EXODUS Boxing Promotions promoter Anthony Mwamba has died.
Mwamba, 61,died from the Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital on Thursday morning from suspected COVID-19. Mwamba is among people who played a huge role in raising boxing to a level it has reached today.
He is also credited with female professional boxer Esther Phiri’s rise to fame.May His Soul Rest In Peace.
The Preacher Man. The man was good at boxing, I came close to him during his armature boxing days at Green Buffaloes under trainer Vincent Mudenda and the likes of Lucky Mutale. May heart goes to his family and all boxing loving fans and administrators. This is elder brother to Engineer Edward Mwamba and others. MHRIP

Ba Anthony and Moses Penza were regulars (91-93) at the formerly Al mont Blanc Cafe opposite the main office in Lusaka. Good down to earth gentleman that would always greet you with a smile. Met him 18 years later, he still was able to remember a face that he had interacted with in the early 90’s. Rest in Peace ba Kaamba.

Mr Mwamba had a genuine passion for Boxing. The boxing fraternity has suffered a huge loss as he has left big shoes to fill. Others will now emerge from no where for personal gain, whereas he had passion for it. What a terrible loss!!! MHSRIP.

Didn’t the brother to Anthony Mwamba die last week? MHSRIEP
Ba Zambia, just because u want funding from our killers(developed counties) doesn’t mean every death should be Covid related.
Get it from me, we’ve had the flu virus in Zambia and Africa for a long time and we won’t die of Covid coz we’re naturally immuned!!!
Sad readings with sorrow and misery
Rest In Peace we have lost a great man ???
