Faz Resignations: What the 3 Said…

Share

Here are some excepts from what the three former Faz executive committee members who quit today said at their press briefing at Garden Court Hotel in Lusaka.

Henshel Chitembeya: “We just thought it fit that to call you the scribes so that we can let you know to that the three of us have decided to resign from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).

“And our reasons I am sure some of you have an idea are that we are not in total agreement with the way the game is being managed by our executive so maybe we are the ones that are causing trouble or whatever it is.

“So we saw it fit to leave them in peace so that they can co-opt like -minded people and run the game the way they want.

“As of now we are not in agreement with them so if do not agree with people and you are in a group of people I think the best way to do is to leave that group of which I believe is what we have done so we have decided to resign as of today.”

Pivoty Simwanza:  “My appeal to (FAZ) councilors is that they should differentiate between Kalusha Bwalya on the pitch and Kalusha in the administration.

“In the administration Kalusha Bwalya can’t take us anywhere in football he did what he did but his record in administration leaves much to be desired.

“He has reduced as executive member  to merely waiting to be delegation leaders ever since he came in office I can challenge my colleague here even the vice president (Emmanuel Munaile) there is only one decision which we made as executive which is binding out there only one all the decisions have been made by one man together with his blue eyed boy the general secretary (George Kasengele).”

Violet Bwalya:

“ This is about morals. Why should I stay if things are not OK? Maybe I am an impediment in the executive because when I question that I want to see the SuperSport (Zambia League broadcast) deal…. what are the contents? Is that supposed to be secret? It is a public document everybody is supposed to know what it contains and I don’t have to beg for that.”

  1. Quitting is a sign of cowardiness, an easy way out. You guys chose to stand and people elected you, hence, should have stayed in the system and fix whatever problems FAZ is going through. You cant tell me that Kalu is able to beat the three of you at every debate or even controvesy that arises at the FAZ executive desk. Unless you are telling me that kalu is intimidating and has powers that we all dont know. So what have you solved at the end of the day by resigning?

  2. Give us more more reasons for your resignations bane. We all know kalusha is not a good administrator, there must have been alot happening at FAZ House. Come out clean, tell the nation the whole truth so that you gain our sympathy.

  3. mmm! the saga continues. I state here again ABASH all made for one person positions! transparency is the key to progress – Kalusha OUT

  4. I also agree with 2 and 3 bloggers. i thought fighting froom within would have been okay unless there is massive corruption which one would not want to be party to which i guess the nation would really want to know as major stakeholders. but sometimes resigning is honorable if you do not agree with how stuff is being done in an organisation than rocking the boat. but from outside we know that Kalu is a mess to our lovely football game.

  5. KALUSHA IS A TIN POT DICTATOR AND CONMAN. THE THREE HAVE DONE WELL TO RESIGN AND NOT TO BE PART AND PARCEL OF THUGGERY AND CORRUPTION! FOR SUNDAY NKONDE ASLSO TO HAVE RESIGNED, IT MEANS A LOT. ABASH KALUSHA! *****!

Iam 100% agree with you.Cowards!! Michael Zen Ruffinen misbehaved just like thse three and Joseph Blatter gave him a boot.Discipline is important.Viva Great kalu!!

  7. no 3rd term for Kalusha…FAZ has to operate accordingly not according to pocket agendas..hahahahah…wait and hear what the politicians will say come 2011…

  8. Petty Jockers! Can you give details of the issues that led to the resignation? Does Kalu move with Contract Agreements or they are at Football House? Please be objective! I was expecting to hear details of what all the noise has been about. What a waste of resources you are.

  9. I think apa. These guys where not getting a share of the cake. Kalu is already praisng RB so I guess the only way is to whistle blow !!

  10. Whats the point of staying on to fight from within if Kalu sidelines you n an expulsion is waiting 4 you? Its better to jump out of a sinking ship when the captain can not take your advice on how to save the ship.

  11. COWARDS, COWARDS, COWARDS, COWARDS, they think resigning will solve the problem? Now they have just make GREAT KALU POWERFUL, Do people of ZAMBIA need these COWARDS to run FAZ? They knew Kalu was about to crack the whip on them so they jumped off board quick.

  12. Iam from mufulira and I know kalusha in and out. He is a very selfish man. He does not care about the mum from the time the dad died. The mum is suffering worse more Benjamin also died kanshi banakulu bantu bucushi

  13. #14 I do agree with you. Kalusha is very selfish mambala. Everything he do is all about him. He doesnt care about his family, his parents, his childhood friends and late alone his kids. He couldnt even pay child support for his own fresh and blood. So why would he care if those three FAZ officials decide to jump off the boat to their death. Its just another day in Kalu’s world.

