As if being 3-0 down wasn’t bad enough, Zambia Under-23 will be without Fwayo Tembo for the return leg home game against Algeria on JUne 18.
The striker from FC Basel in Switzerland will miss Zambia’s Olympic Games football tournament second round qualifying match due to suspension.
Fwayo has accumulated two yellow cards in as many Olympic Games qualifying matches played after being cautioned in the first round, first leg game against Rwanda at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka that Zambia won 2-0 on March 27.
Zambia went on to advance to the second round 3-0 on aggregate.
The striker received his second yellow card on June 3 away in Algeria in the first leg match where Lucky Msiska’s teams were thumped 3-0 in Algiers.
Meanwhile, Msiska’s team goes into camp tomorrow in Lusaka before switching camp to Chingola next week where they will host Algeria at Nchanga Stadium.
Zambia need to win by 3-0 to force penalties or win by an four unanswered goals to advance to the group stage qualifying phase of the Africa zone qualifiers.

This is why no media house had ever wanted to say something about the under-23, it is coz they lost. This game i believe was played during the weekend, and since then no one has dared to report. When the national term won we received the news there and then. Plz even if we lose tell us we still support the boys. Pardon me if am mistaken. We wish the boys good luck, and our wishes can only come true through hard work. let the whole team including the technical bench work extra hard and together. And believe you me if they work hard we can make it. Go boys go.

I see no reason why appreciating Bonnetti.. When his national team losses he fly direct to his home country without accompaning the players returning home from the away games. If he Bonnetti could not poach on some under 23 players, Msiska’s team would be recording wins.. Where are those over 23 years olds??? Msiska is always deprived of talented under 23 players by this Bonnetti who want Msiska’s team humilitated at all costs. Huts off Lucky Msiska.. Our home grown coach, who is coaching not for money but love for his home country :)
