Levy’s body arrives on Saturday, not Sunday – Kanganja

Share

Secretary to the Cabinet, Joshua Kanganja has announced that the body of the late President Levy Mwanawasa will arrive in Zambia from France on Saturday and not Sunday as earlier announced.

Dr. Kanganja disclosed this in a statement to ZANIS this evening.

He said the Zambian mission in France changed the programme saying the aircraft bringing the body of the late Dr. Mwanawasa would leave France tomorrow, August 22nd 2008 and arrive in Zambia on Saturday.

On the funeral arrangements, Dr. Kanganja said books of condolences would be opened in Lusaka tomorrow while the rest of the country, the books would be opened on Monday, August 25th, 2008.

He said the books that would open on Monday would be in provincial headquarters and districts.

“In Lusaka, the books of condolences will be opened at State House and Mulungushi International Conference Centre respectively starting from 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours every day,” he said.

He said the mourners that would sign the book at State House are foreign Heads of State and Government or their representatives, former Zambian heads of state, former foreign heads of state and governments or their representatives.

Dr. Kanganja said others that would sign the books of condolences at State House are the chief justice, speaker of the National Assembly, Zambian cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, leaders of political parties, Secretary to the Cabinet, senior government officials and service chiefs.

The rest will be Members of Parliament, heads of diplomatic, consular and international organizations accredited to Zambia, the judiciary, the Mayor of Lusaka, church leaders, chiefs, former senior government officials, national executive committee members of political parties, chairpersons of commissions and senior citizens.

“Other mourners not specifies above who wish to sign the books of condolences will do so at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre,” he said.

  2. what do they mean they will fund the funeral who did they expect to fund it because i certainly know hh wouldn’t neither would maureen she has to save all she has because her relatives are already saying she kiled her husband and are waiting to share the property

  3. A SPECIAL PLACE TO BE FOUND IN LUSAKA AS A FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR PRESIDOS ,FORMER PRESIDOS , AND MAYBE FORMER VICE PRESIDOS/PRIME MINISTERS WHICH CAN DESIGNATED AS A NATIONAL MONUMENT AND TOURIST ATTRACTION

  4. Govt get serious coz the issue at hand is actually a very huge one. Today you say seven days state funeral, then 2molo you change to 21 days. Then you tell us no, the body will be in on sunday and 2molo you say no its …….. Guys sit down and draft the programe together and the inform the world.

  5. Lesa twafweni! we pray the transition into a new govt be smooth.
For now, let a level headed official be incharge not every Jim and Jack mislead us.

  6. 7. Iwe Zong Zing, the bigger space is for comments and the one at the top is for your ID mambala. Yes, where is our leaders’ final resting place, showgrounds or Teka? Give us the info asap pls.

May God grant us another no-nosense leader like LPM. The Post in the editorial have eulogised him so well, they actually understood what the man stood for. I was teary when I read the whole thing, oh man we have lost a real Leader. Not ba Kaponya et al, LPM was exceptional. MYSRIP LPM

  8. Now that what we feared and hoped would not happen happened, thieves and vultures, those who thrive on filth and corruption are positioning themselves strategically to engange the country into reverse gear. It will really be up to Zambian to allow them or not. They are within the MMD just like #11 has noted. The likes of a satanist who uses laptops to bewitch others. I pray that God does not allow his children to get into the hands of a satanist. Zambia is a christian nation for God’s sake.

  9. I would ask you ladies and gentlemen that for once we can make befitting comments rather than the usual negative trends even in a time of this magnitude of sorrow! for example Don-chi-chi goes straight into critisizing and almost condemnatory language. I know that as Zambians we are pretty nice people by any standard! Let us keep that up with what our mouths blut out!