  14. May be we can join Kenya and be kicked out FIFA and CAF. Zambians are too dull. They like voting for failures. Kalusha failed miserably as team manager. Look at the English FA. They had a man with an MBA running their association. Members of the committee are usually eminent business men. That is why they can run one of the richest leagues in the world. In the meantime, Zambians are busy voting for a semi-illiterate ex-footballer. What a bunch of jokers!

  15. Sometimes marjority simply means all fools are on one side. The running of the game has been in a mess for a long time now so if things are being run ‘differently’ then perhaps that’s the difference we’ve been waiting for.Breaking the status quo sometimes bring the desired results.

  16. Obviously some bloggers are blinded by their admiration for Kalusha’s achievements in the pitch. Anyone who supports his management style clearly lacks understanding about what management entails. Conflicts of interest by involving himself in player sales, such as Mayuka’s transfer without Kabwe Warriors knowledge, Mbola’s sale to two different clubs, making decisions unilaterally and failures such as the Ghana trip fiasco, failure to send payment for referees tickets, are all a clear indication of the mismanagement at football house. We all appreciate his achievements on the field but must accept his limitations as a leader.

  17. It paints a rather stupid picture of the FAZ hearing of three of their anchor men resigning. In every the ways it shows that something is seriously wrong. But it is an open secret that Kalu is a legend but not a trained leader. And this is biting him. Kalu used his influence to work out the Mulonga admin. He sowed now he is reaping. What he must do is to go back to Mulonga and apologize and make things right. This will give him a good impetus among friends & foes. The principle- sowing and reaping is working in this situation. Kalu my advice to you is let your castles tumble and look to Mulonga as your helper in this.If you don`t do that you are going down in a way that your greatness will be eroded. I bet you. Just humble yourself and don`t be antagonistics.Take criticisms with open hands

  18. These three who have resigned wanted akalilo mu Faz, but Kalusha was an impedement to that. They abandoned their way of living thinking they will make money while in Faz. Those of you who are in contact with soccer players, please find time to interview some of them and you will find that Kalusha is actually right.Kalusha’s approach to Zambian football is to concetrate with football players and the coaching staff and not adminstrative staff. Kalusha, kasengele, Munaile,Marshal and a few other can manage to manoever around using there own resources but not the trio who have resigned. These three want to use FAZ money which Kalusha is blocking and they are not happy. The people who should have complained in this matter are soccer playersbut they are being looked after well.

  19. #2: Cowardice is the word. Cowardiness is not.

Guyz go to school! And learn something. You are disgracing yourselves.

  20. Rather fight it out from the inside than stand & point fingers from the outside. They should have been agents of change from within

  21. People lets not waste time talking about these three cowards ,they clearly have ulterior motives and personal hatred for Kalu.Dont u wonder why big teams like Zesco ,zanaco, roan ,changa etc do not comment on the so called crisis because they know pivot simwanza as very ambitious especially now that he has money and they cant be bought with jerseys and K1000,000 Donations by pivot.Dont u wonder why only members from Ndola are the ones that see the crisis.the reason is they are feeding from pivot. For those that dont know pivot, the longest time pivot spent in football was when he was washing jerseys for railway express(rugs to riches story).

  22. #2 & #14, thats true actually, kalu used to feel the pressure with those three guys around, now its like kalu’s selfishnes will continue coz of these guys’ cowerdness. thats a wrong move they have taken. they were supoz to make sure that its kalu who resigns first and not them.

  23. TRYING TO SUPPORT KALU WONT HELP ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL.SOME OF US REMEMBER VERY WELL WHEN TEDDY MULONGA WAS INDORSED BY FOUR OR SO COUNTRIES TO CONTEST THE VACANT SEAT LEFT BY SOME BOTSANIAN IN COSAFA WHO WAS INVOLVED IN THE TICKETS SCANDAL.KALUSWA CAME UP AND SAID HE WILL STAND ALSO,THINKING HE WAS POPULAR THAN TEDDY.AS A RESULT TEDDY STEPPED DOWN AND KALU WENT AHEAD.HE ENDED UP HAVING TWO VOTES IE ONE HE VOTED FOR HIMSELF AND ANOTHER FROM MALAWI.ZAMBIA LOST THE SEAT.HE IS VERY SELFISH AND SELFCENTRED YOUNG CHAP.THE TRANSFER SAGAS HAVE BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED.BRAVO THE THREE.DONT BE PART OF THE WRONGS.

  24. Its time Chitembeya quit FAZ. He has been in every committe(I served with him under Teddy). Pivot had made FAZ a kalilo. To be elected, he uses different(Ndola) Clubs as sponsors each time one fires him.Kalu, well I like him but he is not an administrator.

  25. Pivoty should never be allowed to come back in FAZ, this guy is a crock he uses FAZ money to bribe the Ndola clubs by buying them jerseys. Like #25 and #28 said, Pivoty use to wash jerseys for Rail Express team and i know this guy he use to be our neighbor in Ndola, he has no education at all. He’s mind is like a Kaponya.
