Zambia began the year in similar fashion to the start of 2010 on the Fifa/Coca Cola World rankings.
The team began 2011 ranked in the 80’s brackets again after starting 2010 in 84th place.
This time around, Zambia have slumped to 81st dropping five places from 76 in December.
Zambia’s fall was not helped by their 4-0 loss to Kuwait in a friendly on New Years Eve in Cairo.
Meanwhile, Kuwait have since beating Zambia now lost two successive matches at the on-going Asian Cup in Qatar with defeats to Uzbekistan on Wednesday and China on Saturday losing 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.
Who cares really
These players go to Agola are called ‘proffesional’
The country has useless players. Disband the whole team and invest that money in other use
We are terrible, I hide when i see a zambian flag
Thanks
We need a better coach and manager
I dont hink the current regime is helping
Thanks
Football in Zambia needs to be separated from politics!!! I know we can do better but too much Politics in the game is not good for the spirit of our players. Hope this year we will do better though we have already started on a bad note. 81st FIFA ranking is really bad for Zambia!!!
They have to get rid of Bonetti first, the other day he confirmed that he is in Zambia on holiday and staying in a hotel with a swimming pool, forget about good results just provide comfort for him, period.
Aka kamukashana ka Mushota kali brain dead! Monga nika blonde. Bamene aba bazungu bamene balenga, kukatenga hule yamu Kalinglinga mu Adis Ababa. Kulibe munthu sali proud nachalo chake! Even the Somalians are proud of their country. There is only one country u belong 2 and that is Zambia. It’s the only country, we will not deport u, unless u have the William Banda arrangement, but kuma Scotland, US , UK etc, any messing around, u’ll be deported, and we will welcome to our One Zambia One Nation country.
Mushota can probably run football better than Galu
I agree with # 5. We have only one country & that is Zambia. Mushota why should you hide when you see a Zambian flag. I bet you in Scotland there isn’t so many Zambian flags! Only Zambian who love their country have flags at their homes so maybe you borrowed some money from a Zambian & whenever you see the flag you are scared of meeting the person.
we kapuba we ka mushota. why hide when you see the Zambian flag? bushe ulafula kaputula elyo wafisa pa menso?
I agree with my sister Mushota. Better to live here, abroad, with my white hubby, rather than a stingy black hubby with no senses. Just like their headless black president RB, the zambian national team will ever be a team for loosers!!
Shame!!
#3 true, remove politics from soccer. Politics always has confusion & there cannever be peace. Try it, your football wil never be the same.
Number 1 and 9 i truelly agree you are ladies. Things will continue going down so long you continue living abroad. come back home and sort out the mess
FOOTBALL DOES NOT MATTER ANY MORE IN OUR COUNTRY,IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE.WRANGLES,WRANGLES.
Mushota@2 – Do you mean Scotland needs a better coach and manager?
There is more to the slump than meets the eye,We are the ones damaging our football in Zambia through unending wrangles because of greed just like the politicians.shame
Zambia like any other African country has what I call inherent logistical and infrastructural problems. Unless these are addressed, we will always under-perform and under-achieve at any level of sport. We need to invest in the young ones because they are the sportsmen of tomorrow. Africans should learn that you cannot reap without sowing or get a profit without first investing.
As long as mix politics with soccer we won’t get anywhere
