A one-time rising star on the Zambia football scene has failed to impress coach Lucky Msiska who dropped the player from his 2011 All-Africa Games football tournament qualifying squad.
And Msiska has said that chances are very slim that Emmanuel Mayuka or the foreign-based players will join the team.
Nkwazi defender Kasongo Mwepya has had a brief day in the Sun as recent as last April with the Zambia national team in the CHAN qualifiers.
However he has failed to make Msiska’s team as the coach continues to trim ahead of naming his final 18 on Thursday ahead of Saturdays All-Africa Games qualifying match against archrivals Zimbabwe.
Others dropped are Olen Pepa, Misheck Zulu and Lameck Tembo.
Meanwhile, Mayuka is almost certainly ruled out but Msiska says they are still 50-50 chances that two Israel-based players Justin Zulu and Roger Kola could still join the team if they beat the Wednesday deadline.
On Wednesday, Msiska’s team will play Green Buffaloes in a training match at Nkoloma stadium starting at 15:00.
Msiska is extremely overated, a one tric pony as my fiance says
He us after money in zambia
He seems confused on what he is doing. What a joke, get rid of him Kalusha, no sympathy
Thanks
Wow looks like Msiska is one hell of a serious guy.I like his spirit, displine is the rule of the game.
Somebody pls tell me what the line up is like…
Msiska should be given the senior team too. He is a fantastic coach. He creates a good atmosphere among players and he is honesty. That boy Mwepya has a future ahead, but he it is difficulty for him to compete with Mbola even if he is pushed up front on left. Remember there is high competition up front in under 23.
Vintage stuff no doubt
# 1 Bamushota what the hell is with you? you are not the first one to have a fience, pliz save us from this song. Msisika still to prove himself as for now he’s just doing the right thing. building team spirit means 24hrs with the team which the big man mr dario cant see. I can bet the spirit is high in the camp.
Mushota # 1 you say Msiska overates himself? Are you have understood the statement? I think you being inapproppriate.
#6 cheers mudala. Mushota wats wrong with you. Thought this PHD syndrome is only with guys back home. When you come back they wil also tear you apart like Kalu.
Msiska should push for these foreign based chaps to come and play for under 23.We need to start building for Brazil 2014 using the current under 23 materials.Let them all come and play and co-ordinate it is longevity that builds teams especially at lower levels such as under 17,under 20 and under 23.Don’t think Spain won the world cup by shear luck it is the togetherness of that batch of players from lower level that built them. Its about time we started taking these lower age level tournaments seriously if we are to become a force on the African continent again.
wabija mwana oyu
Go Msiska Zambia need a coach like you and i think it’s about time we give a Zambian born a top Coaching job. For all player haters, “DON’T HATE A PLAYER HATE THE GAME”. I will support this guy untill he fails to manage this team. He has vast experience more than the two white boys Renard and Bonnetti, so this is the only time for him to show us who he is before the big games in future. No Kalu or Simata bebate on Msiska’s coaching experience people. Leave this innocent man alone he has not committed a crime or done stupid thing to all you soccer fans.
