Patriotic Front (PF) chairperson for media and publicity Rapheal Nakacinda has said that the United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema allegedly met judges over the weekend to discuss the case of nine MPs.
Speaking after the hearing of the matter where nine MPs whose seats have been nullified pending appeal have sought judicial review of the speaker of national Assembly Nelly Mutti’s ruling to disallow them from taking part in parliamentary business in the High Court, Mr Nakachinda called on the judges not to fall for this manipulation by saving Zambia’s multiparty democracy.
Addressing scores of PF slogan chanting supporters and PF members of the central committee pitched up at the High Court grounds this morning to offer solidarity to PF MPS, Mr Nakachinda said that the summoning of judges to his houses was to influence them so that Mr Hichilema can introduce a one party state in the country.
Mr Nakachinda said Zambia fought so hard to get independence as well as the introduction of multipartism.
“There is one thing that has been identified by the binoculars. President Hakainde Hichilema is not sleeping, he is summoning judges to his house to try and coerce them to advance a one party state in Zambia. The only hope for this country to remain on the rail of multiparty democracy is the judiciary, ” said Hon Nakachinda.
“We call on the judges to use their conscience not the manipulation from Mr. Hichilema. We expect that the correct thing is done. Those judges that are being called to be coerced, may they have their conscience to speak to them more than the threats coming from Mr. Hichilema.”
And PF Vice President Given Lubinda said the former ruling party is getting stronger every day. He appealed to all Zambians not to allow the UPND to destroy Zambia’s multiparty democracy.
Meanwhile, PF acting Secretary-General Nickson Chilangwa indicated that Zambia does not belong to UPND alone stating that the country’s democracy should be growing every day.
Nakachinda, are you sure. If summoned by the judges are you going to stand by your word,?
Why should he honestly call judges at his home. Our judges are compromised.
One party system will not work in Zambia.
Its funny how PF are complaining about unfair judges when they abused the system when they were in power.

We demand subpoena on Nakachinda by Judiciary, we need the truth come of these treasonous accusations.
If you are intelligent enough you can easily see it coming, well one party state cannot be accepted by Zambians , however manipulation of the laws of the land are being practiced by the speaker of the Zambian parliament by resorting being a judge when she is just a moderator of parliament business.
The nullification of seats in just one region is rather troubling, because MPs are the the parliament itself however dictatorial dynamics can be seen in the way this President is doing things.
A meeting between 2 Branches of Power does not Mean the Judge is compromised. Use Facts than Emotions. Again if you are summoned? To explain your statement? You will say it’s Witch-hunt. Strange how PF cadres and their Leaders have quickly forgotten the Evil they did to others. Would an Opposition talk like this in your time? Get serious and not speculate Nakachinda.

First of all this claim by Nakacinda is wild. He has failed to name names. So how do people take him seriously or even defend themselves? A one-party state is declared constitutionally by not allowing other parties to exist and not by declaring some parliamentary seats as illegally held. Sean Tembo’s party the PeP exists although it has no MPs. So how can Zambia be a one-party state? A one-party parliament is not the same as a one-party state. Nakacinda doesn’t even know what he’s talking about.
Name the judges? Otherwise this is libel. LAZ should sue on behalf of its members. Protect your profession.
I hope concerned people will take these allegations seriously
Taking Nakachinda seriously is a waste of time, these same wild claims is what made him destabilise MMD, he is actually not worth responding to and I am shocked that state house even gave him relevance by responding

I am PF but I can confess that Nakachinda has never been truthful ever. But remember PF had a tendency of taking in every jim and jack in desperation for power. If this guy was serious he would have even named the judges, UPND as a party should sue him without delay, other wise he will continue alarming the nation on false hoods, we know the guy extremely well, no malice in this at all, just truth

WHY ARE U AFRAID? WHEN A CIVIL SERVANT IS SUSPENDED HE OR SHE STOPS REPORTING FOR WORK UNTIL ONE IS CLEARED OR AN APPEAL IS SUCCESSFUL. AN WHEN A SEAT IS NULLIFIED IT MUS REMIN NULLIFIED AND THE MP MUST NOT ATTEND ANY SITTING UNTIL AN APPEAL IS SUCCESSFUL WHERE POSSIBLE. PLEASE THE RULLING OF ahigh court should be respected. and the speaker was right and its not her that chased them bur the nullification
