Green Buffaloes this evening lost 2-1 away to hosts Ismaily in their Caf Confederation Cup last 16 round, 1st leg match played in Cairo.
The two sides were locked at 0-0 going into the break before Buffaloes took the lead after the restart when midfielder Morgan Hanjeema put the visitors ahead on 57minutes.
Buffaloes had defender Patrick Masosa and striker Sekelanu Mwale sent off.
Buffaloes lead lasted until the last 20 minutes when Abdallah El Said equalized in the 78th minute.
Omar Gamal made sure of victory with the winner in stoppage time to give Ismaily a slender but vital edge to take into the return leg to be played in Lusaka on April 21.
Buffaloes will need to win by one goal in the final leg in a fortnight’s time to secure their pre-group stage place.