  10. NOw that the pandora box has been opened where are the pea brains who refused to plan ahead? Ala nomba elyo mwalasebana. When I said lets strategise in case of eventualities I was called “a fool and uncouth” by some bloggers
This is the result of poor planning and only being organised in the head and not practically. Let this be a lesson to all of us who have the tendance of responding only after the fact. I had thought one of the insuarance companies would come out and inform us that they are covering the expenses of the beloved and cherished son of africa him being their most valued client? But alas it the taxpayer to suffer it all. Kanshi tukasekelamo lilali muli bu cibombebombe.

  11. #3. Good Point. Who where they expecting to fund the funeral! It seems they want to justfy the huge chunk of the Budget they are about spend.
These guys are usless I thought Mulongoti and Impala were the only ones. Now it is 21 days the body is Saturday by the end of Friday there will be another change.

  12. especially ka Pragmatist, the chap is quiet and he is now in limbo coz he knows his job is on the chopping board. We told you people to plan but were saying bla bla bla like ka maureen mu big brother
    te papa, kamutalala

  13. Why is it that the cases involving PF MP’s have all been lost while those involving MMD MP’s have been judged in MMD’s favour?

  14. We have lost a king.May his soul rest in peace. lets now pray to God to give us wisdome, especialy on what happens next.

  15. Ine nadabwa mwamene ninabadwila nikalibe kuonapo olo kumvelako maliro yamene yamakonka bantu kwamene bankala. Its unbelivable what these lads are trying to do. What is that they want to prove? Olo ba malemu ba Levy sibangakondwele kubachita soo. Mulongoti, Teta and the rest, who is giving you this kind of foolish advise kansi? Awe mukule and plis lets keep tradition yolemekeza maliro. Malemu Mwanawasa enze mukulu osati nthayo iyai, mwasokonezeka?

  16. 27. This is not an ordinary person. We are talking about a republican president. How can the whole country be hosted at one venue ? At the same time, how can everybody pay their last respect ? I think it is just reasonable to do so.

  17. mulongoti were r u? this is the time u supposed to open yo mouth and gives us info..ulikuti sokoloka lol…oh tell yo spokesman bj10 lmao

  18. I think the Govt is doing their best 2 plan this funeral so that nobody is left out. Lots of pipo wud want 2 travel 2 lsk and be part of the processions. But if they take him round, pipo wont have 2 travel 2 Lusaka. Fewer pipo, more order. We can rest assured of order in all towns. Lets give them a break pliz.

  19. What happened when Diana died? was her body paraded the whole of UK? Not at all. Thats why there is technology, i was just watching the processation in my living room. no need to evn go out to see the cart wheeling diana.
we in zambia are easily carriend by silly ideas. there is no funeral that has been attended by all the citizenry, not even the great americans travelled to attend JFK’s funeral. So we will spend yet more billions on a funeral and the next morning we will be poorer.

  20. If this disorganisation of LPM’s funeral’s a sample of how RB and his bird-brain cabinet’s going to run our affairs, then brace yourselves for a very bumpy ride ahead folks. Honestly, how is it possible that we could continue being fed with such terrible contradictions when we’re supposed to have an organised Govt in place. To say the least folks, this does not inspire confidence. Mwebuteko, please grow up and stop acting like a bunch of *****s who know jack about the status quo.

  21. #28 Nobody is left out where? Who ever wants to go for the burial can simply jump on a bus abd go to lusaka. Bushe kupatikisha nomba? YES lets give him a break and bury him ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. ello Zambia, Mine is just to urge all of you to vote for a leader who is not going to die in state house this time around.

I guess what I mean is don’t vote for Sata, once he gets the stress that comes with being a President he will have another heart attack and die on us.

Let us vote for a young and strong leader, HH is the man.Zambian wise up, we do not want to have a reputation of having sitting Presidents dieing.

  23. Hello Zambia, Mine is just to urge all of you to vote for a leader who is not going to die in state house this time around.

I guess what I mean is don’t vote for Sata, once he gets the stress that comes with being a President he will have another heart attack and die on us.

