NRP welcomes Sata’s call for political parties to unite

PF Leader Michael Sata

The National Revolution Party (NRP) says patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata’s calls for the all opposition political parties ahead of this year’s elections are welcome.

NRP President Dr. Cosmo Mumba said all well meaning opposition leaders should come on board and unite so as to have stronger ground to defeat the ruling MMD.

Dr. Mumba told QFM in an exclusive interview that divisions among the opposition political parties would give the MMD a loophole to still the votes hence the need for unity.

The opposition leader has, however, suggested that should the opposition unite a council of presidents that will endorse the candidature of an aspiring president be formed.

Dr. Mumba further observed that Zambia needs a new wave of leadership that will live to address the aspirations of ordinary citizens.

  1. Council of presidents ndiyo yivuta. All want to be presidents. Even you mumba, i dont think you would get more than ten votes from each province. Ypu are a president just on paper.

  2. Its chaps like this african medicine doctor who want to lead mother zambia !….just disband your party and join pf you fool. Chances are you yourself may not even vote for yourself … you and your wife and children will vote for RB… stupid fools

  3. There is a new method of removing politicians from power. ask Tunisia, Egypt and now Jordan. The least we can do in Zambia is just to unite all political parties under one then chuck out these thieves.

  4. Now that King Co has failed to manipulate UPND he wants to hookup other parties to supportthen ditch them when they help him get into State House. This doesn’t make sense at all, PF has failed in a PACT with one party, how then can they work with more than one party. I mean, they have even picked their MP for all the 150 constituencies. NONSENSE.

  5. iwe cosmo mumba..born again doctor..heheheheu drink too much beer my broda..this call is useless from sata especially that he failed with HH and Saki..

  6. He failed to use Judge Mumba, lets see how far he goes with Cosmo Mumba.

  7. jackal,

so you are not born again? I can’t ask you about being a doctor since that is more difficult to get, than to be born again because Jesus paid the price for anyone who will believe in him and accept him as Saviour. And oh, John 14.6 is good.

  8. gundix,
my man..am very much born again not these conmen like Cozmo..which bicth at break point doesn’t know this chap?he drinks like a shark and yet u call him pastor at ur church..!eish..i detest his behaviour..anyways,time will tell..

  9. In 2008 cosmo Mumba and Nawakwi thought it was meat or chicken. Now they have realised that it’s “Nyamasoya” ke ke ke ke ke!!! Ine nseko.

  10. MUMBA COZMO DOES YOUR PARTY HAVE EVEN MEMBERSHIP WHO CAN VVOTE FOR YOU, I LOVE MOTHER ZAMBIA ANY ONE CAN JUST WORK UP AND CALL THEMSELVES AS PRESIDENT, WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT PARTY WITH A LONG NAME ZAMUCHANO MADODA?

  11. Bashikulu Sata, we have heard u many times calling on other opposition leaders to unite but your actions have proved to the contrary. Let us see u unite with UPND first then we can trust what u say and do. When u tell us that u are in the PACT with UPND but the next moment we hear u are fielding 150 MPs and again u are not seen holding rallies together with HH then u leave us in suspense whether we should take what u say seriously or not.

  12. The problem with the opposition is that they take Zambians for granted. The levels of illiteracy are slowly going down and people are fast catching up with reality. The pain this country has is to be lied to by old, recycled and tired politicians. People that have been on GRZ payroll half their lives. Honestly when are the young ones going to lead and bring a fresh breath? We have read about these serpents from the time we were in Primary school in the 70s and todate they still want the govt to be paying them! Grow up and retire to your homesteads. It is time for HH, Felix Mutati, Milupi, Clive Chirwa, Given Lubinda, Muhabi Lungu etc. To be honest i dont think the call for unity is genuine other than to say we must also “steal” as we are running broke!

  13. Good obzervation Cosmo Mumba. However, don’t go on wasting time on what you call “council of prezidents”. Who among theze prezidents, NAWAKWI, SEKWIBA, HAKAINDE, B.Y MWILA, TILYENJI, SIULAPWA, MILUPI, CHIPIMO JNR and a tandem of more others, do you think haz any realistic chance against RB and the MMD? I have deliberately left out M.C. SATA.

  14. Jackal,

Before you write anything you need to ask yourself. Why do i want to write this?To who,and for what purpose? Is it going to help some one out there,or destroy a person?
This will help you come up with a very good way of thrughing your thoughts.
So my beloved JACKAL, post anything you would want with full of love, respect and fear for God in your heart.
    Remember HE is watching you.
All people want now is just change of Gvmnt, and thats a fact.Thats the wind over Africa right now,and to avoid what we see and hear,is to do it with respect for one another. We just need a new President, old or young.I can tell you, this will be done for our sweet country Zambia.
God bless even as you change for good.

  15. UNITE > REMOVE MMD > WHAT NEXT ?? = NO ANSWER.
Remmember this is how UNIP was removed and after giving MMD 20 years we are still not seeing development!!
REMOVING MMD without a clear agenda for development amounts to nothing..
In my opinion, the Opposition still needs another 5 years to re-organise themselves

  16. Some of us are now thinking globally and working on a global scale, other than wait for development for ever. I mean its a global village now.
One needs to network across the globe other than invest all hopes in small economies with small markets.
Our friends are uniting economically e.g EU, CANADA/USA, ASIA etc but in Africa we still feel the likes of SATA etc can bring economic miracles!!
    Keep Voting guys!!

  17. PF and Sata; be care of the Post. Their praises on you are just going to creat hatred from the public. You can’t just be praised everyday; are a perfections who has done no wrong. Watch HH how he is going to cut across you and RB. You have failed the Pact and now you want to call for all politcal parties to unite. You and your Winter Kabimba has failed the people of Zambia. Come voting time we will show you the way out. HH is the only way now.

  18. On September 25, 2006 in an editorial titled Watch Satanic Deeds, The Post gave an apt description of Mr Sata’s insatiable appetite for the State presidency, saying he was “a danger to himself and those who want to believe in him.”

The editorial read in part: “A wicked person has no future – nothing to look forward to. People who promise things they never give, or will never be able to give, are like clouds and wind that bring no rain.

“The behaviour of Michael Sata is everything else but wise. It is the kind of behaviour that people with no goodwill and no serious intention engage in. It is very clear that Sata has no shame. He will go to any length to gain power. If it means becoming stupid to become head of state, he will do it. If he thinks being a fool will earn him power, he…

  19. Cosmo, stu.pi.d witch doctor..foolish boy..You supported RB in 2008 but when you never got a coin…you changed and said you wanted satana..next you’ll say you are supporting me.Please don’t coz I wont give you a f**kin dime you f**l. Nanaka nembushi iyi
