Pic 2 its nice to see KK Boppin, for his age he still looks quite fit and healthy.
Zambia seriously needs local government reforms, bringing back town and country planning. The whole town looks like a shanty compound. There is need for sanity in land allocation. Demolish illegal settlements and a total redesign of the whole city. Or maybe I have lived in London for too long?
No pics of Thandiwe again ba LT? #2 Osanama boza, not everywhere in London is pretty. Have you been to Woolwich, Edmonton, Dagenham or Croydon for example. Some housing estates in London are simply grim even the ones in posh areas like St. John’s Wood. At least in Zambia we have sunshine most of the year although the logic of comparing the 6th largest economy in the world with one of the poorest is beyond me.
DIGGING TRENCHES EVERY TIME IT RAINS IS NOT THE SAME THING AS PROVIDE DRAINAGE!!!!!!! HOW ABOUT A LONG TERM SOLUTION INSTEAD OF BRINGING OUT THE TRUCKS EVERY RAINY SEASON???? SOMETHING SO SIMPLE…THIS IS HOW YOU KNOW THESE PEOPLE REALLY ARE HEARTLESS THIEVES!!! WHEN IT’S SOMETHING THAT THEY WANT THE RESOURCES SUDDENLY APPEAR…OTHERWISE ALL YOU GET IS LAME A.S.S EXCUSES!!!
No.3 – it’s not about being “pretty” but about being well planned, collecting garbage, road and house numbering, green areas and parks, piped water, sewer lines, drainages, aligned houses and cleaning services. All these are possible with an effective local government system.
For 46years we can’t plan for proper drainage system for the city!!
“Livestock Minister” Awe guys…Can’t that be under Agriculture Ministry…
@ Robert chungu I was thinking the exact same thing. 46 years on at the very least the capital should have town planners. A functioning local government and Lusaka ministry.
Pic 2-Yeah KK bika dance kalange amasha yabukulu ka gelo.Pics 20-21 whoa i didn`t know that there is chibolya compund in itezi tezi ..ok so Chibolya is just like Zambia compund coz in every town there is always a compound called Zambia compound.Wonder if the dudes and duderates there put kwa before the name of their compound.
Pic 5 and 6, President RB’s MMD Government at work getting the job done and serving the people.
#10, you are extremely ignorant. you need long term solutions instead of what RB and MMD are doing. They need to start again, can you understand what am saying or perhaps am instultin ur village mentality
pic 14, Lusaka and Zambia as a whole, is seriously under developed!!
Fantastic pics …KK booging ..LOL…thats so cool … most pictures though just bring sorrow and sadness than anything else…
#5 We are a poor country. Period. All those things cost money. Some borough councils in the same London that you mention have bigger budgets than the whole of Zambia, so comparing Zambia and London does not make sense. If you were making a comparison with Zambia and another country with similar income I think the comparison would be valid in the same way that the transport system in the UK is generally seen as not being as efficient as the one in France for example. We all want the best for our country but we also have to be realistic in our expectations and perhaps rather than forever being armchair critics. By the way, we are still waiting for the report from PF on the councils that they run.
# 12,i couldn’t agree more. That is what happens when you combine lax and bribe taking officials,no accountability and/or checks and balances to keep abuse of office at bay,no serious punishment for citizens who litter(pic 6) and thus clog all drains and a populace conditioned to accept poor service. All in all we are all to blame.
picture one is the best-lol but how do you talk when the phone gets the signal? do you still hold the phone like that HIGH UP– waoo- i love zambia. Always something to laugh at-lol
Ba PF, where is your report on your councils?? Why does it have to take the Central govt to do the job LCC can and is supposed to do?? We need answers

Picture 10, wonderful how do I get in touch with her.
How many Boreholes would be erected as opposed to one presidential Trip !