Let us vote for a young and strong leader, HH is the man.Zambian wise up, we do not want to have a reputation of having sitting Presidents dieing.

  24. Sure fye I agree with #32,in as much as we want Sata, I don’t think his health will allow him. Lets not have a situation where our president will be flown to S.A in and out. Lets be wise Zambians.

  25. Let us realize during this sad moment that
    Everything and all things are
Vanity and a vexation of the spirit
Your life and mine are in God’s Hands

May we live to serve Him and to better the lives of our brothers and sisters
    With love, respect and dignity
All the days of our lives as
Nearing the end of our stay on the earth, we will be able to say
Alas, we did as much good as it was in our power to do
    Without fear or favour
And sought to recognize every human being as an image bearer of God
So then shall we be well spoken of at the very last
As we, like Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, come to the end of our days……

  26. Funeral program of the late LPM
Body arrives in lusak then to MICC, then to Chipata to Kasama, Mansa to Ndola, Solwezi to Mongu, Livingstone to Kabwe and back to lusaka. Lusaka to MICC then to state house. State house to Parliament. From Parliament to Supreme Court.
    burial at Palabana Farms.

I wish I was in zambia, that will be some experince to remember. I am sure the TV and radio will full be off LPM comentry. Rest in peace LPM. Election to be held in 90 days.

  27. People of Zambia, Mine is just to urge all of you to vote for a leader who is not going to die in state house this time around.

I guess what I mean is don’t vote for Sata, once he gets the stress that comes with being a President he will have another heart attack and die on us.

Let us vote for a young and strong leader, HH is the man.Zambian wise up, we do not want to have a reputation of having sitting Presidents dieing.

  28. If govt doesnt fund the funeral, do they expect Gaddaffi, Mubarak, Sarkozy or HH to fund it???? Total nonsense???

Where is Teta/Mulongoti and Matero University Graduant Hon Mpombo with his popular English Terms??? have they died??

  29. Levy, you have indeed died at a time when you wanted to see Zambia come up with a Constitution that would stand the taste of time. I only hope that the one who will take over from you will continue with this noble cause as well as continue with the good economic policies that you had started.May your soul rest in eternal peace.

  30. My only appeal to govt and parliament / cabinet in particular is that they tell zesco not to load shed on saturday please when the body arrives. We want to see and mourn on tv screens. They should not expect all of us to travel to show grounds in Lusaka.

  31. Predictions
MMD wins the next elections with high votes in north western, copperbelt, eastern province, central and part of western province. A good share in Northern, Luapula province and Eastern province.

    HH sweeps southern province.
PF stragle in Lusaka, Luapula, Northern and copperbelt.

    MMD wins by 53%

People disagree with me but yes it is the truth nothing but the truth.

  32. May Levys Soul Rest In Peace, condolences to dear Maureeen, the Children,Mwanawasa family and to the nation.Lets all be Zambians in this stop the bickering and give the man a befitting state funeral the world is watching and seeing how civilised we are.So far we are behaving well as a nation.May those steering the nation at the moment focus and consult extensively before issuing statements as this is the time that the world has focused on us.They surely wish us good.

  33. I am sure we have enough money in the coffers to spend. Particularly the one mearnt for travelling for the late president. His travels were highly budgetted, therefore no worries buddies. As you may be aware, the man had a dream to explore the whole world and he was on the verge of accomplishing that when he met death.

  34. #43 MMD will win the election as long as they explain what they will do with the salary increments, period!

  35. May His Soul rest in peace. But let us open our eyes and see who next leader would be. Selfless, integrity, intelligent and corrupt free.

