Bonnie Mwamelo has decided to rescind his decision to step down as Faz executive committee member. Mwamelo issued a statement today at Football House at which he declared he was returning to serve as Faz vice president.
Mwamelo said: “Following my posting on social media announcing my resignation as Vice President yesterday, I am pleased to state that was hastily and inopportune pronouncement is reversed and set aside I continue as Vice President of the Football Association of Zambia and remain committed to the President, Executive Committee and our vision as set out.
I regret the premature leakage of that posting to the media, its subsequent publication and any distress that may have caused our members of the football fraternity and nation as a whole.
With this statement, let me restate my commitment to discharging my duties diligently and to the best of my abilities as we continue on the path to development, success of Zambian football and the Chipolopolo which we have all firmly placed on the road to success.”
What type of madness is this?
The circus continues. It goes to show the caliber of people that are running football in Zambia. Simply put they are cowards and are running F.A.Z like headless chickens. Did he not think about the consequences of his actions before he posted it on the world wide web. What a shame!
This man is corrupt that is why he is changing positions. Zambian football has become very unmanageable. when you have such crooks you can not move forward at all
Off-course ,what do you expect from a person serving under Kalusha!
The FAZ and FIFA are identical in many ways, they are a disgrace, they think these associations are personal to holder.
sorry, #5 should read The management at the FAZ and FIFA are……..
hilarious!! Does this guy hope to be taken seriously ever again? “Premature leakage to the media”?? Will his next one be “mature” ?? What ever happened to integrity?? It obviously isn’t a word in this comrades repertoire!! I wish him luck with his obvious indecisiveness !!
No one plays with the great kalu.mwamelo ask those that resigned earlier where are they?
What’s wrong with this guy? U donot score a goal then tell the Stadium you have changed your mind! the referee has already blown!
I see no-one on this blog has time for this sort of MMD rubbish! Mwamelo, I wish yyou luck with your future endevours (whererever that may be and with or without FAZ! This shows us the level of lack of seriousness people in FAZ attach to management of soccer (when in other countries), it is a billion Dollar industry!
he should be fired…dull chap…kalu do something.
This guy doesnt know what he is doing…..he definately is corrupt. They should get rid of hi mwe. Its embarrassing!!
Arrest the man,he is corrupt! am sure his way back is to go shred evidence he forgot to work on. Please never take this man serious, take everything he says with a pinch of salt. FAZ is full of jokers. i can safely support the KAMANGA administration now, they seem to know the things they talk about FAZ. please find forensic auditors to arrest these crooks. audit the expenses accumulated during the confusion period-am sure there are a lot of fake receipts and claims.
it is sad that the most cherished sport in zambia is being managed or rather organized by such indecisive individuals. if at all faz has any code of conduct, this man must be subjected to it. he is a trait who does not qualify to hold the post that was given to him.
Kwa kwa kwa!!!! Chicken malabishi iwe!!
we deserve better
My assessment of this chap yesterday couldn’t have been more apt! A spineless wimp!! Presumably a few crumbs eventually found their way to him or he is so limp, a loud growl for the great galu got him back in line kow towing. He indeed lacks balls(pardon the pun), more like he is endowed with “utu mpombwa!!” Unfortunately , he is now at the mercy of great galu, who can simply fire him for incompetency at his own pleasure.
I really shouldn’t be so harsh on the guy, the politics of hunger that engulf mother Zambia are no surprise for such flip flopping – keep that belly full man!! A word of advice though, IN LIFE, ALWAYS HAVE a PLAN B & PLAN C if things were ever to go wrong with PLAN A! So use your borrowed lifeline wisely before the Galu growls at you again!!!
You are still a Quitter, mushy brain. You are the kind of person who would say, ‘save water, drink beer.’
ma labishi wasting pipo’s time!
‘I regret the premature ejaculation of that posting to the media’. I feel pity for his wife.
Mwamelo is a f-o-o-l. Kalu has given him dollars not to resign. May I hear a comment from Kamanga and Simata. FAZ has changed its name to “FOOLS ASSOCIATION OF ZAMBIA”.
No.1 Abesu – its the type they normally have chained at Chainama :d
So each time you quarrel with someone or differ in opinion you will tender a resignation? How can we operate like that…?
the guy doesn’t even know who nearly caused him to resign… Post 09/06/2011…
“And co-opted FAZ executive committee member Miles Sampa has quit hisposition …. after a spat with Mwamelo on Tuesday” ….. He (Mwamelo) however, said his earlier decision to resign had nothing to do with his spat with Sampa….” …”No (not Miles Sampa) irreconcilable differences between me and GS,” Mwamelo said. (end strings) Apparently he is fighting left right and centre… eish, my FAZ!
What is happening pa Zed? Is this the best leadership available?
The man just wanted to make some headlines in the media. His boss has taken too much media space of late with his “hungerson” praising his every move.
more money born,keep on.
u get a tanzanian, make him FAZ vice and expect integrity..
Wow!!!!!! Limbi, quickly quickly, great galu ” old chap dont go check your bank account ive dropped somthing”
Can someone take those mobile hospitals to Football House and treat the insane.
#28 what iis wrong with a Tanzanian? Think before issuing senseless statements.
Mushota, what’s your comment on this saga?
Zambian brothers convicted of match-fixing
A Finnish court has convicted two Zambian brothers of match-fixing in the country’s football league last year.
The Oulu District Court says the Yobes were found guilty of taking 50,000 Euros ($72,500) in bribes to influence the outcome of a game last September.