PIC 12 THATS HOW I MAKE MY WOMEN SQUIRT WITH MY UNCIRCUMCISED TOOL! AND YET THE IDDIOTS IN PIC 10 ARE GOIN TO CUT IT OFF AND WILL NEVER EVER SATISFY A WOMAN NOR FEEL GREAT PLEASURE FOR THEMSELVES. I WONDER WHY THE MOMS WOULD TAKE BOYS FOR CIRCUMCISION.. AND WHEN OLDER WOMEN FYANTIX LITTLE BOYS U ALL WONDER HOW SOME ONE WOULD DO THAT! VA SHITI IMWE! TOO MUCH MATUVI IN YO HEADS! repair/replace parts.
2. Cast the well (Ring or in-situ), this can be done cheaply by the community themselves and with help from Department of Water Affairs (DWA) and other cooperating partners (Get info from NWASCO/DWA)
3. Redeepen the well(s) – again this can be done by the community or in collaboration with DWA
4. Where is your local Member of Parliament? Use the so called Constituency Development Fund to repair the water points.
5. If your president RB can cancel only, only one international trip, your water problems in ITT will in the past. Remember 1 presidential trip cancellation can solve your water problems. Vote wisely come 2011.:(
Meant pic #20 & 21. Sorry item 1. has been truncated in error.
Somebody somewhere must sure be running all the way to the bank seeing that some Zambianz have been hoodwinked into queuing to get circumsized.
# 23 stop embarrassing yourself by spewing your ignorance here about circumcision. You too #28.Here in america many babies are circumcised after birth. In 1999 for example 81% of newborns in the midwest were circumcised and 66% in the northeast just to name a couple. The Jews traditionally circumcise their newborns 8 days after they are born just like in biblical times. There are health benefits to this procedure. The NIH published a study in The Lancet (a world leading medical journal) in 2007 that showed that circumcision reduced a man’s chance of cotracting HIV/AIDS virus through heterosexual sex by 51 to 60 percent compared to non circumcised men in Africa.I can write more but I have to go back to sleep. It’s 4 a.m here.

Nice one # 9 kwa is good like kwa kanyama, kwa senior, kwa mutombala mufulo, kwa John chinena e.t.c
Picture #14, After 46 years of “independence” Lusaka’s skyline consists of a burnt out Society House, a partially usable Findeco House and about 3 or 4 two to eight storey buildings. For a country that has never experienced war or major natural disasters, I fail to see why Zambia continues to lag behind.
pic #10 those boys are lined up and smiling like someone is giving free fanta, do they know what circumcision is? Boys should be circumcised as babies so that they dont remember the pain
Pic 2.KK looked after himself in his youth years. Now he has been blesses with good health at his age thank God.
Pic2
However on a non related note the woman in the pic looks very reasonable for a mature relationship or even marriage. She has a good body and skin color like what most Zed men like. Hope she finds someone to marry her if not so already. I have noticed that most men who married non lookers ended up going astray and catching HIV. This is true, lets marry women we think are beautiful. If you marry a gonga u will pay for it when u catch the insect because of still looking. Marry once and be satisfied. I have noticed in these LT Week in pictures that every beauty lady attracts comments. this shows how our minds are immature and always thinking of ladies and sex. Lets wake up…
Pic 2. Most men in Lusaka got hIV because of lust. they go after anything they see in short skirt showing legs and thighs. Now the lips are red and the neck and jaws (amasaya) are big. The hair is babysh and the skin face is gray. This bcoz of admiring any legs u see and not using Condoms ati pantu Cha brown!! Wanya ukapolomya 2 years!!!
I miss the Tiyende Pamodzi with KK and the crying which he used to do.
PIC 17 Livestock Minister??????
Pic #21 That is not a borehole ba LT its an unprotected well.
I THINK THE WOMAN IN PIC#2 SEM TO BE CATCHING THE UNNECESSARY ATTENTION WHY? DONT THINK OF HER AS AN OBJECT FOR………..
Thank you Lusaka Times for the wonderful pictures. You are the best. Please keep it up.
Many, Many Thanks.
