Unruly Patriotic Front cadres, this morning attacked and nearly lynched a ZNBC crew that went to cover the PF Lusaka province conference and launch of the party manifesto.
The visibly drunk cadres, who where deployed at the entrance of Garden house motel blocked the crew from entering the venue and threatened to burn the vehicle together with the crew inside it.
The PF carders who were armed with sticks and stones harassed the journalists accusing them of not covering the PF leader Michael Sata.
Some cadres also attempted to grab the camera from ZNBC cameraman Cuthbert Miti.
One cadres hit the cameraman on the shoulder while others vented their anger on the vehicle banging it with sticks and fists.
When asked why a crew that was invited to cover the PF function was harassed, Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba claimed the cadres were not from his party.
Mr Kabimba told ZNBC by telephone that he had given strict instructions that all members of the press be allowed passage into the motel.
He said he was sorry that such an incident had occurred.

#2, you must be an underfive if you don’t know that your leader Sata comes from UNIP. Are you not aware that Sata was District Governor in UNIP and held other positions too? Sata grew up with the UNIPist wamuyaya cadre syndrome while his colleague RB had some exposure to civilised behaviour through his various appointments as Ambassador and Minister of Foreign Affairs. That is why Sata is PF and PF is Sata, because that dictatorial wamuyaya syndrome is in his blood. And that is why PF is the only party in Zambia with a “Central Committee”, another hangover from UNIP days which Sata has failed to shed off. So next time you want to talk about UNIPists, ask those who know. My reference to UNIP is just to educate you, I do not mean to despise KK who did a lot for Zambia.

I see that many underfive PF cadres seem to think that Sata just dropped from somewhere. They don’t seem to know his background except the recent picture that the Post is trying to portray of Sata. The same Post until barely two years ago taught us a lot about the real Sata, they actually portrayed Sata as evil. Now either either the Post think that we are all underfives, or they think that all Zambians have bad memories, or they have become evil themselves.
Imagine how low these *****s can sink? all it takes is tujilijili and yet other people are the ones minting the raw dow? Illiteracy and ignorance…..PF’s stronghold? Lord have mercy
And the Post is yet to turn against Sata, just wait and mark my word. I say so because although the Post are currently giving him a positive coverage, in practice they have not renounced or withdrawn those evil and hate words that they used to describe Sata and his behaviour. Just wait for Sata to make one little mistake against the Post and you will remember my words. You don’t have long to wait because it is the nature of Sata to bungle big time.

The unwritten rule of the media in zambia is that when you are in opposition, you are likely to be covered more by the private media like the Post. Anything you say to sting those in government will attract rave interviews and you will feel like its your opinion which realy matters most, seing your views in the Post. And when you are in government, the govt media will extensively cover you well, Mr Sata can bear witness to this as he did serve in govt in 2 previous administrations. thats the way it has been from the day we reverted to multipatysm. the Post have over the years covered those critical of govt, and govt media have portrayed the govt side.If you have been to school, you would do well to decipher what is true or not, otherwise never believe all you read in the media.

When the MMD held their provincial conference where they elected William Banda, the PF were nowhere in sight. So why did the MMD go near Garden Hotel where MMD was holding its conference? Who invited them? Is that not deliberate provocation of the PF? As for MMD ZNBC, it is a well known fact that they always report very, very negatively on the PF. In fact, it is totally unheard of for the MMD ZNBC to report anything good concerning the PF. So their presence was equally provocative. They should just have stayed away.