  36. MMD is winning no doubt about that! What time does the body arrive please we go the airport and receive our hero???

  37. May his soul rest in peace. One worrying thing is the thinking behind parading the body of the late president in all provincial towns. I think it is so disrespectful to the late president. This whole thing smells like a campaign. Shame on you MMD. Where is Maureen in all this? Is she still power hungry? Pliz DO NOT USE LEVY’S NAME TO FURTHER YOUR SELFISH AND IMMORAL CAUSES. THE MAN IS DEAD. LET HIS BODY LIE IN STATE FOR 2 DAYS AND LET US PUT HIM TO REST. GOD WILL PUNISH YOU RB AND YOUR SELFISH FREINDS. YOU WILL RUN MAD FOR DOING THIS. SHAME UPON YOU VULTURES. BA LEVY, REST IN PEACE BAKA’MBA.

  38. Even I am not for this idea of taking the body to all provinces. Surely papa has got to rest in peace. Why take him round the country when those people can just come to lusaka. Hire buses for them which will be cheaper and more descent than parading the body everywhere. Respect our father for crying out loud. Are those people so special to be followed by a corpse? Be real guys

  39. May the soul of our late mr mwanasawa rest in pace,i don’t think it is a good thing to take the dody around the country when we can all watch tv and see him.

  40. Levy’s ghost will surely haunt the MMD because right now, instead of giving a good send off, they are now using body as a campaign tool. Ala wait and see. A curse is falling on everyone involved in this decision to parade his body all over Zambia. inga abakashi ba Maureen? Muli kwi mayo? we appreciate that we are mourning as a nation but a natiowide body viewing is just out of this universe. Was Jesus’ body paraded throughout Israel? NO. Yet he is the King of Kings. let us learn from the Bible and do what is correct. Let us not take advantage of the situation to hang on to power or we will be attracting a curse on our selves. Rest In peace SC.

  41. May the soul of our late mr mwanawasa rest in pace,i don’t think it is a good thing to take the dody around the country when we can all watch tv and see him.

  42. I was just reading that the body will be taken to all the 9 Provinces and Prag is supporting the idea, what cheek!!! this is the graziest idea i have heard in years how can normal thinking humans do that since when did the President become a king, and who needs that anyway Kwena pa Zed pali comedy zoona. We are in a hurry to move on so please spare us the trouble and even 21 days is absurd already ZNBC programmes are so bad and then the nites with Faith Kandaba,Mechanical and un natural Doreen eeish!!please chinyeke!!!

  43. # 37 You are congesting this site with your useless advice. I suppose to shut up and keep that in your big head. Both Sata and HH have their hands unclean. In fact their alliance is fake and meaningless. Its like that of a lady who tells her groom-to-be, “well i dont love you enough to marry you but i need you to make pregnant. Zambians must open their eyes wide and find one who will carry Mwanawasa’s vision and deliver on his promises. Given a chance, i would vote for Magande but his silence on the proposed salary increments worries me and tells me he is probably a wrong chap too. LETS WAKE UP..

  44. #52 I agree with you we do not need to parade the body to mourn. You people what are you doing to Maureen and the Children. It’s not fair. Let the people in Lusaka do the body view us we watch on TV.

  45. My question is why do you keep changing dates Joshua?Zambia being a sovereign state,we can manage to bring the body even today!

  46. #38 Its true God takes away real Chrisitans before they sin. He does not want them to go to hell so that Satan can have a field day.

    # 46 Mwiinga give me your email address So that I can send you something you might be interested in about what transpired from the time the president got sick and the time in France with Maureen.

  47. In think it is better for the body to go to the varius provincial capitals. Remember what appened when the national team died?? There was free transport to bring people from around the country and what happened after that??? They all settled in Lusaka and the crime rate sky rocketed. We dont want any more thugs to come and settle here… So it is good the way Govt has planned this

  48. This has been truly a bad month people, joe dreads, isaac hayes,Bernie mac,13 american troops in iraqi,Madrid plane crash elo naba president ba mwanawasa…this should comfort maureen.

  49. Don’t worry fellow country men, Magande from the last budget had over 1 Trillion remaining am sure this time it shall cover for this cost. Besides, for every such budget there is a “funeral plan”. Teachers nurses take heart muyoo hola on 41st day of the month. Just pray those greedy chaps dont debate over it. May we mourn our LPM in peace.

