Former Zambia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union Emmanuel Mwamba has called on Zambians to respect the office of the presidency.
Mr Mwamba said Zambians should also give President Hakainde Hichilema time to rule because he has been chosen by God to govern the country.
He was speaking during the ordination ceremony of Reverend Brian Changwe of Mount Zion Pentecostal Assembly of God Church in Kasama yesterday.
Mr Mwamba urged the church to provide counsel to politicians by praying for them as they lead the country.
And Bread of Life Church Overseer for Northern Province Reverend Elias Mponela has appealed to leaders to focus on their calling.
Rev Mponela said leaders cannot be liked by everyone but that God has a purpose why he puts them in leadership.
Reverend Mponela further called on Zambia not to compare leadership because everyone has different styles of leadership.
He also advised those seeking leadership positions in the country to wait for their time and not fight those whom God has allowed to lead at present.
Yaba!
Sudden change, what has happened? good you have realized that not everything should be roasted. You are now on the right side of everything.
Why are those clergymen pretending that they have any knowledge of governance and ruling the country? You have not. Stay in your church, do what people expect from you, and stay out of politics. Like Nevers Mumba, he is a pastor and now he thinks he also knows about politics. Hey Nevers, I have news for you: you are a total failure in politics. Last years election results have proven my point. STAY IN YOUR CHURCH!
What stuff are you now smoking ba Mwamba nemwe? Did you ever hear of HH say that about late President Michael Chilufya Sata or President Edgar Lungu? HH never recognised these two as having been God chosen. Is this how to become politically relevant?
Kikikikiki,,,,,,,Mwamba??? Are you sure of what you are saying? Sometimes its better to keep quiet if you have nothing to say.
Him and the party rejected Lungu from day one of Lungu’s Presidency to the extent of blocking his motorcade. Was Lungu chosen by Lucifer the Devil?
@NO Corruption Zambia. You have hit the nail on the head. The earlier herealises that he is a political failure the better for him and his family.
The party he claims to be leading is now in the dustbin of history. He would do better to join the ranks of Imakado and others though it may be too late as these fellows have already amassed. It will be a toll order to lift Victory to another level. The other option will be just to beg HH for a role at the Zambian embassy in Ukrain.
People, when someone speaks sense let’s just applaud them. Mwamba has finally come to his senses
I don’t care what this ***** says cos whatever a fool will say, sense or nonsense , he is still a fool at the end of the day. Mwamba is one main character why Zambia is poor today-he was in charge of rigging for the PF all these past elections. He is the very last person UPND can ever trust. Pls HH never allow this crony near any GRZ position pls. No even a cleaning job. Pls!
Balesabaila fye ba Mwamba. He is actually the one who has been giving HH no breathing space writing all sorts of nonsense against him.
Someone told him he could be appointed as ambassador to Malawi. HH wants to be seen as an inclusive president.
@No Corruption Zambia, @Observer,
First of all ask yourselves, how long has Nevers Mumba been in Politics? It doesn’t make sense for you to suggest that he leaves politics and “STAY IN YOUR CHURCH”. NEVERS Mumba is a politician in the first place and a clergyman as secondary. He has served this country in different positions, and the fact that his MMD has not won the support of many Zambians, should not be the reason for him to leave, if he chooses not to, and if the MMD members still want him.
When r Zambians going to learn the difference btwn ruling & governing. Ruling was for kings who ingerited power as a birth right till death. A 5 yr mandete is governing. 2026 is coming, it won’t be like Kabwata, were they can post pone.
