again, shame on the pact you have let zambians down

  107. Where are all the die hard PFzealots? I wonder what you are up to. I guess you are walloping in shame or waiting for a leading voice to lead their assault on this blog. I am waiting for your comments and will take you on one by one.
On a different note: bloggers in the UK did you see the picture of RB in today’s Sun Newspaper, page 35, enjoying some wine with some British pensioners.

  108. #71, The chickens have come home to roost, since when did you describe the post as a toilet paper,so today you acknoledge that membe has been misleading the mases in his desperate quest to prop up sata. god save the queen.

  109. Only one who is intellectually challenged can believe that LT is spinning this story. If your read the other tabloid also known as PF Vuvuzela, what is written here is mild in comparison to the toxic report in the PF Vuvuzela. UPND has learnt a big political lesson, you cannot out shine or outplay the Cobra. Either you succumb or take the high way. I pity UPND.

  110. #122 & 124 Chomba

Your comments above applies to Inonge Wina, Given Lubinda, Wynter Kabimba and others within PF. You must be the cleverest living bemba!!! Keep it up. Your PF will win next year and you will be the next Foriegn Affairs minister. Don’t even bother about campaigning because every bemba in Zambia will vote for PF and since bembas form about 90% of the Zambian population you will have a landslide victory. I am sure once you win you will never allow any other tribe to rule Zambia again.
If only wishes were horses every beggar would ride!!!!

  111. Kabimba has just confirmed in today’s Post that HH is ten times smarter that what most people thought. He did not agree to be Sata’s V/P and he did not succumb to subordinating UPND to PF. UPND know that PF performed better than UPND in the last parliamentary elections(2006) simply because of the wrangles that followed the UPND convention and the fact that HH was new on the political scene hence voters did not know him well. In 2008 the contest was between Sata and RB. Most voters knew that UPND did not have enough MPs to form a govt. so they opted to support either Sata or RB. HH was advised to contest so as to keep his public profile and build the momentum for future elections. That was a wise move. He still got some votes from hard core supporters……tbc

  112. Summary Analysis: The bottomline is that there is no Pact Thing. Sata has lost Luapula to MMD and Northern Province is definately RB’s except for Kasama Central. HH has disappointed the southerners and that province gooes to RB. Northwestern is RB’s except for a few pockets here and there. The rest is history the 2008 Electoral Map will repeat itself that leaves RB with 65% of the total vote cast

  113. If HH stands in next year’s election he will more than double his % share of the votes. People know him well now and he has demonstrated that he is willing to work with other Zambians for the betterment of the country by trying to work in a pact with other parties. He together with his UPND has been the leading voice for the advancement of the Pact contrary to PF who consider themselves bigger than the pact. Zambians are watching. HH has demonstrated good leadership by keeping UPND intact as a party for the past 4 yrs apart from one MMD sponsored renegrade. UPND stands in pole position to capture disaffected MMD voters in political neutral areas of W, N/W, Central, Lusaka & CB rural. HH and UPND just have to believe and themselves they can win it or come close.

  114. The opposition parties PF/UPND should be spending time making MMD accountable. And there you are spending time fighting and calling each all sorts of names over who will lead the Pact.

A Positive & Negative electric impulse never like each other – the best they can do is to run separately.

This fracas & scuffle is a bonus to RB & MMD party

  115. From the body language of both Sata and kabimba as reported in the post it is clear that as UPND we are in wrong pact dealing with unbelievers as senior citizen puts it. I thought the working groups were given responsibility to sit and resolve issues pertaining to the pact. Now we are told that Central Committee is above the Pact. “The pact is subsidiary, a small body to PF. PF has been existing for ten years and I cannot appease anybody contrary to the thinking of PF.And my function here is to strengthen Patriotic Front just as my friends are trying to strengthen UPND by geographical strength. That’s what it’s all about because if you talk about geographical strength all the stories going round and round over this geographical strength.” There we are the pact is small body to PF…

  116. This means UPND are nothing to PF since pact is subsidiary, i.e UPND is a baby of PF. As member and a district official in Kitwe I strongly challenge the Management Team and NEC of UPND to reconsider their stance on this stupid pact.We are getting sick and tired to hear these issues in the press as if we are enemies of each other. Where are the elders in UPND who can advise the blinded HH to see on the other coin? We shall join the youths to give our leaders a notice of vote of no confidence if this issue is not resolved in sensible manner. Where on earth can PF starting speaking like the beast of Revelation 13 with pompous words? does PF want to stand in Mupulungu and Chilanga? Is that not selfish?

  117. 122. Chomba, Who tells you that Bembas will rule this country for ever as you wrongly put it. We are tired with you guys you had 37 years in Power when Zambia have 73 tribes. This time around let the Tonga you despise rule this country with dignity there after a Lozi, kalunda, Kaluvale and so on and so forth. Mu ma sholi feela a muye komukaya mu ka swaba zamina zifelile full stop.

  118. 138 Village Concept

KK is not bemba. He was just born in Lubwa Mission in Chinsali. KK is of Tumbuka Tribe.
Betty Kaunda was from Malambo is Eastern Province near Chama & Lundazi

The same as people from Muyombe ( Isoka East) and Lundazi in Eastern Province. His parents came from Malawi and just settled in Chinsali

So Bemba’s cannot claim to have ruled the country for 37yrs. They ruled in Chiluba’s years.

  119. Its no longer a secret that both PF and UPND in the PACT have been hazzardiously infiltrated by Government Kamucheka’s invissible hands and they are definately victims of a managed political crisis cancer. Winter Kabimba, Garry Nkombo, Fackson Shamenda, Silver Masebo and Amos Malupenga have been long time recruited tools of red brick. They are blackmailed for life and move with fipolopolo on their heads for years of taking in the Green thing. Shamenda was used to weaken ZCTU. Masebo and Kabimba were recruited at the peak of their membership in Ben Mwila’s party activism and they have stayed the course of service for their handlers. Sata is wasting his time with Kabimba if anything he is in danger. Nkombo is Gold digger ever vulnerable. Malupenga ever a feeder on the tabloid and NGOs.

  120. @123
Hardcore UPND Supporter for 2016- Politics are not for the feint hearted. Remember Blair became prime minister by under mining Brown so did the current Australian PM by over throwing the incumbent. No body can trust any body on MoUs. Kapwepwe was promised a term by KK but KK renegaded on that agreement. FTJ turned against those who had helped him become President when he realized that they also had presidential ambitions. Sata was also drribbled by FTJ during the infamous 3rd Term. Even in MMD these things are happening, what is saving them is the fact that Rupiah as Republican president wields immense powers which he can use to crush any one in his path. Ask Mpombo and Magande

  121. 138 HIV;If we talk of 73 tribes in Zambia,no Bemba has ever ruled Zambia.Yes,Bemba speaking men in Chiluba and KK ruled Zambia but neither is Bemba.Sata is Bisa, not Bemba

  122. #142,This is me
73 tribes in Zambia?? – they don’t exist anymore, not too sure they ever did to be honest!! You’ll probably never be victim to a more efficient propaganda machinery like that which existed from 1964-1989!! As far as I am concerned, I’m looking for a credible leader to attract my vote. That leader could be any of the “73” tribes many of us are still brainwashed into believing still exist!! What i look for is simple – just someone willing & prepared to serve me and my country for a maximum of two terms, putting the interests of the citizenry before their own needs & wants (and fetishes!!) I’m probably as disillusioned as many on this blog!!