  50. The idea of the parading the President’s body in all the 9 provinces is barbaric to say the least! MMD never ceases to amaze us. Why use the SC’s body for campaigning? Not even everybody in Lusaka will be able to view or witness the procession due to lack of space at showgrounds, how much more in these other provinces? The best alternative would be to screen the procession on TV so the we can watch from our living rooms. We know that MMD wants to gain sympathy and thereafter get the vote from the electorate. That’s not the way to go!

  51. I hope LPM’s funeral will not affect the salaries of many govt officers with an excuse that the govt over spent the money during the funeral.

  52. For those of you that are wondering as to who to vote for during the Presidential bye elections, Felix Mutati has what it takes to become the President of Zambia and continue where Levy left off. In fact am reliably informed that the State Counsel was grooming him. The guy is intelligent and courageous, you could also consider Magande and Kabinga Pande. Forget about Sata and HH, they do not seem to be ready.

  53. atleast we will save on some bucks because if all govt heads travelled to lsk…….govt would have had to pay for allowances and am sure it have costed us more.

  54. #67 I agree with you as a matter of fact I am sending a message to HH to ask him to pass and continue the 2011 pursuit, this will add up to the same 2006 situation if he were to stand now. I would rather Magande, Mutati looks young and unpredicatble, I am quite averse to geniuses, they have a tendency to play injuka, Magande is mature and proven, Kabinga was quite senior at BOZ and I think he has done a good job in foreign affairs than Mundia Sikatana, he is better off continuing there. Othersise Magande, Mutati or whoever the question of salaries will come up, believe me, the question will be simple Mr Candidate, are you signing the Bill into law (Yes/No)?

  55. Kanganja, we should prepare a burial place for presidents like they have one in ailington in USA. Soon Chiluba is dying and we will be thinking whether to take him to Katanga or what. Be proactive sir.

  56. Hola – part of the doc
Her early attempt to ensure that power lay in Paris despite the sad circumstances that have made President Mwanawasa indisposed, indefinitely, have failed. She has caused herself to be isolated and alienated from the very power she recently and extensively wielded before Mwanawasa fell ill.Her strong hand at the beginning of the crisis didn’t seem to have helped. Ministers and other functionaries recognised the extent of this inimical interference and have now shifted their loyalty to the constitution and to the Vice President, Rupiah Banda.

  57. IWE #29 uk is uk, america is america and ZAMBIA IS ZAMBIA ( ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION) SSo let us have our funeral in our own stlye. Ifyakukopela efyo mujamina. Its beta to follow the pipo in the provinces, ifililo fyaso tafimonwamonwa. ZAMBIANS NATULOSHE BAKATEKA BESU MUCIBOTE CAMFUMU. BA LEVY MYSRIP.

  58. Why has the Zambian High Commission in London not opened a book of condolence!?? These chaps are useless, even their website has not been updated! What are the other Zambian missions doing around the world? Allow us outside Zambia to mourn with our fellow Zambians.

  59. These guys don’t know what to tell us they body arrives on Sunday then now its Satruday, mourning will be 7 days now its 21 days. Next thing you will hear is that from Provincial districts they will now go to the villages.

  60. let LPM rest in peace..he has suffered enough.
why take his body through out the country.
Zed,lets fight agianst this MMD campain strategy.

  61. #78 Lady L
Thanks for the info.I am not surprised at all.Women who are aggressive like Hilary Clinton can land you into problems.Condoleeza Rice is a perfect example of how a woman should be .She is very intelligent in fact she has saved a lot of embarrassment for George Bush .Did you watch her at the recent NATO comference? It was a male dominated event but she carried on with so much grace.

  62. Those ministers in Government are money hungry… lets not choose a poor chat to become a President bcoz these money hungry loons will easily corrupt a poor President into plunder just like they did to that bus conductor(Chiluba).

