The United Party for National Development (UPND) has charged that the unfolding events at the Electoral Commission (ECZ) of Zambia were expected.
The UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma said the party has always known that the institution is corrupt.
Mr. Kakoma said time has come for Zambians to know the true operations of the ECZ.
He has since called for a thorough and independent investigation of the operations of the ECZ.
Mr. Kakoma said that the agencies should move in quickly to resolve issues at ECZ before the coming of the general elections.

Kalale should not be reinstated…he is a shame to the nation and to God as the bible clearly states that authority comes from God and not man through rigging elections…this government is busy favouring a crook at the expense of the true leaders of our beloved country. Truelly Zambia is on SALE!

No. 4 and 5 you dont read newspapers. You are not well informed of what is happening in Zambia. The opposition parties had complained several times about the poor performance of ECZ but your MMD has always supported Dan Kalale, cousin to George Kunda. Kunda has already started fighting for reinstatement of Kalale as if he is a babe before his contract expires. Strange! Kalale you are not indespansible. Get byour dues and find another job, but not at ECZ. RB and George are responsible for what is happening at ECZ. George seems to be more powerful than RB because RB trusts him alot.
Reinstating Kalale is just as good as appointing vj to director at ecz. But Red lips may win this battle.

#1 Not again, there is one thing that people are failing to understand about this saga. Neither Kalale nor Justice Mumba are liked by the Post or Sata. That makes the strategy easy, i.e. you have nothing to lose but everything to gain by playing one against the other. The casualty is immaterial too, one or both but in this case there are two casualties which is a bonus.
What do you expect from Kakoma? Don’t be too demanding guys.
At times i am tempted to comtribute when people start hallucinating. RB has never appointed Kalale or Judge Mumba. The two have been there for sometime. Why didnt UPND tell us these things and also the biasness of some renowned tabloids is irritating to say the least. For them their source of news is Mpombo, sata, father bwalya,almost on a daily basis. They have decided to ignore men like HH. They cant even guide the nation properly on the scandals at ECZ and LCC. Had it been an MMD official, they would have made an ocean out of digging deeper. But because the opposite is the case you wont hear them apart from rambling about these issues. Well i have noticed that zambians are fed up of their kind of journalism. You just need to see how long their paper takes to sell.

But people in Zambia are so dull mwe! Who heads the ECZ? Mumba was appointed shortly after the 2006 election. So how does Kalale rig when his boss is watching him? In fact, who would naturally authorise rigging? Is it not the boss herself?
This thing has nothing to do with rigging. Both PF in 2006 & 2008 and UPND in 2001 failed to prove rigging because all the ballots tallied with the books in the polling station and voters register. There are over 4,800 polling stations and none of them had ‘rigging’ irregularities.
This rigging story has just come up because your preferred candidate lost. Chapwa! Its like how Liverpool fans claim Man U buy referees. It’s all just baseless nonsense!
These losers should be upping their game instead of making false claims.