Lets choose someone with substance, HH has the bucks he doesent need plunder, He is health too, so we can not anticipate another state funeral which we would if we elect Sata.

All Zambians with a good IQ will support me on this…..Wise up Zambia!!!!!!!!!!!

  63. Ba mayo ba Mweshi Mulusa mulipi mayo..this is the time to sing-Inendelumbanya ba Lesa………..mayo mwebotamwishibepofyo.Nsambu yaba Nervous ati Zambia shall be saved.Ala ths nation is definately 4 Jesus.Mumone imyeshi twaikala ukwabula kacema…had it not been for the messiah…hmmmmm..I dont no..i realy dont NO.

  64. Those ministers in Government are money hungry… lets not choose a poor chap to become a President bcoz these money hungry loons will easily corrupt a poor President into plunder just like they did to that bus conductor(Chiluba).

Lets choose someone with substance, HH has the bucks he doesent need plunder, He is health too, so we can not anticipate another state funeral which we would if we elect Sata.

  65. It is understandable the frustration that is there for us citizens, and the mixed messages we are getting does not help us retain our confidence. But we’ve never lost a Head of State before. While there may be set ways for government to deal with this sort of situation, in practice it proves to be more complicated. Perhaps lets give them a little slack and be patient and hope they get their act together. Our attitudes as citizens contributes to the overall unity and prosperity of our country.

  66. I can’t believe the childish and immature cyncism exhibited in many of the postings. What is so difficult about accepting a basic such as the body will arrive on saturday and not on sunday? Hasn’t kanganja explained that the embassy in france changed the programme? I suppose most writers are based here in the west, and like most africans, suffering from a better-than- the-african-in-africa syndrome. Be real, the president has died and Zambia is very quiet/peaceful. read what the world press is saying about your country and compare it to your own thrash here. Be ashamed guys, be ashamed. For the record, I am Zambian and working at the UN.

  67. Pliz ba zimandola, don’t do what you did pachililo cha bazambia (1993). Go back to Ndola after LPM’s burrial. Otherwise you will be stranded again.

  68. Parading Levys Body around the Country is not honourable.Lets re-think and do the most befitting thing in this time and age.Let the body lie in state in Lusaka and everything done in the Capital burial at the same time. Those that want to pay respect to Levy let them travel to the Capital i have never seen such wisdom of flying a dead body round the country its stone age thinking. In our Zambian culture we travel to the funeral and not the body, lets up held intambi shesu mwebena Zedi.If its for political expedience then thats really sad. Were is Levys family in all this?they have got to say no and where are our elders?KK,Chiluba,Ba Chipimo.Mwanakatwe,Chikwanda and the likes, they need to advise.

  69. LPM will be burried at Palabana Farm on the 3rd September 2008.

24th 09h00 arrival of ze bode in LSK (MICC)
25th Ze bode in Chipata and Kasama
26th Ze bode in Mansa and Ndola
27th Ze bode in Solwezi and Mongu
28th Ze bode in Livingstone and Kabwe
29th to 1st Sept Ze bode in LSK (MICC)
2nd Sept Ze bode in State house
3rd Sept ze bode of LMP burried at Palabana Farm

4th Sept onwards compaign for by elections starts iwe!

  70. WE GO TO MOURN THE DEAD NOT THE DEAD COMING TO BE MOURNED. please MMD this is not our Z culture. Its costly exercise only that its once off.

  71. i am also concerned about this burial prg. we are wasting govt resources. we cant afford to let mwanawasa go around the country. the expenses will be too much. allowances will be hitting millions for govt officials. secondly, mwanawasa would not want to be paraded every where as if it is a circus. let him lie in state at the state house. what pressure are you putting on maureen and the small children she has.grant them some measure of privacy please!!. dont be so selfish gaining mileage out a dead man is not honourable. cabinet minsters think before you act. levy would be ashamed of you….let him rest in eternal peace

  72. HH might be intelligent and have the bucks but it takes more than that to be President. He needs enough time to mature, and I think 2011 would be the best opportunity for him. Zambians I caution you, lets not gamble with the Presidency, experience matters. As for Sata I think he is a bit out of fashion, he has been around too long not to talk of his health. What do you think guys?

  73. what worries me is the calibre of politicians we currently have. I dont know HH except that he has money which is not well explained how he got it. Sata is a joke. Only does he not look like a presidential material physically but lack morals too.
Katele is a wrong character, I cant trust him after staying in the bush hiding from law enforcers using JUJU. Surely he is not presidential material. Who is Magande and Sikatana? Bushe ninshi our politics are full of hopeless chaps?

  74. have read that document lady L.
i also hear there are photoes of LPM in paris but they are too confidential.
it seems a close aly of moleen or these govt pipo wrote that document
the fact of matter is that all that in there is true. the source is 100% reliable.

    ala mu zambia bwafya

  75. ubwato ubwato bane

    bwabwela

ala even if sata is sick, even chirwa or hh whom pipo think are health, they can die in their sleep and sata remains. death is withe veryone

let the old man come and work, he will change work culture in zambia
leaders will be disciplined not those indissciplined ones who increase their salaries anyhow

  76. Why take the body round the country? Are the pipo accompanying it going to claim away from home allowances? Let the body stay in one place and those who want to view it whould travel at their own expense. What good will it do to us any way?

    This campain strategy is wrong.

  77. #120,It seems you are a lost character, how can you claim that you do not know HH and where he got his cash. The man works hard, he sits on so many boads of directors and owns a number of companies, succesiful one b’coz of his impecable leadership qualities.

Having given you a bit of education on this issue, we all should vote for HH. The man has man that assures us that the money hungry ministers can not corrupt him.

If you vote for one of these chaps that have no money,u will be recruiting a plunderer. learn from the mistake we made when we voted for the the pennyless bus conduct(Chiluba), who became a plunderer, wake up Zed.

  78. come on guys please can someone send us this document we are one and the same here and we all know that what we discuss here stays here.. I am so anxious please guys

  79. Sorry guys went away, Mwana ku underfive, seeing that you have seen the document already i will send it again for those that might not have received it

  80. iwe destoyer# 136, just say you want the document also don’t be in a hurry to descredit others . zedians go go forward. forget about moreen, she will never be anything more than a former first lady. she is so ill advised to think about book and posing for pictures at such a time as this. thanks guys for the document

  81. #107 Is that the final program now? I have been under the impression that he will be put to rest at a more central place like Cabinet Square not his farm! Who’s making all these decisions like this? This govt is really a mess!

  82. where will Levy be put to rest? i just hope it wont be state house, his ghost might haunt the incoming president,MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA

  83. #161. The burial will be at the park opposite the Cabinet Office and adjacent to the British High Commission. That is the square reserved for burial of presidents. This is official but not yet announced, not Palabana Farm or Teka Farm.

  84. if what lady cherry has heard is anything to go by, is there any person.bloger who can show cause as to why the people of this country should not for RB?

  85. May the soul of our beloved president rest in peace. It doesn’t matter whether the body arrives on surturday or sunday. Things are meant to change anytime and there is no gurantee for that. God is the only one who has the gurantee and We just have to be prayerful and ask for God’s guidance than just waisting your time to brame others.

  86. Don’t waist your time in discussing about the arrival of the body it doesn’t matter, what matters is the place where he will rest. God confort the first family and Zambia at large in this trying moment. RB continue be strong and take hand!!!!

  87. We should not doubt lady cherry remember yesterday when someone told us that the mourning period has been extended and we refused to believe and for sure it has been

  88. Arios fellow bloggers. Will blog more on Monday. Tomorrow will be watching the arrival of our beloved President’s body. mourn peacefully

  89. The official position has now been confirmed as follows:

Palabana Farm will be the final resting place for the president according to his own wish.

  90. Thanks guys I got the document… It is a little of what we have heard and thought. All I can say is that sometimes us women are so pushy and always want our way. Now she is a widow

  91. Mwiinga or Lady L, send me the info Lady L talked about in #61. email address is . Lady L won’t have access over the weekend but you blog all the time, so thanks in advance.

  92. lady L SEND ME THE DOC @ [email protected],
will certainly be greatful.let us know the truth of what is happenning in our country, its a shame to the selfish leaders,
i guess they are scared that afta 90 days they will be out of employment like most of the zambian masses.

  93. Making a circus of uncle Levy’s body is nonses. We ve got internet, tv and radio stations let those outside Lusaka tune in and listen or watch the live transmisions.
For once I was becoming proud of my country and our leader. He was a great principled man among men the world over. MHSRIP! We should only pray that God should ether change and transform one of the crooks or else He should just raise up someone fresh. God plz help Zambia.

  94. The time is now that all Zambians should awake from their deep slumber of ignorance, lets vote HH, young, healthy, intelligent, successful and rich.

We do not need dead man walking(Sata) in plot 1, nor do we want poor and ignorant(RB) who will end up like bus conductor(Chiluba), by plundering with this money hungly cabinet we have.Neither do we want the clueless(Godfrey Miyanda)he will lose track of the good economical direction that the Cabbege but hard working(LPM) left us in.Nor do we want the I know it all(Magande) who will not be able to listen to advise as he thinks that he know better than anybody else, this will reduce investor confidence in Zambia.

    Lets all vote HH.

  95. Lets all vote for the MMD candidate not tribalist like Satana and money hunry HH.If any of these two go to plot one they will be so impotent and lost eventually they will just start plundering the good works LMP and team has done.My fellow Zedians do not read much of the rubbish on this blogg written by bored ill advised ,tribalists ,who are busy cleaning toilets in UK and USA we know them.

  96. THE BEHAVIOUR OF ZNBC IS DISGUSTING, UNIMAGINABLE AND GRIEFLY UNPATRIOTIC. HOW IN THE WORLD COULD THEY BE CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS AT THE AIRPORT AND CONCENTRATING ON THEM WHEN THE PRESIDENTS BODY HAD ARRIVED AND WAS BEING REMOVED FROM THE PLANE. WHY COULDNT THEY CONCENTRATE ON THE NATURAL SOUND AND SONGS BEING SANG BY PEOPLE.

THIS IS THE MOST SHOCKINGLY THING IN TELEVISION HISTORY IN ZAMBIA.

THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN INTERESTED IN PRESIDENT MWANAWASA WHICH IS WHY UNTIL MINISTRY OF FINANCE STARTED SHOWING DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC PROGRAMMES AROUND ZAMBIA, WE ALL THOUGHT NOTHING WAS HAPPENING.

IAM DESPARATELY SAD AND AGRIEVED! IF THERE IS A WAY, LET THEM BE FIRED!

  97. Please can someone advise the remainder of Govt that we cannot have a President being buried at his private farm, the man is state property, he should be buried at a public place where people and visitors can easily access and pay their homage, like someone has already said we can even turn it(the burial site) into a tourist site. The ground should be maintained and managed by the state. Palabana farm is way too private-even if you may argue that it was his will. What happens when KK and FTJ die?? Are we going to scatter them all over the show. Please consult your collegues in other countries.

  98. What Musonda says makes alot of sense.we cannot have our President and past presidents scattered at their private sites. Why cant places like Parliament premises,Cabinet, freedom statue area,or indeed any other place of national significance be designated? These(presidents)carry with them alot of zambias history and they deserve to be placed at a site that shall remain historical for the rest of zambias lifespan.

  99. I’ve learn several just right stuff here. Certainly price bookmarking for revisiting. I wonder how a lot attempt you put to create any such great informative site.
